Yes, they are just a tool. I have found after 25 years of using Macs and PCs, I am much more effective at achieving my goal (mostly in tv production, but other areas as well) when using a Mac. Much more user friendly for my kind of right brain dominance.

The only reason why I would consider a Mac is Final Cut Pro. However that has nothing to do with how user friendly a Mac is. I find remarks like "more user friendly for my kind of right brain dominance" rather weak. I run a large graphic design site and unlike you I don't work with the OS all day, I work with applications like Photoshjop, Illustrator, Indesign, Cinema 4D, Dreamweaver, After Effects, etc and guess what....they look and act exactly the same on both Mac and PC.

i5 is quad core i7 is a virtualy octo core and u could have just saved u a couple of bucks and bought only 4gb and install extra 4 yourself and u could have put your money in the 2tb hard drive(cause is preety creepy to install)

Good luck with your new imac 27". I have two imacs and love them. I'm waiting on the 27" till they work out a few bugs. Some people are having problems with vertical lines and or flickering. It's a mac, so if you do have a problem they will fix it. Did you buy the Apple care? I did for both my imacs.

Hope you do a mac channel. I'm sure I could learn a lot from you. Take care.

u can check out my vid on the unboxing of the refurb i got. the only difference really is the outside box is brown not white with pictures. they change any defects if there were any and if there were cosmetic blemishes like scratches they change the casing too. i just wanted to let you know so it can save you some $ down the road if u ever buy another apple product. i have always bought apple refurbished products and not once has it been faulty or scratched.gr8 vid enjoy ur cpu marry christmas:)

congrats on the new purchase its a beautiful computer. i just wanted to let you know that under apples website they have their refurbished section and the computers are brand new. i bought a macbook pro and saved around 300 dollars. they come with the same warranty for a year plus u have the option to buy the extended one too. they dont have these new imacs yet cause they just came out but soon they should people exchange them or return them for what ever reason and apple sells them for cheaper.
