  • i wish we had fighting styles like this around here,

all we have is 2 or 3 karate dojo's

and its all sport, or kid stuff, itd take years to learn self defence from the ones around here,

we do have a karate/jiu jitsu dojo but its all for sport,

they got all the flyers showing how many tourmaments they won,

im looking for something that will help me save my life in a mugging, not win a trofy,

  • is this slam set???

  • Josh you are one tough mo-fo... I think you can take him!

    Well done guys!

  • Man, that's an awesome defending start. Thanks for sharing.

  • sorry think i was a bit harsh, but these kinds of martial arts are ineffective because they are not practical to practice safely or with reduced risk ,unless you get little men like josh to throw punches when you ask at 0.000000001 mph

  • yeh hat looks great what a joke .yeh when he punches me am going to do this then hes going to do that then from there i will do this then he will do that plz learn boxing or bjj for your own sake

  • Realy good combinations of movements, thanks for sharing, be careful with Josh

  • great!!!!! video now i can take my brother down anytime now

  • Hi. great video any instructors you might recommend in the Chicago area?

  • i wanna see you against a trained martial artist in your weight class...then we talk ^^

  • WoW!! this is great, you never find a better instructor than this gut. Good Job 10/10!

  • That imperessed me a lot. Nice moves and tricks. But i am only 5.4" and i dont think it would work by me...tomorrow i will start a rumble in our restaurant and test it, lol...cool vid!

  • i like em cause hs warm and fuzzy :)

    jk

    great work im a fan.

  • Poor Josh

  • I liked it a lot; good instruction & flows nicely

  • the one thing i dont like is the brush grab motion sort of puts your arms over top of each other, just very briefly. someone with quick reflexes could possibly take advantage of that and have both of your arms. although, i guess thats why you would practice it so have it down smooth and quick lol. again, nice video

  • that whole brush, grab strike thing is cool, it does look a bit silat like. if you wanted a more wing chun slant on it, the 'brush' movement would be more like a tan sau, and you wouldnt need to grab or pin the arm, as you could step in as you brush, or deflect, and strike. either seems good, his has a bit more moevements to it. mr simonets vids seem to have a decent amount of techniques in them. thank you sir

  • its pentjak silat serak.. Mr Simonet was at one point a student of pak victor de thouars

  • Look at the size of his partner compared to the teacher? I wanna know what'd he do against a guy his size, and if he fought back?

  • Good job

  • LOOKS LIKE KUNG FU SAN SOO TO ME

  • Can I go away while my heart stays here? I have to go back to where my heart is.

  • hes a rag doll

  • what type of fighting is this?, please reply

  • @jacobzon1 I guess its street fighting or something

  • @jacobzon1

it´s a technicmix of jeet kun do, wing chun maybe some ju jutsu and even some other stiles.

  • Looks better without the beard.

  • wow... true master here... very endless move... love it... very creative

  • "after his head exploted on the concrete" jajaja thats a good one

  • this is crazy those teachers always use a shorter and skinner guy to show their skills!! That would be more realistic to use a huge bulky guy. Your opponent and agressor are rarely shorter than you!! It might work with your kids althought!!!

  • @fabienmichael THIS IS A VEHICLE TO LEARN

  • I'm sorry for his partner

  • the 22 dont like´s its from criminals xDD

  • u wouldnt want 2 get in a fight with that man

  • hahahahhaha man i feel sorry for that guy he gets treaded like a bitch lol

  • ive also dont understand why wing chun act like they the only one who knows or will attempt takedown.

  • wing chun will work when they stop these gay ass fake moves. your opponent is NOT slow, weak and dumb. wing chun think they can block a straight lead then grab the arms then swing the arms then chop then so on.

  • how the hell did u make these moves????

  • Kawawa naman ung mamang pinagprapraticisan.

  • dude what kind of martial art is this??? aikido?

  • hahaha is he fucking wit his assistant?

  • that counter elbow was actually very impressive and i now practice that!! Thank you for the vid it was very useful!!

  • THIS WAY!!

  • LMAO......."If that was fucking concrete, that would really hurt!"

