I believe paul was speaking of himself, and his imperfection and need to sin in the flesh, a slave to perhaps lust or gluttony reminded by the law what is good but unable to achieve anything more than man is able. Knowing he is not under the law freed him, but made him feel evil when he sinned. So i feel he is speaking of himself a born again follower of christ. Peace. Happy christmas
