  • The thought of pendle hill scares me !!

  • You can buy the swift II from aeroshack in the uk.

  • hey thats awesome,, i want to get into rc flying too, cause every summer me and my family go to austria,, they have great slopes there, but i live in holland so i want to get a flying wing w/ prop cause hollands kinda flat.

and can i ask you whats the song before ''somewhere only we know'' starts?

    thanks.!

  • hi, the swift II that is in the film (the one with 2 fins is supposed to have a motor on the back but we just dont put it on so we can slope soar with them :) the song i think is razorlight but i can't remember to be honest, someone else who watches this might be able to help.

  • @jasper903 First, check out if there's a flying club near you, those guys will be very happy to show the hobby.

I'm also Dutch, so if you wanna know something, pm me. Groeten!

  • What battery do you use with the mini swift? aaa nicad?

  • Hi, i use a smaller pack for the mini swift it is 4 smaller batteries than AAA, i use 4xAAA ni-mh as they dont have the "memory" effect in my swift II but in the maxi swift i use 4xAA ni-mh they all slip in nicely and i dont use anything to keep them in as the fit is so good :) just find a pack that squeezes in and get the biggest milliamp you can, a AAAx4x 800 ma lasts about 6 hours on my swift II !. I hope this helps

  • really great video mate, must be a good camera phone lol, some great flying there. 5/5 from me.

  • was my nokia n95 :)

  • I live near Pendle Hill and have always wanted to get in to r/c gliding. Do you belong to a club?

  • Hi,The guy flying that SAS WILDTHING looks like he is a Pro.Nice one

  • looks awesome guys.

I was just wondering which do you prefer? the mini or the swift II?

and how much weight do you have to add for sloping? Keep it up!

  • Hi, I preffer the swift II because it is bigger and you can go out in more conditions (less wind), it really depends on the slope and wind as to how much weight you add. on some slopes (steep) you dont need any weights because the wind is going up and not into the wing and not pushing it backwards so you dont need to penetrate as much. I have a few snippets from parlick which i will put on this week where i had no weights on in about 13-15 mph winds.

  • Ok awesome! I'm extremely new to sloping and hope to pick up a swift II sometime this summer

    Thanks

  • whoever was controlling that swift mini looked like a great pilot to me!

  • lmao, that wouldn't be someone YOU know would it?
