  • The exception would have been the gnx, not be confused with the gns 85 speedo (a total joke). Anyway a stock gnx registered 160 in 87 out of the factory but was technically an aftermarket touch by asc at the time.

  • speedo ends at 85?!? wtf...

  • @RFreigeldorff A federal mandate limited all speedos from manufacturers to 85 back then, with exception to police interceptor vehicles. You could change it yourself though according to what was available in the aftermarket.

That mandate was finally lifted after lots of complaining I believe in the late 80s, and definitely by 1990. My 90 Mustang GT came brand new from the factory with a 140 mph speedo. And it used it all! Only once though. shhhhhhh!! :-)

  • @RFreigeldorff i know right?? wtf chevy its a fuckin vette come on

  • @RFreigeldorff Federal law in the US in the 80s was that speedos ended at 85.

  • @RFreigeldorff Fun fact: I have an 84 vette with an lcd speedo and the graphic stops at 85 but the actual number goes beyond. I read somewhere that it was their way of getting around the restriction.

  • @OCNRob wow ofcorse

  • @RFreigeldorff restriction passed by the good ol us goverment

  • クロスファイヤーのエンジンなのに早いですね
