  • COOL! And she's cute!

  • can the motor be used to move lets say 300lbs forward

  • @blueraiders3

This design is pretty weak, but I don't think it's possible to pull 300lbs with ANY electric motor using available, commercial technology.

  • Um u can do somthin with a dc motor , just like give it more power , make it bigger , use a car battery and make a electric scooter etc, maybe not enough power for scooter but somthing like rc car ...

  • u have used normal wire not coil. thats nice iv made some motor with 3 volts and also like yours with thin wire.

    youtube.com/watch?v=e2CRGTdRyUw

  • can i used simple magnet not neodymium?

  • @senjeki

as i remember for normal thin wire neodymium is better.

with coil normal magnet can be used.

  • That is gonna waste the battery very fast. Its like short circuiting. In commercial motors the wire used for winding is very long and thus the winding has considerable resistance.

  • what possible uses?

  • @joesethy83 IF you dont count fun, None

  • How do you use this motor for something like a robot?

cause im wanting to build one :)

  • nice short clear video! :)

  • I WAS thinking of doing this for my project.....but what are its possible uses?i mean, would it run something or its merely to study the relationship of magnetism and electricity..

  • i'm thinking of doing this for my project...but what are its possible uses?

i mean what can i do with it if it actually works?

  • The theory is that a current passing through a wire will generate a magnetic field, and will repel the wire from the permanent magnet (opposites attract, similar poles repel).

If it's not working, try turning the magnet around or reversing the current

  • @Stridernub would this thing run something...what can i use this for?

  • thanks i will try it

  • what is the theory behind this?

  • @thomassing1

Theorie of Lorentz, you can find the force with the lefthandrule.

  • This doesn't work at all. I have my battery, wire, the magnets and it doesn't work and i have my Science fair proyect for this Tuesday. If it works i dont now what i am doing wrong.

  • what can you possibly do with this DC motor?

  • @deathimmortal absolutely nothing but i guess it is something they would do in a science class

  • @deathimmortal ----'Tis by DC motor by which our fan works dude....

  • great idea

  • it does btw,

  • This doesn't work. I bought all the stuff for nothing. Oh well.

  • @jfsimard79 lollollollolololololollololloloolololoololololoolol! it does work!

  • even mw ??? i tried soo hard !
