  • Dinosaur PileUp - All Around the World is the song in this vid, you're welcome. :)

  • w.youtube.com/watch?v=s41yPePAGPo

    DirectX-11 vs UDK DirectX-9

  • That's ....errrrh, theirs no splash in th water.

  • amazing

  • That is literally one of the worst songs I've ever heard in my life.

That shit is offensive to my ears.

  • Yeah, I don't see any difference between DX11 and DX10. Am I missing something?

  • What's the song people ?

  • Man, I love the dynamic water.

  • I think I will wait for DX12 before I buy this game.

  • YoUrE vIdEo LaAaAaAaAaGgGgGyYyY

  • Why wont VALVe use this?

  • @leerman22

Valve is too awesome for this

  • @leerman22

Valve is in too much love with low end 5 year old hardware.

But valve does use new generation technology like this in their trailers. Look the L4d1 intro, l4d2 intro or The Sacrafice trailers.. But they won't update the actual game too look like that. Thats what source could look like.

I wish left 4 dead looked good like the actually trailers. The actually game is fun, but looks like outdated ass.

  • @imperialcrypt

I still prefer Value games for their gameplay over any other company. You're right though, they need a new engine so bad. The least they could do is just license Cryengine 3.

  • cars really should hydroplane that water.

  • The difference between DDR2 800 and DDR3 1333 is not that big no but its about 20% not 5% however the difference between DDR 3 1333 and DDR2 800 is INSANE when it comes to rendering things with texturing in real time in programs such as Maya, things that used to take me a day or two are done in a hour or two these days when it come to rendering.

  • Showing different beween DirectX 9.0 and 11.x (with ordinariy garfical card).

  • That car was driving very slow or the water is just like syrup at 0:36

  • @1ssi7h It was driving slow to show the effects of the water. If they shoed it at normal speed it would be too quick to see anything properly :)

  • how can i start this game wich Dx11 i have a Ati 5750 and my average frame is 33.5 everything on high but i never tried it on Dx11 i know my card suports it.

  • @chahid1992 i think it's in the graphics setting

  • Is A 1GB card enough for smooth direct x11 on a quad core 2.3 GHz

  • @Dominoes282 Lol depends on the card... theres old 9500GT that have 1gb

  • @Dominoes282 Doesn't matter about how much VRAM you have, shaders matter much much more. Before in DX10 when I had my dual 4870 512MB, running in 1080P it performed just a tad under the 5850.

  • @Purepromedia well think about it your dual 4870 added to 1GB but runs slower because it doesnt have the amount of MHz the 5850 has. what processor?

  • @Dominoes282 Read about how crossfire Works. It does NOT double up the frame buffer. The GAME, OS, and DirectX kernals Only recognize 512mb, though u have 2 gpu's processing the power. Each gpu can only handle 512mb. Its still not like a dual 1GB card, or a single 1GB card. I dunno why, but its been said many, many times.

I believe my i7 920 was at around 3.8. Though he was using a phenom 3.4 . Game I played was COD5. In BC2 with AA, that changes a whole lot.

  • @Purepromedia man having that I7 is a dream, 3.8 is beyond my quad core 2.3 heh but good point

  • херня всё это -разницы меду 9Dx u 11Dx в этой игре нулевая- говорю как обладатель HD5870

  • ive farted out better music

  • could use a hand from u guys, my computers really slowing down of late and i think its the cpu, however too poor to change it :( but i do have a decent graphics card its a ati hd4850 512mb, and ive got 4 gig 800 ddr2 ram, but the processors an intel p220 and ive clockd it from 2.2ghz to 2.6 and thats as high as it will safly go, anything else i can do to gird it loins a bit more or should i just pick up more shifts and skimp on foo and get a new cpu and if so any idea wht one? ta if u reply msg

  • @GraemeDrummer New cpu, if you wanna stick with intel (I'm not sure what Socket ur current cpu is) but get a Core 2 Duo at around 2.6 - 2.8... it's cheap and if you're not a hard gamer that wants really good performances or video renderer it'll work perfectly.

  • @Aspect2010 aye well have changed things a bit, nvidia gtx 260 card, and an triple core amd phenom but its only 2.1 but did come with a new board so ill fix that soon enough

  • i can also wink with my arms and i dont need directx11 for that Oo (me is highend)

  • but why? still looks like shit. id rather go outside if i wanted to see somthing that looks real..