  • i have the theory that the kid is his son in law. and has just knocked his daughter

  • at 5;27 training you can hear training partner wrist crack

  • i see modified wingchun here and there

  • poor partner damn he gets it bad lol

  • i wish he'd slow da hell down somebody tell him 2 slow down!lol

  • all of this comes from traditional karate... imagine if you add some legs and presure points. The only thing is that you can't get cought in the same drills over and over. Change attack angle and speed and try it with " non drill people" to see their changes and attacks. You are not going to fight in the street with somebody that does these drills. good stuff..... joseph is very skilled..

  • in 2 seconds he gave us a slow mo version of "brush, grab, and strike" holy crap hes fast!

  • isnt this wing chun pak, tan, larp sao?

  • poor dudes getting abused

  • haha always gr8 vids from SIfu Josephi need to practice these

  • hahahaha...everyone is an expert......

  • man u better get someone of your own size to train...

  • @nitinsaini82 Nah. It's best to get a hot little blonde who's just broken up.

  • that little guy best get paid a lot XD

  • LMAO I love this guy he's so intense LMAO!

  • lol that poor guy the big guy fucks him up lol

  • i that waz a fuckin concreat that would of really hurt!! :D

LOOL this guy makes me laugh!!

  • Same ol' same ol'. I'm not attacking the style or the instructor but come on! You are always going to look effective if you are allowed to move two or three times faster than your opponent especially if they are suffering from locking joints which prevents them retracting their arm after an attemped strike!.Time yourself throwing and retracting the same blow (but like you mean it though!), then image how unbelievebly fast he'd have to move to catch you. Not for "real" combat.

  • that one in 6:00 is sick :D

  • lol im am really gonna use the trick at 5:59

  • you fucking big bully...you hurting the little guy in purpose !

  • if that was fucking concrete that woulda really hurtt! lmao!

  • after his head explodes in the concrete..ouch!

  • Did you notice a folder knife in his right pocket?

  • at 1:55 he turns into an aggresive mother fucker

  • or come up and take him down again hahaha, i would hate to be this guy's training partner

  • i would hate to be this guy's training partner

  • just punch in the fuckin throat and the enemy is dead lol

  • how do u do that soo fast? ok can u pls reply to my comment? im 14 and im one of the those not popular kids and im afraid to get in a fight and i wanna be ready... do you know any places in middleton massachusetts that train this stuff? i wanna kick a kids ass if he comes ova to me. please reply.

  • @TheAirsoftShadows martial arts research insit.salem ma

  • @TheAirsoftShadows FAIL COMMENT!!~

  • @TheAirsoftShadows i was jsut kidding lol its called Wing Chung movement based, from wing chung inform yoruself if thers any school proximity, its worth doing a few years perhaps even black belt

  • @TheAirsoftShadows LMFAO ahahahaha

  • @TheAirsoftShadows

it aint really about kicking their ass lol,

    but just google it,

if not go with something like jujitsu,

    or boxing,

  • i felt sorry for that guy .. he gets all the freaking kicking ass .. pooo guy :(

  • I'd hate to go through 6 minutes of that shit. Props to the partner!

  • if that was FUCKING concrete that would have really hurt

  • wouldnt be happy if i met him in a dark backstreet at night ._.'

  • this guy scares me shitless..... -.-"

  • at 1:26 he gets MAD!!!

  • man this is good, just wonder if you have ever seen or heard of Kalari payattu in southern india

  • Itd probably be more realistic if he actually used someone his size...

  • that guy was his ragdoll lol 5:25 we can bring him up and the back down lol

  • 1:26 to 1:40 i was laughing so hard!!!!

  • "I... CAN'T... CHOP.. HIM!!!!"

  • loool get off the steroidszzzz

  • dude dont kill your son ^_^

  • i feel sorry for that kid, hahaha JK

  • If that was F**king concrete, that would have really hurt. Hahaha... But wow, that's really quick and intricate, but it seems like it would take a lot of time to really perfect those movements... Still really good though!

  • That turned me on LOL jks.. nice application. I swear i heard i finger in the wrist grab towards the end...

  • very interesting, thanks for the video!

  • Where is the "high intensity"? This is just rehearsed bullshit. Where is the application against a real resisting, fighting opponent? Just another partial art terd trying to sell a scam.

  • Not an equal weight category...

