  • Love the yelling of Gimli! RRHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!

  • I would've followed you my Brother, my Captain, My King.

    I hate this part. :(

  • Man, Legolas just mows down Uruk-Hai orcs with his bow and arrows!

  • If only Boromir had his shield...

  • @abcdefg123456333 He was showing Aragorn that he was not afraid of pain or death

  • i now know why boromir was gondors champion in the books even lugdush says ''the mighty warrior was slain by many uruk-hai in the books he didnt die by arrows he was cut down by multiple Uruk-Hai and they were at least 3 dozen dead Uruk-Hai around him as descripted in the books boromir was a utter complete boss

  • when Aragorn goes over to Boromir after he kills lurtz,he walks past a dead guy,and the dead guy lifts his head to see if Aragorn is gonna step on him,it's hilarious

  • Pippin said to Denethor, not to Boromir. and Boromir killed Uruk-Hai and not orcs ;)

  • I must have been 12 or so when this came out, and the Horn blasting on surround sound at my local odeon was epic! its still so vivid on my memory!

  • most epic run 2:30 Boromir

  • Sean Bean is awesome, but in every part he plays, he always dies. LOTR, GOT Goldeneye.. Is there any movie where he makes it out alive?

  • @agetube83 Troy :)

  • Must people bitch about EVERY detail not being present from the books? The most important thing is the THEMES and OVERALL story is being told and done justice.

  • 0.59 legolas gets colleteral

  • Why did boromir have to die?????

  • @Emanusmell

The novel doesn't mention the fight. I know Boromir was much more beastly in the fight during the novel, but you didn't get to see the fight. Sean Bean's portrayal of Boromir during the fight does it great justice I think.

  • "Hey! You! Over here!"

    ":D Its working!"

    "I know its working! RUN!

  • dude i hate how sam doesn't fight once in the whole battle. He just yells "MR FRODO!" a million times hoping for an answer.....

  • y did they not have the full version in the movie so much better

  • 2:30 no horn of Gondor

    2:34 horn of gondor.xD

  • I love how Boromir runs with his sword out at 2:30 and then its suddenly sheated. Dese cutz mayne.

  • some uruks sound like sheep

  • I love how Aragorn walks out, looks around and goes. 1 vs. a few hundred.

All i got is a sword and a dagger

    COME AT ME BROS!

  • watch closely at 6:22. aragorn first loses grip of his sword, then magically gets it back when lurtz throws the shield...

  • @drescnihn well spotted

  • @drescnihn haha shit ur right...fim editor gettin a decrease in pay i think

  • @drescnihn Also look at 0:55 its takes Aragorn less than a second to get back on his feet...

  • I love how the guys that Aragorn hit when he jumps don't get up again. They keep saying that Uruks are strong but in the movie they made them look ridiculously weak, except for the berserkers at Helm's Deep that kill several guys with one swing.

  • @Kekkiki this is also the first time these particular Uruks have fought anything

  • 4:13 So d@mned cowardly... Boromir was already outnumbered...

    Uruks deserved to get slaughtered...

  • Dammit, Boromir, you shouldn't have left YOUR FUCKING SHIELD!

  • There is a lesson to be learned by the forces of Saruman and Sauron...do not fuck with the Fellowship

  • @Sevv9220

The Fellowship failed you idiot, read the novels

  • @oatleyaintshire I did. Your mom's a prostitute

  • @Sevv9220 lowl i love youtube

  • @Sevv9220

    I KILL YOU FOOL!

  • Why didn't Games Workshop release a Uruk Hai scout minature with the huge axe?

  • How does the horn get cut in two? I never see that.

  • @Deathraker88 the fourth arrow

  • sean bean was perfect to be boromir!

  • reading the book right now paGE 65 STILL NOT LEFT THE SHIRE LOL

  • @MrZiggy20 I just did the same! I think lurtz would have been leader of the Uruk forces at helms deep or he would've came back to saruman with merry and pippin and then sent back again to search for the real ring bearer and merry and pippen would've been killed :O... Boromir would have probably felt terribly guilty about the issue with frodo and would've accompanied aragorn, legolas and gimli to track the uruks across Rohan.

  • @majormcjansen Definally not.. Aragorn legolas and gimli chased merry and pippin because Frodo had already had left. They would had all gone to mordor still..

  • I just like to think sometimes how different would the trilogy if Boromir and or Lurtz survived.

  • this makes me want to watch the lord of the rings now!

