Yes, and showing that you used "Fielding Percentage" just shows how little you know. IF a player stands still, and only gets balls that roll to him, his fielding percentage is 1000%. It's a very dumb stat. There are LEGITIMATE stats such as Range factor and Rate2, which factor how much RANGE a player has, and arm strength. He is rated 22nd of 28 competing shortstops.

A .326 OBP (Which is the result of walks) is very very poor. The avg. OBP for shortstops was .350.

Yes, that's DEFINTELY what you want as a player. To be an average minor leaguer, and get to the pros at 28 years old. Fukudome is an amazing fielder who will be in the running for Gold gloves while hitting MANY doubles and 15ish homers, Theriot is a sub-par fielder. Fukudome also walks a LOT, Theriot's .326 OBP shows you that he doesn't walk.

Do not compare Fukudome to Theriot. Fukudome has been good his entire career, Theriot has been an average minor leaguer and a very poor Major leaguer.

I am a giant Cubs fan, but Ryan Theriot is an awful player. He doesn't do anything a major league starter should. I have no idea why so many Cubs fans are in love with him. He should be a backup for any other team. He doesn't hit well, he doesn't get on base well, and his defense is average at best. "But hes so fast and scrappy!!!" Please.