  • good style,simple,fast and sharp

  • i really like this - but i would like to see real life speeds as well - i wonder HOW these would actually work in real life situations. It looks like a great bunch of dvd's - but then i would need a regular training partner....and i dont think my 9 yr old daughter would be thrilled...lol.....i have her in Tae Kwon Do - but this would be a great addition to her 3 times a week training for the two of us....

  • Very nice applications and training!!

  • this guy is insane

  • i love how you keep the movements true and to the point with out being sissy

and how you sailed your son threw the air

  • @seraphimbelial616 Like it how he keeps the training the way it should be!

  • @silatk yeah exactly its intended to fuck someone up

  • he looks like the death version of kevin costner

  • Looks like that "guillotine" must hurt.

  • haha he needs someone his size to help deminstrate

  • be interesting to see this guy working as security oin a biker bar.... then i'll know this works.... big guy, little guy skeptic

  • @paulie1975 not defending this instructor and have never met him but i am 5'8" and 185lbs and have used very similar techniques on 6'3" 275lbs people and come down hard. Used them more then once in locked facilities. Safe for me and the other person.

  • what a dickhead I can't stand assholes like this..

I bet he beats his girlfriend too...

  • too much complication, never split into the enemy at the fight, akkways keep your distance, use the head to hit, no1 is ready for that, if u are allready spliting catch his hand from the off side, never from inside...

  • @butcher4711 go play xbox and shut up.

  • @HYBRIDCOMBATIVES

shut the fuck up, i could probably learn u how to fight

  • When I teach, I also like to throw around people half my size in demonstration. Always makes you look awesome.

    Even better, children.

    lol

  • If you're 6'2" and 250lbs it gets hard to find significantly bigger people to throw around for this kind of thing.

  • i want to see the little guy do that to the big guy

    screw this

  • haha i love his voice near the end...If that was FUCKING concrete...that wouldve really hurt.

  • if youre trying to do this to a guy thats bigger than you good luck, he'll escape your manipulation of his moves and punch you in your teeth

  • listen at 5:27 u can hear something snap haha

  • GO die in a whole you bastard

  • @PopShotProdigy in a whole what?

  • this is the best video i have ever seen-we want more!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Overall way too complicated in a real situation for the average person is not training these techniques with a partner all the time. also 3:50 to 3:51 is impossible if the other guy is as strong or stronger i.e. moving the other guys grab/ arm enough to block the next attck, that is rediculous.

  • yah, most of these moves have to be done, by people with really good reflexes and great body mechanis, as well as leverage and momentum controll. Best advice is learn how t strike, block, and defend grapples, and of course if u can escape. Run away

  • hmm watch at 5:56 he blocks the kneestrike with his chin :)

  • this guy is scary man!

  • thats wing chun technique

  • damn this guy is fast im really impressed

  • seems like modern selfdefense with aikido/jiujiutsu influence

  • awesome moves

  • There are amazing pointers in this video, simple chi sao techniques in play ,because wing chun is all about emptiness, and readiness. sure josh is in trouble, because this is a big guy, but josh just as easily could turn the tables...

Wing chun is not about strength, just watch his drills and sparring with Dianna Inosanto, It's about fluidity and purpous of movement. You touch your opponent,

What do you do with this? What now?

  • you remind me of an older version of frank mir. Fuckin Badass video btw!

  • i feel sorry 4 dat guy geddin ragdolld hahaha

  • 12 gauge. Bean bags for the first two. Then 00 buck then slugs. At a safe distance of course. If that fails, this guys gonna kick yer ass big time. : ) Love his approach to keeping it real in the personal format.

  • His shirt says 'mobile, agile, hostile'. What kind of person would walk around the streets wearing that? That says it all.

  • This guys strikes me as the most unstable, psychopathic nut case with real anger management problems.

  • i haven't seen one comment relative to martial arts, as far as strength is concerned i've seen little guys (martial artists) mangle huge surly bastards with no problem and minimal physical exertion, that last throw can be done by a 90 pound preteen girl with proper instruction. i'm a tiny dude but jkd and ryu kyu kenpo are painfully effective for someone my size, not to mention thai boxing.. you think those little fuckers spend time pumping iron?? strength training hinders flexibility anyway..

