  • i been there for a flield trip the shandler IS SO BIG!

  • These are REAL musicians...re-living the mind and music from a great genius...each note..each breath..each hand, each finger working in harmony as a whole is a feat far beyond any rapper or pop artist...we are very fortunate to be able to listen and appreciate such miracles!

  • Oddly enough Toscanini (1953 recording) does this more slowly!

  • Wonderful performance! Great concept. Everyone plays with tremendous understanding and commitment.

  • When I first listened I was like 'Holy crap O.O That's crazily fast' but then after reading the comments I was like 'FASTERRRRR'

  • Great! but want to insist trumpets more.

This movement should be played as fast as possible(as Frutwangler did in 1942version),so as to realize Schubert's struggle for his fretful and desperate feelings.

  • An excellent rendition of this symphony, this orchester of young Dutch players is to be congratulated, well done, fantastic

  • FASTER PEOPLES! FASTER! DO YOU HEAR ME! FAAAAAAAAASSSSSSTTTTTTTEEEEERRRRR! >XD

  • @Belldandy205 LOL

  • Szegény csajszi, akit közelről mutatnak: éppen az derül ki, hogy a harmadát játsza le annak, ami a kottában van...

  • Amazing but too fast...I can't play><

  • Very good tempo for Tom & Jerry, but not for Schubert!

  • Good Lord, this is fast!!! But good fast!!!

  • THANK YOU! YOU MAKE MY DAY !!!

  • at 0:34 = Living proof that not old folks are slow.

  • Juist. Dat kan dus niet.

  • Nagyon virtuóz előadás! (Néha még a dallam rovására is...)

  • conductor sitting down?

  • The orchestra tried play is fast, so that it could be inclouded in UTube...

  • Yes, the greatest invention of all time, and mankinds finest acheivement!

  • C'est tout à fait fabuleux!!!

  • FAAAAASTEEEEERRRR !!!!!!

  • He was a torch bearer at Ludwig's funeral and promised to surpass him, so what do

    you think?.I say yes.

  • He only had one more year to try!

  • @trips722 I don't think so, although I believe had he lived a decade or so longer, he certainly would have. Because he died so young, there's no way that Franz Schubert surpasses Beethoven.

  • I am quite sure, that the C-Major Symphony is counted as 8th symphony

  • You would be quite wrong.

  • Very nice, a lot of talent there.

I would say all the combined talent of modern pop is roughly equal to 1/4 of what's in that room

  • @jdoggybizzle far too generous but I agree with the sentiment ;P

  • Comment removed

  • @jdoggybizzle A quarter? You're definitely giving them too much credit. The popstrels that is. Honestly. :)

  • @jdoggybizzle well said..but i fear you are prob being generous!....

  • The cut is rather ugly. I checked in the score: the first three bars of the the development are missing. Still very nice. Thanks for sharing.

  • Fans... (!!!!) whitout words.

    Musicians and high quality players

    The communion: This.

I love this older man. Is simply all I want ...

  • is't played by the 19th Century Orcherstra of NJO?????

  • Yeah, we played Schubert 9 in Concertgebouw Amsterdam August 4th.

  • This piece always makes me think about the good things in life, instead of the bad. Thats why I love the pieceso much.

  • This a legendary video, with a legendary works. The Franz Brüggen figure is only worthy of gratitude and admiration.