  • 4:40 Lurtz "Stay down, bitch!"

  • if boromir would have had his shield...he would have survived... :(((

  • Somewhere, there's an even MORE extended version:

    "Aragorn, go!"

"Well, I'd love to, Legolas, but there are still a dozen of these big orcs in the way!"

  • 2:22

  • 6:49 wasn't even scripted, he was supposed to throw the blade somewhere else, but he let go too late and headed towards viggo, and viggo being the badass that he is, blocked it.

  • @dicekpapi18 really? where did you hear about that?

  • and its 2:34

  • lurtz is so stupid pulling the sword further in to his stomach

  • @abcdefg123456333 What did you expect hes a Uruk'Hai.

  • @abcdefg123456333 IT"S JUST A FLESH WOUND!!!

  • Why do we never see the Horn of Gondor get cut in half? It just suddenly splits in two without any explanation...

And don't tell me the third arrow did it, there's no way that arrow would make such a clean split.

  • The part where Aragorn deflects the dagger was not intended, the guy playing Lurtz couldn't see well through the mask and it went to Viggo instead of a nearby tree. Pete Jackson kept it in as it was more realistic and was a genuine life or death situation.

  • Lurtz uses autotune 0:39

  • Lurtz evidently doesn't know anything about critical hits lol

  • EPIC ARROW EYE STAB FTW!

  • still my favorite battle in the series

  • The sound of Legolas' bow is giving me an orgasm. I'm serious.

  • Please any any any. How does Orlando Bloom aka Legolas reload his arrows so mother fucking quick!?! Example at 2:43 when he like freakin kills them all so quick in a row! Because I've seen an arrow, and on the top of it theres a gap, so you can line it up in the gap with the bows string. Is it a special efftect or just months of practise? I hope you understand. Thanks :)

  • @DavidAProduction well in the movie, he is an elf, and elves can do that, as far as real life is concerned, he is not actaully reloading the bow, he just acts like he is taking an arrow and pulls back on the bow string, the arrows and sound effects are added later. its weird, but he is just pulling on the bow without an arrow.

  • @guyinyourattic Wow damn it looks so real though. Thanks for the answer man. Since I was a kid watching this, it was allways a big question for me that legolas did it for real or not. But thanks man now I know it :)

  • 3:11 - Gay Uruk on the stairs

  • @Vvardenfell430 I never noticed that ^^

  • lol when legolas stabs the uruk hai in the eye

  • @Emanusmell That is true, but he still does a great job of making it a heroic death in the movie. The incredible music really helps the scene too.

  • @Emanusmell Tolkien never says a dozen or more arrows, nor a wall of dead orcs, Tolkien says pierced with many arrows and piles of dead orcs around him, which is pretty much exactly what you see here

  • @Emanusmell Yeah...but it's Lurtz.

  • @Emanusmell in reality, if he was surrounded by a wall of orcs it would of been a bad fight scene, with orcs stood still while boromir killed others. a good decision to change it

  • @Emanusmell True, I also wished Jackson gave him a few more arrows. But I think he really did this scene well especially considering that, in the book, there is really no description of what happens before his death. Jackson uses his creativity to shows his heroism in his final moments.

  • The horn of Gondor has cried loud and strong

  • any1 else hear a sheep at 0:12?

  • @aznboy323 YES!

  • @aznboy323 ya lol

  • Boromir...the best character in LOTR.

    Thumbs up if you agree!

  • A true! lurc is a woman urukhai

  • Boromir is such a fucking badass. I love this scene, it is incredible.

  • u no i think the uruk hais are weaker than u think

i mean at 0:47 2 die by Aragorn falling on them

and 3:49 to 4:04 they die by rocks thrown at then

by the way wut dose Aragorn say at 0:47?

  • @tko930 elendil

  • @tko930 Elendil!! yeah I hat how they are killed by a couple of stones when they are wearing armour.

  • @superFrontrunner who knows maybe their just weak because their just prototypes or failed experiments

thx 4 telling me the word BTW

  • Swear the uruk hai at 2:49 goes down before Legolas even fires

  • man you know wath i think lurts is a gay and i would have liked to see boromir defending minas tirith dam lurts you have to kill him with three arrows

  • ooooooooooo nut kick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ooooooooooooooooooo another nut kick !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damn do uruk-hai feel no pain?i mean lurtz pulled that fucking sword through him just to eat aragorn's face off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oooh nut kick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How did Boromir's horn break?

