personally I could care less of how good a job a coverband does. I find it lame and unoriginal because everything they "do" sounds the same. Aa for this particular song: there's a million covers of Metal as is - better ones, too and also ones that're way worse, agreed. Oh well, as long as there's ppl who like it, their existence is justified and I won't say nothing about it. But I don't have to like it and I get upset when covers are uploaded as if they were originals.
There's the Nine Inch Nails Cover - which is amazing and which they performed with the Author live in London this year and there's usually nothing better than the original. And I can't take a repetative band with not a single song they wrote themselves seriously anyways. But Check into both NIN and Tubeway Army or Gary Numan Solo, they're awesome, I think.

I noticed there's only 1 dislike to this video. That's good. I'd hate for any other Numan fan to have to hear this...

well somethings wrong here - gary numan song is about a future nightmare, this sound like a "lets all go out and smoke some pot" song!

Nouvelle Vague is a coverband, they always use the same stile for the songs of other bands.
as joy division, depeche mode sisters of mercy and a lot more... and they do a great job.

i think that al lot of bands sounds always the same. thats ok, i wouldnt buy the whole discography from this band but some songs are realy great.
whatever... i like this one, right, i like the nine inch nails version more, but this is a good backgroundsound.