  • @oleedee so do you have a nice rally racing car and know how to drive it in RL? ;)

  • How good would this game run on Pentium D @ 3,2GHz, 4GB DDR2 RAM and HD5870 graphics card?

  • @lx787x get a cpu upgrade you moron.

  • @lx787x Get a better cpu and maby add an extra gpu to your comp in Crossfire.

  • You can tesselate games without any success if the textures are bad, so first try to use ALL the ressources you can, and try to program games better than crysis!

  • @anotherPCfreak it should not be the goal to just tesselate bad objects. It is the goal to use tesselation models.

What we find in Metro2033 or DiRT2 is not what tesselation was initially made for.

Stone Giant and Heaven benchmark show the proper use.

  • The longer you stay with that Pentium 4 the better your next computer will be, keep saving you will get there in the end.

  • and I guess I'll stick with the i7 920...

i think it's too much..because even with this pentium 4 i am able to play new games...like last year's games...hahaha

  • @ashrocks87 I had Pentium 4 b4 I got a new gaming rig and pentium 4 does not able to run many way many games.

  • @NielsShoe thanx dude u made me happy never thought it this way :PPP

  • @NielsShoe I trashed my P4 last year and I'm SO GLAD I DID that POS is GONE WOO. NO MORE LAGGING YOUTUBE VIDEOS. P4 just cant handle everyday tasks atleast a dual core can but the p4 is so old im so glad its gone.

  • @NielsShoe Ur right i got skrewed up right there.

  • @NielsShoe LOL

  • runs smooth with GTX295

  • @Sasuke0245 thats because its in dx9 dirt 2 only supports dx9 and dx11

  • im sooo unlucky...still running and enduring on pentium poor(4).....

  • you think your unlucky, i am still running a celron 3.2Ghz with sdram. saving for the i7 or

    i9 if it comes out

  • you think you are unluckier? im running on pentium 4 with 1gig kingston..and im waitin for i7, too. X0

  • You think you're the unluckiest??? I'm still running an athlon X2 2.8ghz 3gigs ram but something is wrong inside, doesn't perform so well, i'm saving up for, maybe a phenom II x4 965, pretty much a super computer. : )

  • what ARE you saying??

    i have pentium 4 2.66 Ghz

    kingston 1Gb RAM ddr2 667

    sea gate 80Gb HD

    im soo poor ;(

  • lol yea i know, that sucks dude! you gotta save up that money. And start working to bro.

  • @omar108

you think you're the unluckiest??? I'm still running a Pentium 4 1.8GHz with 1.5GB of RAM.

  • Lol, I am the unluckiest!!!! I use to have a celeron d 256mb ram ati radeon "piece of crap dx8.1 : ) but then i upgraded, and now im due for another upgrade sometime after this summer

  • and oh yeah, what's up with celeron 3.2?

im running pentium 4 on 2.66 ghz..

cant overclock it.. it's sooo old

  • Hardware tesselation of the hydration for the nation to prevent dehydration!

  • what did you just say?

  • Ok, I'm buying 5850!!!

  • Windows 7 runs perfectly on 512 MB PC, here's my config, tested and proved:

CPU: Intel Celeron @ 1.7 GHz

    RAM: 512 MB

Graphics Card: nVIDIA FX 5500 256 MB VRAM

    HDD: 40 GB

It runs perfectly, but for aero you need the latest drivers from the nvidia website.

  • it runs with pentium 3

  • anyone able to tell me what song this is?

  • all around the world from dirt2 ost

  • I gotta say its good and all but Id be more with it once it evolves because that isnt exactly breathaking

  • @Nathandevil1 oh god no lol dirt 2 to me really doesnt look much different in dx11 then in dx10 give it is the first dx11 game out there, ive seen some sneak peek videos and screens of dx11 games coming out and they were breathtaking! rumors have it starting around march most games will have dx11 ready!

  • ya, already did that,

realized after my post kinda silly Q's.