It was fine at 5:12 but broken at 5:20

    Am I missing something here?

  • if i was to live in the world of middle earth it would be here. at the falls of rauros amon hen. and how many uruks do you know that walk down every damn steps look at 3:10 i hate them uruks

  • Noob Uruk's @ 2:44 to 2:51. Who the hell brought them to the battle?

  • at 1:00 legolas recycles

  • The numenorians (Aragorn and Boromir) are so strong, I really respect them.

  • 2:44 Mass destruction by Legolas :D

  • if that uruk hai with the axe killed merry and pipin, he'd be in for a roasting off sauron lol, was told to bring them back alive :P

  • @imperialguard88 i think a battle cry

  • Loooove Gimli's action at 2:11 and 2:16!!!!! :D

  • believe or not Lurtz actor is 6'7. Peter jackson, kiwi director. NZ PRIDE!!!

  • omg it 's like ultimate man hunt with body guards that would go to the end othe earths for you. GO FRODO!!

  • Lord of the rings is the best trilogy in world. Who agrees?

  • @MsAt0m1 other than star wars but i also agree

  • @MsAt0m1

Though it should be said that Godfather is a very close second (it only faltered with the third film)

  • @MsAt0m1 Second to none

  • Dear God 2:44 - 2:52 Legolas is just dropping them one after another! I love these movies so much, this is one of my favorite battle scenes in any film. I cried when Boromir died :(

  • @aragax then you should change your name to aragaY don't you think?

  • @Koeliebalie glad you think so. Anyway, this scene is awesome.

  • This a great scene. Where a brave few stand against many and gain great renown!!!!

  • Aragorn as he first confronts the Uruk-Hai: "I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn. I am the heir to the throne of Gondor. In the name of the free peoples of Middle-Earth, you will NOT touch that hobbit!"

  • For the longest time this scene where Boromir dies brought tears to my eyes. What a great end for a character.

  • I love the extended uncut version of LoTR... it shows Boromir in such a different way than the regular. He was one of the more powerful and noble people of his time, but the ring corrupts humans the fastest.... and its power is far greater than his.

  • in the nuts ouch 0.35

  • Aragorn clearly uses Old Spice, whilst Lurtz is obviously using lady scented body wash

  • Boromir had a whole bunch of wenches queef on his sword which is why he is so powerful you nerds. Tolkien even wrote about it in Star Wars. Morons.

  • I love this scene, but the Urukhai are so stupid, they fight one at a time instead of just overwhelming them

  • @fretode Ya it may seem like that but their priority was finding the ring-bearer. They already tried swarming Aragorn in the beginning but once Legolas and Gimli showed up I'm sure they were like fuck this lol. Legolas was knocking them down shot after shot and Gimli was just acting like a fucking tank.

  • @TOCR815 Gimli is the f**king Juggernaut. : )

  • Well there arent many people that get it by 3 arrows and keep fighting...Boromir and Frodo were the true heros of middle-earth

  • @csbamskater you forgot sam he saved frodo's ass from shelob

  • 2:12 Gimli: I got your back baby! WHACK!

  • Too bad Boromir didn't have his shield:(

  • aj löve dis

  • 2:50 made me lol

  • Aragorn's neck is so uber

  • Boromir is a badass. And dies as a true hero!

  • @ 2:08

Legolas is really epic with his blades ;D

  • Aragorn should have killed Lurtz @ 6:17 ...Instead of playing American Football ;D

  • @jonapenguin well, if he killed Lurtz then and there, Lurtz's arms would've relaxed and, letting go of the arrow, shoot Boromir in the head.

  • haha look at 0:59 legolas shot the first and the 2nd crashed on him

    1 arrow = 2kills

  • Frodo! here, c'mon! wtf! you are talking to MR. Frodo, yes?!! but merry and pippin, cool how they get the uruks away, and really the part with the uruk with 2h axe:)

nice quote: it's working! course its working run' ofcourse it doesnt work, you fools! they are only running behind you! but then we got the heroic death of boromir..*cry*:(

thats a reason to hate Lurtz, you fools! this scene makes me hate uruks!

  • LOL at that first Uruk who thought he could take Aragorn out no problem.. dude you're messing with the heir or Elendil! ;D

  • Comment removed

  • 11:13 funny sound

  • this is the most badass battle sequence in the history of cinema.

  • uruk-hai with the axe at 2:29 is a dumbass...what part of bring the halflings alive and unspoiled did he not understand

  • @zvonimir89 I know! That's something I've been wondering since the first time I saw this movie.

