I do these all the time, except I fold the fabric or ribbon outwards (so the petals fold outward like a real rose) and I gather the excess and twist it on the bottom so none of the petals line up together, the sew the bottom. (twisting the base with the excess will twist all the petals. I cut the point off to make it flat. I can't stand equality with my roses! They have to look like they were cut from the wild.

I don't know how good the quality of my camera video would be either.
@StellaLilly No I get it! My husband was worried, but I told him that all the people I'm in contact with are pretty normal and I'm just doin' my hair, its not like I'm getting naked or something! LOL But yea you should heed your Dad's rules until you get older and/or move away. But you can always start a blog or something where you write or just take pictures of your hands or the back of your head! I've seen a few women post videos that way and they're just as cool!

@MsVictorygirl The headband is just a piece of stretch elastic that I bought in a craft store, but you know you could probably just go in a walmart or cvs and get those goody hair band elastics, since they're already measured right for a head and stretchy too!
