Man Desperation Band is one of my favorite bands. I found out that Paul Mabury who produced a bunch of the hillsong records is producing Desperation Band this summer. I've been listening to Paul's band One Sonic Society a ton lately and they are incredible. seriously worth checking out!!

Since god does nothing to enhance his reputation as a benevolent and loving god, maybe more people would consider christianity as a life choice if the music was better. This is poor, middle-of-the-road, unoriginal drivel, full of the usual platitudes and over-used vocabulary of the christian clique that's exclusive and insular. This song is stinking amazing. Every time I hear it, I can't help but stop and think, "How much do I really love my God? The amount that I love Him, even through all of eternity, doesn't compare to the amount that He loves me in a single second. Wow." This is actually unbiblical. 2 Cor 5:17 Says: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

All humans are born with a sin nature, but when you surrender your life to Christ he makes you whole again. Jesus said he was returning for a Church without spots. (see Jude)

The last part of your first paragraph also denies the changing power of Jesus Christ. Which a) is false, b) see 2 Timothy 3:1-5

You are correct, but this does not remove the sinful nature. There have been priests who have committed SERIOUS sins after accepting Christ.

Spiritually, we are clean. I have no fear that I will not go to Heaven. I fear a lot that I will not be able to stay on the road that God intended for me on Earth.

Redemption means you have received God's blessing in forgiveness. And if you sin after that point, it's because you choose to.

Someone who hasn't accepted Christ is a sinner. Thus, sin Nature. Someone that's received Christ is a Saint,who if sins, is making a choice to go against the new nature they've gained in Jesus Christ. Seriously in love ppardee, may I suggest a book: Driven by Eternity by John Bevere

One thing I love about the bible is that it leaves PLENTY of room for interpretation. It means different things to different people.

I have accepted Christ, but my fundamental self did not change when I did. I am on a journey to become more Christ-like. I am in a constant battle to fight my sinful nature and habits and to be good, not fighting my good nature and consciously choosing to be sinful.

The Bible says that all have sinned and it says that we aren't all perfect but we can strive to be what God expects many times. Yes, someone who hasn't accepted Christ is a sinner, but that doesn't mean that someone who has accepted Christ isn't. When we accept Christ, we're still in earthly bodies. not sure when this concert was...but you can check out this song in 2 places. my favorite is new life worship's cd "my Savior lives." (desperation band is part of new life church) the second spot you can find this song is on desperation band's cd "who You are."

both are good cd's but there's some really powerful stuff on the new life worship one. desperation band is helping lead on the new life worship cd.