  • @zvonimir89 Maybe he doesn't speak english...... lol

  • @zvonimir89 I guess he rides the short er... horse to uruk hai school. lol

  • @zvonimir89 I think he is an underpaid Temp... =\

  • @zvonimir89 you have a firm grasp of the obvious...of course he's a dumbass,he's a FUCKING ORC...dumbass lol

  • @zvonimir89 He got fucked up anyway :P

  • He died a Hero. And everyone knows that if he had his goddamn shield he would have gotten back up!

  • Every time I see this part and Boromir keeping on fighting till he has got 3 arrows in his chest makes me cry...

  • @pppeeeppplll It actually says so in the book, that it was the witch king who shot him, and therefore the poison is almoust incurable :P

  • And to think, both brothers might have survived if Faramir went to Rivendell instead...

  • @BlackNazgul001 How so? Wouldn't Faramir have gotten into a similar situation had Boromir not gone to Rivendell?

  • dä aragorn und dä boromir sind di geilschte

  • Borimir shows bravery few others have. For that I highly respect him. He was a good man. RIP Borimir.

  • @LoTRfan1616 Wow...this might be an old comment but...wow.

  • @LoTRfan1616 In the extended edition, it actually outlines him as a good man before the ring took him over. Instead of him looking like a complete ass in the regular edition. Regaurdless--Gimli is more badass than anyone in the movie.

  • @LoTRfan1616 Certainly better in the movie than in the book. In the book it was like, "Here is Aragorn, king of men! And here's...this guy."

  • @LoTRfan1616 Merry shows bravery by stabbing the witch king in the leg Aragon shows Bravery by going into the army of the deads cave same with legolas and gimil legolas shows more barvery by climbing on a mumakil Frodo shows bravery going into shelobs lair and so does sam pippin shows bravery by looking into the planitir after gandalf told him not to gandalf shows bravery taking on balrog boromir shows barvery by fighting until he cant faramir shows bravary by leading a few men to a orc city

  • @LoTRfan1616

don't know how factual it is, but we are talking about the guy who single handingly took back osgiliath from the enemy.

highly skilled but not as strong willed like his 'fuck up of a brother (according to denethear)'

  • @chetdog Yeah, the only reason that they were able to take back Osgiliath was because Sauron was only testing their strength. But he was a man of great renown and prowess, Known far and wide for his it.

  • @DrEinstein100

you cited that from the book

  • @LoTRfan1616 Borimir, what about Aaragon!

  • @LoTRfan1616 yes, he even said that one cant simply walk into mordor. most wise advice

  • Galadriel warned Boromir to not blow the horn of Gondor until he was back in minas tirith.

  • Boromir could have never went to amen hen but his dad forced him to go to rivendal and be part of the Fellowship (which he was not invited to.) Boromir went because he wanted to protect his people and his kingdom.

  • @Spyro1345 No his dad (Denethor) did NOT force him to go to Rivendell. Once again PJ is the one to blame.

Therefore my brother, seeing how desperate was our need, was eager to heed the dream

and seek for Imladris; but since the way was full of doubt and danger, I

took the journey upon myself. Loth was my father to give me leave, and long

have I wandered by roads forgotten, seeking the house of Elrond, of which

many had heard, but few knew where it lay.' Council of Elrond.

  • Thats because PJ totaly made Denethor look like a worse character than he was.

  • see if he remembered to bring his shield he have pwn all of the uraki

  • LOTR= Epic, Great, Awesome, Brilliant...

and one of the best dead ever...:D

  • 0:49 cannonball "elendil!" wuahah xD

  • horn of gondor boromir

  • 7:04....... lets see you walk that off bitch....

  • In the beginning, Aragorn sounds like Jack Bauer. When he says "run...RUN!"

  • "it's working!" "i know it's working, run!"

  • i love horn of gondor and boromir with aragorn

  • I love the death of Lurtz <3

  • At 0:49 aragorn shouts elendil who was the high king of gondor in the fellowship of the ring

  • Elendil was king and got killed in the first war of the ring. He was killed by Sauron. Isildur, his son, picks up the sword, it gets broken, Sauron gets killed, Isildur takes the ring... blah blah.. all that jazz. Elendil and Gil-galad were buddy buddy. But yeah.. giving you guys too much information now, huh?

  • not at all :p

  • 3:33 the best kill in the first movie...

  • you're right, it has a certain coup de grace effect..
