  • Cette petite exotique ne comprend rien à ce qu'elle chante! stupide manie qu'ont les orientaux de s'attaquer à des disciplines qui leur sont étrangères!

  • Very good... the articulation is very good indeed! A voice able and capable of singing in any of the worlds major houses...

  • hmm. yea. as much as it pains me to say negative things, I must be honest: She is completely sub-par and not fully trained, clearly. poor lady. work on ENUNCIATION and sustaining your breath...and everything else dear. I hate to think that some aspiring singer might watch this and actually try to re-create it. I really hope that never happens.

  • great voice, but the "mershe" killed the song.

  • I disapprove of singers being allowed to do public performances of material that is so obviously beyond their reach -- her low/chest voice is non-existent and she cannot perform the music as written (no trills, for instance). This cavalier attitude toward the composers may have been sanctioned in the days before the bel canto revival but should be allowed no longer. Her beautiful voice won't last or get her a good career if she continues this way...

  • Bravissima, anche perchè fa tutto bene a un tempo sconsideratamente folle!

  • I wish the video could be matched up to the audio- It's distracting, but just for the sound, very nice, not much low notes- nice trill. Not a coloratura but I like the smoky quality of the voice. Not sure she would have the stanima for a full performance of this opera, but for a concert it's very nice. Thanks for posting! Ernesto

  • It's definitely a beautiful round and juicy voice, though the coloratura is a bit sketchy, and honestly, I really can't hear a trill. She totally omits the first two sustained trills, and near the end, she starts a trill which sounds good, but quickly degenerates into a simple vibrato. I agree with you about her stamina. I doubt she could get through the whole role.

  • her voice is slow to react, except in the forte at the end of each half. strange crescendos (aka pushing) at the end of each sentence, esp beginning. no low notes. no trill. coloratura approximate, some wrong notes.

  • I really like this voice. I am only wondering if they are amplified.

  • wow what a beautiful timbre..very round..

  • loving

  • re tempo - it's a tempo in which coloraturas sing that aria (smilar to that of Moffo or Sutherland) much faster than lyric sopranos - mainly because they can ;)

  • terrific voice

  • Nice voice

  • Her name is Yuqun Ruan. I saw her on TV in the national singing contest in China. I loved her voice.

  • The tempo is WAY TOO FAST...can you hear her choking on the phrases? I mean, not even the baddest of the sopranos who essayed this aria took it that fast! The voice has a lush, dark color. I really like. Would be nice to hear her sing Leonora in Trovatore or maybe Elvira in Ernani. Good stuff! Just too fast.

  • No ways too fast - it may be too fast for her, agreed, but there are enough singers that manage that fast tempo: Deutekom (in her stunning studio recording) Moffo and of course Sutherland - all of them with exciting top Es at the end. This lady no doubt has a lovely voice but the coloratura is smugged and some of those top notes dont come off on pitch. Still, a joy to hear!

  • i agree! It's too fast for her...but for example angela gheorghiu can sing this aria faster :P

  • She is a bit like the asian version of Karita Matilla hehe

  • Absolutely loved it. A luscious voice and a lovely lady. The trills and every other difficulty handled with ease. What a singer! Why can we not know who she is?