  • Cynic, I respectfully disagree with your ststement "strength training hinders flexibility". That's true only if the strength trainer doesn't address flexibility (by mindful stretching) or uses such shitty form that his joints are trashed (I've seen this a lot). Technique trumps strength, but strength and technique together trumps strength or technique alone. Peace.

  • Not necessarily..

  • This guys comical.Good techniques.

  • good techniques but you need to strength. without stregth you cant do this

  • what if he punches twice? or even three times? ZOMG!!!

  • LMAO, you couldn't stand a second against some trying hard to punch you out. what a fake.

  • foot fist way...its googooplex

  • poor guy he's getting all the asskicking

  • lmao at the ending. if that was fuxing concrete.

  • oh And.. 6:10 hahaha this guys the shit .. love the vids

  • lmao 1:30 hahaha priceless!!!

  • Comment removed

  • at 2:16 as soon as he start letting me go he getting the knock out punch wit the right

    game over

  • Exactly. In an actual fight half this shit goes out the window. Whilst you are trying to remember the other half your opponent is busy gouging out your eyes.

  • lol you honestly don think this will work?

    fool

  • You memorise all the moves then. I prefer to rely on Stanley.

  • i don't agree with carrying knives, but your comment was funny...

  • this is jeet kune do (wing chun, kali,... whatever) and it works against any1 if u do it right, bruce lee built his "legends" with this exact same style.

  • you will keep alot of people away by your language only;.

  • He's teaching techniques to maim and cripple other living breathing human beings, and you take issue with his language? Your priorities are all kinds of screwed up.

  • Yes, I do see your point here.

I think he is speaking in the context of self defence.

In other words no other choice!

  • please learn the basics first...how to throw a jab or a cross...thats nothing...nobody strikes a "right" like this...

  • watch him say "this way" at about 1:24 lol... i like this vid though.

  • Perhaps the "getting inside the attack zone theory" in PKT is the proper method of thinking, but clearly you must agree that in a clinch you can never assume your opponent lacks experience. Respectfully speaking if I may, what I meant was that getting into position, finding point of entry and redirecting oppositional energy and striking hard is the ideal goals. By "getting in and out", what I mean is to be a striker than a grapler unless your absolutely certain you can over power the enemy,

  • is good when your oponen is your student, your friend or things like that...do you really think that this is funtional??? ask to a mma guy!

  • not everything is designed to be used in a cage againsta pro athlete. im sure he's not actually stupid enough to (for example) try to catch a boxer's punch. but street "fighters" do it all the time

  • Nice demonstration. A lot of the moves in PKT, SILAT, etc - we see frequently on You Tube. It's all good to know and train most of these moves, but what people forget is that you MUST apply the appropriate technique to the given situation in the these arts. Knowing what do is the key. A smart fighter would strike fast & get in and out before a man of this size would grab you. Do not forget that if someone knows how to bait and fake out, then all the training in the world won't help you.

  • actually you were right up till the getting out part. many situations require staying in and nuetralizing him from locks or breaks. jiu-jitsu stuff. even if a guy is bigger if he has no expirience with ground-fighting he is just a fish out of water 90 percent of the time. most folks dont know ground-fighting. this kind of strikes on top of jiujitsu skills would be much more dominating.

  • "the fun of it" 4:02 - exactly what this is, not the most effective, no economy of movement, you get this with alot of teacher who are used to training with far weaker students.

  • when you get to this point most people are weaker. there may not be another competent teacher for many miles from where this guy operates. these people are insanely rare.

  • didn't i see this guy on a gay hotline commercial?

  • . . . i dont know, i dont really watch gay hotline commercials. . . .

  • this is the most amazing realistic fighting video ive ever seen

  • I think this dude has probably killed a few ppl.... @.@ Christ he's rough as hell with his skinny partner.

  • 5:28 he straight breaks his wrist, you hear it crack!!! lol

  • hahaha dude ur right

  • he might have....holy shit. thats bad teaching.

  • Guru Simonet is fucking awesome!!!!

  • butter

  • I believe the pour guy its his son in law or some shit cuz he treat him like crap if thats what he does to friends... well im scared

  • Wow this guy's voice sounds exactly like Alec Baldwin's.

  • If that was FUkING concrete, that would of really hurt.

  • ok good moves but jeez, go easy on him!

at 1.55 u hear the skinny guy moan cos he's in pain lol!
