  • This is definitely one of the best craft videos I've seen on youtube :D I've made so many of these. They make really good christmas presents ^-^

Oh, and I'm following you on tumblr now :)

  • @TarawrasaurusRex I'll friend you back on tumblr!

I am SO glad you're enjoying the flowers, I love it too, you should see my coffee table, I've got tons of scraps all over it from making them! LOL

  • @LaDollyVita33 hahahaha my bedroom floor probably isn't much better xD it's fabric scrap mania lol

  • you should get a ask box on tumblr :) also i made a hair tumblr blog, this is it if you want to check it out thebraidybunch.tumblr.com

  • @annaw98 I don't know how to get an ask box! :( But I will definitely add you on tumblr!

  • @LaDollyVita33 thankyou so much for following me! i was actually so excited you have no idea :) and to get an ask box go to your dashboard, click on your blog name at the top of the screen, and then click settings on the side, and then scroll down to where it says ask and then tick the box! (just remember to save at the bottom:P) hope this helped!

  • @annaw98 I did it! Thank you so much! Are you goos with tumblr? I can't speak html and I really have no idea how to set some of this stuff up! LOL

  • @LaDollyVita33

well done! im still learning, i managed to make a very basic theme, but im not very good because im only 13 and havent really done any computer stuff at school :)

  • Yay! Crafty stuff!

  • @ladykatedesigns I know! Its my favorite too!

  • Pretty :)

  • @lushbylaura Thank you Laura!

  • I do that kind of videos :-) trying not to show my face

  • @minimalala Maybe you can give Katie some pointers on how to record videos like that!

  • Thank you great idea!!

  • @minimalala You are so welcome!

  • I love making these as the centers of my big Texas-sized bows =)

  • @weylinsmom Oh cool! I LOVE those Texas bows! They're crazy fun!

  • Can you add the link to video she did for you? :)

  • @lavendertwilight08 Do you mean the one Torrin made? Its on her channel and the title is "The Siobhan" :)

  • Oooh, I'll try that next time I'm going to throw away my clothes. Thanks!

  • @tinti1984 Oh good idea! I have a couple cute things that are too small and you just gave me a great idea! Before that I was using material I'd bought from a craft store!

  • these are so cuteee! my tumblr is fallinglion.tumblr.com, i'm following you :)

  • @joycapulet Oh thank you for friending me! I'll find you too!

  • Very cute my girls will love making these, so easy! I was going to ask how long your strips of fabric but I can see that question has already been answered. Could you do these flowers with ribbon?

  • @burnkitty82 I know! I can't believe I forgot to mention it! I'll have to add an annotation. There were roughly about a foot long.

  • One day I shall get a tumblr. Today is not that day. However, this makes yet another tumblr that is pushing for me to get one.

  • @Stormandfire You should totally check it out! It's super cool, because its similar to twitter in the sense that its so fast and there is so much information - but its all pictures, video and text. I love it.

  • So very cute, and I'm glad you uploaded this! I think I'm going to make some out of some silver and black ribbons I have for the coming holiday.

Following you on Tumblr, with the same username I have here. :)

  • @silvertales I found you on tumblr! :) And I'm glad you liked the vid! Ribbon seems like it could be really awesome too!

  • Very cute! I love how they look on the headband. Nice job.

  • @LoriHulstine Thank you! But I bet they aren't nearly as cool as some of the stuff you make!

  • very cute!!!!!!!!!

  • @missartist123 Thank you!!! :)

  • Very pretty. i have a lot of scrap fabric so this will be a good use for it. Thanks! <3

  • @pinkblackwitch Oh cool! I was using scraps too and you're right, its an awesome way to make use of them!

  • I do these all the time, except I fold the fabric or ribbon outwards (so the petals fold outward like a real rose) and I gather the excess and twist it on the bottom so none of the petals line up together, the sew the bottom. (twisting the base with the excess will twist all the petals. I cut the point off to make it flat. I can't stand equality with my roses! They have to look like they were cut from the wild.

  • @StellaLilly Oh wow! You seem to do a lot of crafting and hairstyling yourself! You should totally start a youtube channel and show us some of your great tricks!

  • @LaDollyVita33 HA ha ha ha, if only I were allowed. I'm allowed to post videos on Zena, nature, but none that show my face or my house because ye old security dude (i.e. DAD) is paranoid about sexual predators. I think he's too paranoid.

I don't know how good the quality of my camera video would be either.

  • @StellaLilly No I get it! My husband was worried, but I told him that all the people I'm in contact with are pretty normal and I'm just doin' my hair, its not like I'm getting naked or something! LOL But yea you should heed your Dad's rules until you get older and/or move away. But you can always start a blog or something where you write or just take pictures of your hands or the back of your head! I've seen a few women post videos that way and they're just as cool!

  • @LaDollyVita33 I got a tumblr (as you saw) so maybe I'll figure out how to do things on there.

I watch a few hair gurus do that too and I think they're neat! More mystery!

  • Yeah Yeah Yeah!!! So glad u finally made a tut for these. Will be making some for Leanna to wear for her Christmas Program. keep it up girl!

  • @slht1977 Knew you'd like it! I think Leanna will have no problem making these and you don't even need a needle and thread or scissors so its safer then the last diy I did! :)

  • I love them, they are so cute!!!

I'm gonna start looking for strips =)

When I was little I used to do something very similar to this with another material, I don't know the translation for that word, it is like a ribbon but it is not a ribbon that we use in my country to decorate presents.

Thank you so much for this tutorial ^-^

  • @viloy101 I know exactly what you are talking about and that seems like a great idea! I'll have to try it myself!

  • That is so pretty thanks for showing us!

By the way, do you spell your name with the fada (Siobhán) or without? :)

  • @lolarosecola I'm without the fada, although my mother-in-law, who's from Cork, as is my hubbie, well she from time to time uses the fada, and she's also spelled it "Siobhain." I never knew there was another "i."

  • really pretty, and the hairstyle you have in the video is so elegant. I'm going to try this one. What did you use for the headband part? Thanks!

  • @MsVictorygirl The headband is just a piece of stretch elastic that I bought in a craft store, but you know you could probably just go in a walmart or cvs and get those goody hair band elastics, since they're already measured right for a head and stretchy too!

  • YAY! Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have so many funky cool scrap fabric from other projects, and I hate to waste them. Thee are awesome!

  • @lerchskat Oh cool! I have a bunch of that sort of stuff too and I always feel bad throwing ANYTHING out! I swear, I'm a pack rat! I'm glad you liked the idea! Happy Crafting girl!

  • Awesome. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I know these will look so adorable on my 18 month old cutie!

  • @tmiller344 AWWW! They'll look so cute on a baby! Enjoy! :)

  • I super love this! How long was the strip you used? Thanks for this tutorial!

  • @tmiller344 I think it was about 12 inches long, although I know a few were more or less. I can't believe I forgot to mention that! :)

  • @LaDollyVita33 Thank you for posting this. I definitely will use these instructions to improve on some of my hair accessories.

  • @startobe22 I'm glad you liked it, as always, and have fun! I love making these while watching a good movie in my pjs! :)

  • @LaDollyVita33 I love it as I love all of your videos. I most definitely will make these with some scrap fabric that my mom has.