  • omfg

  • I use DX9 and I'm very happy with the graphics

    I don't use VISTA cuz I didn't like it

I'm thinking about move to windows seven

Should I stay with XP or move to seven?

    sorry for the bad english

  • Se7en is far better than XP, and if you need XP for any reason (very old software), you can use the "XP Mode"m wich is a Virtualization of an XP Machine, and works great. But, i have never used it, because Se7en is very backward compatible.

  • But you have to pay a hell of a lot more than the price of home premium to use the holy x pee mode. Anyways, linux is better :P

  • I have to agree with you on that, I don't think I've ever needed to use XP Mode in the months I've been using Windows 7 and I have hardware/software around 5+ years old. ^.^

  • @pokdspok DX9 is nothing compared to DX11 lol and windows 7 in my opinion outperforms xp :)

  • Sure they will. If you have 4GB+ RAM then most of the time the Operating System won't matter. I took off one DIMM of 2GB memory one time to test for memory problems. I couldn't notice a difference in any game I played. At most a 2-3 FPS difference.

  • I am just saying XP needs less, so tecnically speaking Windows 7 cannot run very well, maybe even not at all, on 500MB of RAM.

  • , 500 megs will suffice only for light internet browsing and office applications, if you're a user like that you won't need to build your own comp with 500 megs of ram, and therefore you would have to buy new which would come with windows 7 and at least 2gigs of ram, what you say is true for vista where vista was just a resource drain but 7 is optimized and if you're still using 500 megs of RAM, you don't need 7 anyway. Do they even sell 500 meg sticks anymore

  • @TrantaLocked actually thats completely wrong not only does windows 7 run nice on the worst of computers it runs smoother then xp does and its better! windows finally topped xp with win 7!

  • @alexambulance24 That is COMPLETE BULLSHIT. I am running WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM 32-BIT RIGHT NOW and I installed it not a week ago, and with two internet explorer pages open it uses 1GB of RAM. XP never crosses the 750MB line. Right at startup it uses about 600-650 MB and only goes up from there as services startup. XP runs idle 300MB.

  • well you must have something going wrong because right now im running windows 7 64-bit home premium and im idle at around 450-500mb infact even when im playing games i still havent went above the 2 gig mark and im running 6 gigs of ram on my computer.

  • and to reply back to that i have now opened my 7th firefox page or browser whatever you want to call it and im just now hitting the 1 gig mark

  • it must be because I have crappy DDR2 single channel RAM. (3GB of it though)

  • that should be enough, i mean DDR2 isnt all that bad as long as its at a high rate like 1333mhz something like that not that bad 800mhz most are.

  • Thats horseshit cuz im running 533 3gb DDR

    and my win7 is flawless

  • did you know the difference between DDR2 800 and DDR3 1333 is like 5%? xD

  • i know lol,reason why i said ddr2 isnt really bad lol

  • @yosmer333 price difference not so insignificant, not to say the price diff between mobo's

  • @yosmer333 in a game its like 5% because almost everything is done through the GDDR and the GPU, in desktopapplications with high use of RAM, like PS or copying large files, the difference is very well noticeble

  • @yosmer333 some ddr2 ram's 800mhz are faster than 1333 ddr3 cuz of latency...

  • @yosmer333 They just do stuff like that so your old RAM wont work in your new mobo. :)

  • @yosmer333 not if you overclock the shit out of it xD (DDR3 is easier to overclock because if lower voltage)

  • @yosmer333 LOL and I believe that is at most

  • @yosmer333 Actually the DDR2 can even be better, all depends on timings, and for those who did not know the '2' or '3' after the DDR stands for what it will be divided by... so DDR3 1600 is actually 1600/3 which is 533. Meaning that DDR2 1066 is actually the same thing, yet DDR2 ussualy has better timings, therefore the winner in my oppinion is DDR2... the only downside is that the new I7 processors use DDR3... I stil stick with my Quad q6600 and getting 4gb of DDR2 1200 that rapes 1800mhz DDR3

  • @Aspect2010 HAHAHAH. No your wrong, DDR3 also has LOWER operating voltages, much more bandwidth. The CAS latencies only applies to the specific ram. Compare apples to apples please. Dual Channel DDR3 even on a LGA1156 based i5/7 at 1066 7-7-7 should offer better performance the 1066 at 5-5-5. Bandwidth, and latencies in general. Try it yourself, maybe you'll figure it out. If not, feel free to reply back, Maybe I'm wrong. But it doesn't work out like that.

