I'm not buying it chevron. The best thing for the earth and humanity is finding an alternative to the core of your business. I find it extremely difficult to believe that an oil company is going to seriously invest in alternative energy technologies that undermine their core business.
@elatus Thanks for your comments. At Chevron, we believe it will take all the energy we can get in all forms to meet future demand, not just fossil fuels. So we certainly focus on the development of renewables that are scalable & can compete in the world market. We expect to spend $2.2 bil between 2011 & 2013 on renewables & efficiency. We spent $4.4 bil on renewables & efficiency from 2002 to 2010.

We must switch to renewable energy but I believe I speak for most when I say, we don't want any part of Chevron in what ever future we may still have. Chevron just go the way of the dinosaur because that's what you are.

The market is moving very fast, and you can't buy them all betting that they will all be winners. Put money into local community colleges to find the best of the best. Good luck to you in the future.
