The meaning of life science is not to guarantee anyone to live forever, but to make sure well behaving human beings live a happy and healthy life. Anything that has a beginning will end, and eternity does not apply to life. By the way, people like gun2myhead14, despite of their rudeness and stupidity, I guess part of his response originate from his sympathy on the experiment animal, which is understandable. If you had been educated yourself, you'd realise that vivisections are not at all a prerequisite to become a good scientists - I don't know one biologist over here in Europe who has ever done vivisection on mice. Still we don't deliver more stupid scientists here than over the water or in the East.

The vivisection is probably not on purpose dude, the video description says "one group failed to kill their mouse before opening it up". It takes another 2 minutes or so after they fall asleep before they officially die. Considering these are students they were probably too excited to patiently wait for the mouse to die.

Not that i feel like i have to defend myself to someone using immature, inappropriate and violent language, but yes, i am a biology researcher. I dissected a mouse in my second year as a student, and even though i'm not much in favour of this kind of dissections nowadays, i admit that a dissection is probably more instructive than any alternatives available. As Petitetoile understood correctly, it wasn't obvious to me first that the being alive of the animal was not in purpose.
