I really don't think that you can debate Dawkins at all, as you would not understand the terms and usages without him having to explain to you from scratch, as Thunderfoot was doing when he explained to you experiments and others.

A couple points: 1 The universe is the totality of what exists or could exist: Quantum physics admits the possibility of an infinity of 'universes' (other systems of existence)
2 If existence (in the absolute sense) is logically necessary, then 'god' is irrelevant, unnecessary
You're also forgetting the fact that God only exists on Earth relative to the existence of humanity. If there is no observable empirical proof of God here on Earth and he only exists in our brain then he dies with us if we become extinct. It is not up to Richard Dawkins to prove there is no God, it's up to the believer to prove there is one. He just does not believe without evidence. Measurements are also now indicating that all the matter and energy that exists is balanced by gravity, anti-matter, and other forms of negative energy. As for the "scientific impossibility", there are 2 types of nothing, "absolute nothing" which is a theory that hasn't been made or found in nature, and "nothing" which consists of energy and protons (in no short supply), and energy can be turned into matter (E = mc^2). So it was made from "nothing" but not the "nothing" you were referring to.

@Viewer353 Although I agree with you "scientifically" it is not possible to get something from nothing as that would violate the law of conservation of energy (Energy is neither created nor destroyed.) Also, Thermodynamics only come into play inside a "closed system" Where there are no outside forces in which to act upon the 3 and 0th laws of Thermodynamics. Getting something from nothing is inherently impossible and violates the laws we ourselves know to exist. Therein lies a paradox.

This idiot has no clue about agriculture and the history of how the banana came to be in its modern form. If it wasn't for artificial selection and variations in ancestral species of bananas and the fact that modern bananas changed from what they were a few thousand years ago because humans were inadvertently selecting for the modern form the banana would not have its present modern shape. Neither would any of our modern crops had they not CHANGED over time.

Did not create the video for humor, he only started using the routine for humor after he realized how incredibly damaging the truth was to his argument. Now he does it as a routine. Just because someone mocks banana man after you doesn't mean they're copying, he probably hasn't even heard of you, and he would destroy you in a debate. As for the "scientific impossibility", there are 2 types of nothing, "absolute nothing" which is a theory that hasn't been made or found in nature, and "nothing" which consists of energy and protons (in no short supply), and energy can be turned into matter (E = mc^2). So it was made from "nothing" but not the "nothing" you were referring to.

Richard Dawkins doesn't say that nothing created everything and Big Bang Theory doesn't say this either......and if Ray Comfort had bothered to look it up he might appear better informed when he mocks it.

Dawkins has better things to do then argue with the "Banana Man" .
Its Scientifically possible to get something from nothing
try looking into Quantum Mechanics or Thermodynamics.
Maybe use your own arguments instead of the theist crap
somebody told you as a kid. There is no God, if you want
a faith based proof I suggest you climb the nearest mountain
and don't come back till you hear from him.

@Viewer353 Although I agree with you "scientifically" it is not possible to get something from nothing as that would violate the law of conservation of energy (Energy is neither created nor destroyed.) Also, Thermodynamics only come into play inside a "closed system" Where there are no outside forces in which to act upon the 3 and 0th laws of Thermodynamics. Getting something from nothing is inherently impossible and violates the laws we ourselves know to exist. Therein lies a paradox.

Atheists are expected to be experts in many fields of science to be able to explain things such as the origins of life, the complexity of life, origin of the universe, ect...
Theists just have to say "god did it" when they are asked the exact same questions
It's absurd to think that such a debate is fair in any way, but oh well, atheists seem to keep on winning anyway :p

Most scientists are Atheist, and small number Deist. Which is why most Atheist are expert, but expert in their respective fields.
As for regular Atheist, they tend to rely on evidence rather than revelation.

Except that the bananas we eat have been selectively bred by generations of humans to be most useful to humans. Wild bananas have widely varying shapes and colors, are difficult to peel, and some varieties cannot be eaten raw. Indeed, this kind of artificial selection is a great example of how an external force can alter an organism.

I made the mistake of reading the bible once. Boring, violent, and does not make much sense. But alas there are a bunch of other religions that have similar tendencies but when looking at them... are they all right or all wrong. As an Atheist I think all wrong. I have an imagination. I can see what an imagination can create.. these books are fiction. There are parts of all of the religions that are positive. But looking at the cooks that swear by it. Its a tool to control the masses

@thewayofthemaster A parent might let a child go through a bad situation to test them and let them grow from it. But if someone was about to push the child off of a cliff, the parent wouldn't let a test kill them or cause serious harm. The child can't afford patience here.
If God has the power to end evil right now, is it malevolent to let tests go as far as maiming or death, since genesis, even to unborn babies who could not have possibly sinned? Could God be toying with, not testing, us?

I love creationist, They have NO understanding of how science works or why it works. The Banana was modified by humans over thousons of years. Evaluation has nothing to do with the origins of life, that is abiogenises. Oh and yes we are relatied to bananas in that we come from a commen ansester. We are related to all living thing and all you would need to do is look at the DNA evidence. Another reason I don't care for ID is its not a science & the ppl propsing it do not understand Science.
