LOL That's funny. George is so incredibly superior to Johnny it's actually laughable that people are preferring Johnny's singing. I LOVE Johnny Depp, don't get me wrong, but George's singing voice is just better period. It's just amazing how much America/The World place on looks.

If you know anything about the character Sweeny Todd, you would know that he was a young man when he was set up and sent to jail. his Child was a couple months old, if that old, when it all happened. When he comes back she's in her late teens, early twenty's. So that would put Sweeny Todd in his early forties. Just around the same age Johnny Depp is.

I just don't expect that Depp is going to be Sweeny, he isn't nearly old enough to do it. I guess he is though. Tim Burton will make this amazing musical a lovely and dark drag, He has no concept of pacing. I am sure the singing will be subpar for this AMerican opera as well. Too bad. Lansbury and Cariou did this piece greater justice...
