Learnt this kata today with simon Oliver. Very nice old kata. Taught to the women by konishi wife.. Women stance is different. Bunkai is really affective.
@Missy31393 You must take each technique out of the kata and practice it's "Bunkai" with a partner attacking you. In many cases, the technique may be modified to use it as an actual combat technique. The kata as you see here is merely a way of cataloging the techniques so they can be remembered quickly.
elmanninja, you know the histiry this kata because really there 2 way to do it, but this is the original way (kata was created for womens japanese) for that reason the hands crossed, can you get it? the man taht executed is sensei high member directory Ryobukai (founded for Yasuhiro Konishi who created this kata with Kenwa mabuni and Morihei ueshiba) sure you know this so... search information my friend
@elmaninja it has nothing to do with your gender. if you look at the bunkai you'll see that these are basic techniques to get your arms free. it fits to BOTH genders.

Very interesting kata. It looks to have the elements of several other different Goju kata within it.

this isn't in the meibukan goju ryu system is it? because i was taught a completely different kata, with the exact same name
