@hiyodo Jyu Oh Sei is a ton like this. Not BL, but the white-haired main character grows up in luxury in a perfectly engineered environment, then gets accused of a crime and shipped off to a prison colony on another planet where he faces adversity, becomes king of one faction on the planet, and has to save the world from ruin. One of my favorites, though regrettably also short. Check it out!

The anime is a decent adaptation of the novels. I've read translations and summaries of all the volumes and the ending of the anime is much different from the anime. For one *SPOILERS* Shion never died in the books, he and Nezumi both conivnced Elyurias to give mankind a chance, Inukashi kept the baby, and Shion is now helping to restore No.6. P.S. Shion never destroyed the chip the old man gave him either. *END SPOILERS* Whew! That was a lot. Other than that, a great anime. 4.5/5 stars.

I watched the whole series in one go and finished ep11 just now.

It's late now and I have work in the morning, but wow. Even though I knew that the whole time, I just couldn't stop at all!

I realized around ep10 that there was a manga and some novel(s), so I'm looking forward to those another day

Ok so I tried to post a quick little announcement video, but youtube wouldn't let me. Anyway, what i was going to say was that I'm currently trying to find a way to upload the last part by converting the speed, but every time I try, my imovie crashes. So in case I can't get it up ( I will try) I'm going to give you a site to watch it. The site is safe, I've been using for years. It's animecrazy (dot) net and then just search for No. 6.