  • @yosmer333 really? how come? =O

  • @yosmer333 math doesn't count in nature.

  • @teknown Nature absolutly uses math bro

  • @yosmer333 In synthetic benchmarks, actual difference is even less noticeable...

  • @yosmer333 you know the diffrance batween 2gb and 4gb with a GTX460 is abt 100%

  • @yosmer333 but ddr3 1333 makes your balls bigger, DUH! xD

  • @yosmer333 5% is nice.

  • @yosmer333 You know that's BS? xD. 800mhz and 1333mhz.

  • @guesirwowghr

Not really, DDR3 has higher timings than DDR2 generally speaking. The latency makes the perceived performance difference very low.

  • who the hell USES A FRICKIN 500MB RAM?!

  • @TrantaLocked

XP is a crumpled old man. Explorer.exe crashes constantly when handling media files, WMP has bad native HD support and it's OLD. The 64 bit version of XP is even worse, having driver compatibility issues. Sure, it's kinda stable and runs good on old hardware, but it's DESIGNED to run on 2000's hardware. Windows 7 is DESIGNED to run on 2009's hardware.

  • Of course Windows 7 will use more ram than XP. Its like saying windows 98 uses 32mb more than 95 and that its outrageous. Get with the times.

  • move to Windows 7, I was an XP user for around 6 years before moving over to Windows 7 after the RTM was leaked and it's been a far better experience in usage and performance.

    Granted, I haven't got a DX11 card and just upgraded from a DX9 to DX10.1 ^.^

  • 7 is nice, its a very good OS.

light and looks a bit better then vista.

Windows 7 Pro, has a xp mode, witch is good for any xp only programs.

  • @pokdspok you should go to windows 7 for the fact only dx9? thats getting old xp cant go higher then dx9. and you would notice a big big difference in a lot of game just upgrading to vista or win7 just to run dx10 and upgrading to go from dx9 to 11 your going to be blown away.

  • cool development!! :)

  • The water looks like that for me, and i dont have a dx11 card, so i dont know what the purpose is with showing the water effect.

  • Trust me it's a lot better. I have played the game on DX 10 and DX 11, 11 kicks but.

  • @Skipper242424 This game cant be played with Dx10

  • @Skipper242424 not really, for one if you cant play on dx11 you can only play on dx9. and second the dx11 for dirt 2 isnt all that great looking you cant really tell a difference for the simple fact its the first dx11 game lol.

  • lfmao did you comeout from cave?

  • @club4ghz

No, i've been playing games for 20 years so no, i did not. You dont see any difference between the dx11 and the regular, because you are driving so fast you dont have time looking at the environment. If you go at 5mph you will notice it maybe.

  • @Fr0gg0 i know difference between dx9 vs dx11 iss only on flags and who look on flags + better shadows on rocks witch you dont eaven see when you drive

  • @Fr0gg0 well not true, even though theres not much difference in dx11 you can still notice the differences like the lighting on objects, you can see better shadows, and the ground looks better no longer looks like a flat surface when your on a rocky surface

  • There's still a lot of people who haven't even reached DX10 cards, and DX11 is already out? Fuck me!

  • They're pretty shitty, i was looking into a 5k series ATi card instead.

But you completely missed my point. I was saying that they're moving too quickly for their own good, and likely wont be able to capitalise on DX11's potential because most people are happy with DX9, let alone 10.

  • The water effects seem a bit tame.

There should be lots of water spray as a car rushes through it at that speed!

  • dude the tessellated crowd is enough 4 me to get this game.

  • beat this game bitces

  • No biggy, really now is it?

  • damit time to go get ati lol

  • Fuck the difference between DX9 and DX11 is fucking big

  • @Nunski17 just in the watter and flags and stuff..when you're playing you cant even tell the difference xD

  • hey..is that true when nvidia fermi launched..then ati launch the HD 6000 series?

  • @syedjaafar lol fail

  • Is Directx 11 possible with a Nvidea GTX260 Black edition?

  • only ATI has directx 11 cards. nvidea will release theirs soon though, the Fermi GT300.

