Of course there is pain its a needle going through your face i just got it and safe to say its a 6 outta 20 on the pain scale and you do have nerves where they pierce it its above your lip not on it other then that great vid :)

You seem to really know your stuff, One thing I wish you would have stated was about the cartilage, You said not to do it with a gun which I agree with I just wish you would have said what can happen if you do it with the wrong kind of gun, It can actually shatter your cartilage if you use a spring one(I think its a spring one but not completely sure).
hey, when you took it out, did the inside of your lip have a dent in it? because ive had my monroe for like a year and a half now, and whenever i change it, theres a circular indent in my lip from where the back of the bar was.
your video helped alot i have been thinking about getting mine done and the only thing that has stopped me is the pain factor and because my friends dont want me to but i still really want it!
you shouldnt care if your frends dont want you to get it, its your body & if you really want it then go for it! i can honestly tell you it didnt hurt me & i really like it!

@KittenDoll13 I have my monroe, and it doesn't scrape againsts your gums, only if when it's swollen at first from getting it pierced & you have to small of a stud in. but besides that, it's got a flat back, so it doesn't even bump them.
I got mine dun about 8 months ago. For mi 14 th bday. Didnt hurt at all. Only problem ws wen i got a new stud tht apparently had nickel in it and caused an allergic reaction. Other than tht i had no issues with it. And i stil enjoy the look today:)

I Agree. It Didnn't Hurt! I Felt Like A Little Pinch, That Was It. I Also Have My Nose Pierced. For Me, It Hurt The Worst To Get My Ears Pierced. Like, My Ears Were Really Sensitive And Tender After I Got Them Done. But With My Monroe And Nose, I Could Barely Feel Them. I Want To Get An Industrial (Bar Through Ear) .

@clearencia13 im also afraid of needles like phobic of them but done piercings anyway. i got my belly done last month and it was a piece of cake. then last friday i got my nose and that felt kinda funny. so now im going to get my eyebrow and monroe done tomorrow.
@iMaryMac I am not going to lie, it is quite painful after it goes through, but after its fine. Your nose will bleed, and your eye that corresponds with the side of you nose that you got done will water:) Easy to clean, mine never got infected. I assume because you are watching a beauty girl, you wear makeup. You aren't allowed to put makeup around the piercing or it will dry out and be flaky.

@CrazzyGirllMaddz i had my belly button done , and it honestly doesn't hurt . of course it's uncomfortable - but it's tolerable . i'm a big baby , so before i even got it marked i was freaking out . but once they pushed the needle through , it actually calmed down . afterwards actually hurts more than the actual piercing because it's swollen and red .
a good way to keep a scar away is friction. We learned in massage school that friction can break up scar tissue. so just kinda rub over it quickly to create heat, and maybe grab your lip and lightly massage it daily to increase circulation. but def try the friction cause that will decrease scar tissue. :)

I don't know what you're talking about, because my monroe hurt pretty bad haha. Then again, I pierced it myself.
I LOVE my monroe, I don't ever want to take it out! BUT if I ever have to, I don't want that hole on my top lip to be there forever :-( my bottom lip already has two ugly holes from the piercings I took out about two years ago!
i had my monroe pierced, and i took it out when it was still healing, so the mark eventually healed right over. :), but you could try to put vitamin E on it, it helps scars etc. Liquid Vitamin E.
