this is still the best version I have heard....her voice has the dramatic quality needed for this role (althought Edder Moser is the best from this point of view) but it is never pushed and her top notes are perfect and sound like bells.

i looked this aria in the ares and i downloaded one that says: maria callas but im sure that is the voice of lucia popp, i have just hear this and its the same that i have in my cellphone, maria callas doesnt sing that right? anyway i have compared the sopranos and i think lucia popp performed it better, she is great!

Musically, the best Queen ever. These cristal notes are to die for. I don't think I have ever heard such perfect accuracy of pitch on each and every note. I mean, she's right «in the center of the bubble» every time. And the control! What beautiful voice.

The clarity and perfection of all her top notes is quite astounding. I've always thought she was vocally by far the best Queen of the Night. However, the wonderfully dramatic version by Diana Damrau is also superb and quite terrifying!