  • @Supast4r01 well nvidia's dx11 cards will be a 100 series for Fermi not 300 like what seems to be what most people think

  • Actually the processor is codenamed GF100

    the series numbers are 300.

its right on thier website lol

  • No.

  • nope ati hd 5750 5770 5870 support dx11

  • @sunom9eg all 5000 series cards support dx11

  • Yeah, hate to jump in, but a 9500 GT is not a DX11 video card.

  • i'll upload a video as soon as possible just to shut that mouth of yours

  • i'm running the game at 1600x900 45fps constant, with dx11 effects, running on windows seven

  • i'll record a video then

  • quite a disappointment in the effects, the waterr isn't as realistic and ste splashes are just classical, the dirt doens't show any more detail and headlights not only look fake, but they have a limiterd reach.

  • and you are? if so then please enlight me with your knowledge

  • +1 for ProjectRegenisis.

Smokanci, you are stupid. The game looks much better in DX11, and yes you do notice all those effects. And i havn't noticed any FPS problems on higest, so screw you.

  • where is dx 10?i get it its because dx10 and dx11 doesent have much to compare!and thats true, this video is like add so people would spend on dx11 graphicks cards!

  • If this is true DX11 why JUST a racing game. It is so linear. DX11 should be used for larger scale games. Imagine Crysis, GTA, or God of War 3 and the titans in DX11. Dirt 2 does not really show off EPIC GRAPHICS !!! OMG of Direct X 11. When i see real DX11 graphics i want to be like HOLY SHIT! EPICNESS.

  • Comment removed

  • Sry if I double posted, seems to be glitching on my PC.

  • wtf are you talking about??? what do you want to see?????????????? do you have any idea what the video was featuring? those ARE some of the most remarkable features in DX11, specially Tesselation, if you don't know what that is about, then don't post stupid things like this

  • Most remarkable? I just played the game, for those crappy ass effects that you don't even see while playing, the game runs 40% faster on DirectX 9 and I don't have any of the sudden fps drops DirectX11 cards are experiencing. Thank you very much and keep you remarkable effects to your sorry ass.

  • 1_i've also played the game, the "crappy ass effects" which apparently you can't see are actually very noticeable, if you don't pay attention to them, it's another thing. 2_ where did you get that statistics? out of your ass? or your mouth? i couldn't tell. 3_ i'm not getting any fps drop at all, running the game with a geforce 9500gt gddr3, don't generalize. 4_thank YOU very much

  • nothing will ever be better than the pc

  • then you must be fucking blind

  • I came buckets

  • DX11!!

    YEA!

  • my point is ..Codemasters is Reviving racing senario in pc history.. before that it was all gran turismo or forza bragging thing in consoles.. now pc gamers can proudly say .. we have dirt 2 we have codemasters..

  • Codemasters stealing the racing show in PC..

  • The water effect is awesome.

  • Well all i can say is bring it on! Got my steam activation code ready and my HD5870 is just sitting waiting to use its DX11 GPU soon, meanwhile its teeth are well and truly stuck in MW2. And by god does it look sweet on the PC, Dirt 2 is looking awesome too but nothing on the net can truly show it off, its gonna be until ur firing it up at 1920x1080 with AA and all, hopefully running at a lovely smooth 60fps!!

  • It Is on myspace! finally!

  • It looks incredible!:D

And thought that the first Dirt had amazing

    graphics^^

  • wht didn't they turn on anti aliasing?

  • also the game would be much diferent if it was being MADE from DX11 at its base but now its a 10 game being converted UP. had they started with 11 im sure it would be MUCH more of difference.

  • Dirt2 started out as a DX9 game.

  • Comment removed

  • dirt 2 was the first game to come out with directx 11

  • Actually STALKER Call of Prypyjat was earlyer, but in dirt 2 directx 11 effects looking more nicer! ;)

  • At 0:36 the water is nice but in f.e.a.r, a 2005 game, there's the same effect when you walk in the water! ^^

  • not quite the same. that just shows the skill of fear makers. its now NATIVE.

  • Still programming you idiot.

  • In oblivion aswell omg noes.

  • good to see codemasters making up for the ofp dragon rising's crappy pc port.this one looks like it worths the delay on pc
