@aldersmoke1 i said the same thing years back when i first heard the early In Flames stuff. But now that I've been exposed to such amazing, epic music, I'll never look back. I'd take a guttural vocal style with brilliant orchestrated music any day over clean vocals with mediocre accompanying music.

Agalloch continues to reach into our souls....the release of breath at the beginning of this song envelopes all your senses and brings you to the point at 1:31 when the song hits its stride..powerful. They take you to another world, because the world Agalloch scripts doesn't exist anymore...again at 4:25 the power surges until peaking at 7:15, brilliant. This band spins such great music that they must be channeling from the depths and dreams of ages past.....Roland, Gilgamesh, Beowolf etc..wow

I think the people who have disliked this song amongst other from this album, are not really into black metal and are like -_- given their past work hasn't been THIS much on the "black metal" side, but I for one love this. It is great black metal.

@asklcnvivdf I'd recommend either the album "Ashes Against the Grain" or "The Mantle." My favorite song off of "The Mantle" is "In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion" and off of "Ashes Against the Grain" is "Falling Snow"..... Although I pretty much admire all of their songs a whole lot.

I seriously cannot get over how awesome this sounds. Melancholy, doomish, with haunting leads. I was afraid that this album was gonna be some progressive metal mumbo jumbo like their last one.
