I dont know why but when I play Bass Clarinet for band at school, It is a magnet for my spit, it sucks, That happens to you guys? and tell me how I could Fix it cause its annoying.

@MasterOfPuppets762 use a swab often, especially on the neck and mouthpiece. after you play for awhile, you can suck in some of the spit that's collected in the mouthpiece and that'll help for a little bit. also make sure you don't have much excess spit in your mouth before you play

I don't get why somebody would think that the BC is horrible sounding. It's like calling the Bassoon a farting stick (which my whole school does) or a Piccolo a screaming four year old.

Just Beautiful. This is such a woefully under-appreciated instrument. I love the deeper registers, but this is one of the only winds that can hold a proper melody while hitting them. You can't get that out of, say, a contrabassoon.
