I mean, most parents do not stop. My mama stopped when I was 17, even though it was not on a regular basis ( and not with a belt). But dragging a child on the floor like that is really humiliating for the child. Children remember those moments and parents should be careful.

My parents used to hit me with the belt and clotheshangers, and I turned out fine-a lot better then if they hadn't disiplined me physically-if a kid is going to be a brat (especially in public), that is what they get-not a lecture and a lollipop as an apology for having to lecture them
