  • can they be registered in NSW ?

  • how much does the 250cc v-twin cost because i really want one of them

  • How much of a top speed change did you gain by replacing the rear sprocket to a 28 tooth?

  • yes u can register them as special contruction not kit or kikker. 200 still knockin in socal!

  • Yep i saw this vid a long time ago... i actually bought a 200 hardknock and life hasnt been the same since! best way to fly around town.

  • Love the angle :-)

  • @Johnnyutah4328

    Right on!

Send me an email over to sales@californiahardknock . com and I'll get you all set up with one, the new 2011 are being released, 4" longer, larger rims, internal throttles and much more!!

  • can they be registered if it says not street legal and can it be registered in VA (virginia)?

  • I think these Kikker Hardknocks would make good "Barrel Racers..." Leave the suicide shifter...but go lower ratio for the launch & to power out of each turn @

    the barrels...

  • do you have to clutch like on a regular bike?

  • I know you can get them custom, but do they all come with a suicide jockey shifter or can you get them with the pedal?

  • A fun video, thanks

  • Glad you like it!

    Thanks!

  • Hey man great vid, Ive been looking into buying one of these. I just wanted to see what I could do to make one a bit faster, 85mph would be plenty, is that all you did was put on the 28 tooth sprocket? Also is there a difference in sound between a regular exhaust or the upturned? And btw how tall are you and whats your weight if you dont mind my asking? Im only 155 but I am 6'0, just want to make sure one will be comfy. Thanks for any info man!

  • Just Look for other Hardknock vids on here there are plenty of bigger dudes riding!!..its all about the gearing!

  • I love this bike so much. I want to get one so bad. Just need to get some money. Great vid.

  • Let me know when your ready, I got one with your name on it!

    California Hardknock . com

  • what other power adders are there for the bike that are worth payin for besides the smaller sprocket

  • There are other parts you can buy, basic stuff like CDI, Hot coil/wire, but in my opinion not worth paying for. Just do the rear sprocket set up for your size and have a blast. Trust me 85mph on one of these is plenty.

  • so if im about 200 what size should i get

  • 200 is not a problem, will all boil down to terrain. Lots of hills I would say 29 tooth, if where you are is pretty flat 28 all the way. There are plenty of 200+ guys riding 200cc with 28 tooth sprockets, even some will hilly areas.

  • i was thinkin of going cross country with my buddys and there all going on motorcycles and was wondering do u think this bike is ok to go 4000 miles on? were going about 500 miles a day?

  • That would be a lot of riding! You could definitely do it but you will be sore, it is a hard tail which means no rear suspension, just a sprung seat. Also you would want to swap out the tank to a bigger one (easy) the stock one will get you about 100 miles a tank.

Let me know if you are serious about doing it, I have lots of buddies that would be very interested in seeing this happen

  • yeah im serious but it will be in about 2 years i got to wait for one of my buddies to get a bike

  • When you say kit what do you mean? Is it already painted. Does the bike have a VIN?

  • Yep, the kit comes as you see it here (minus the aftermarket rear sprocket) all the paint, chrome and parts are stock!

The bike has a frame number, some states will use that as a vin, other states like here in CA will make you go to the CHP office for a VIN to be assigned and you will get a blue tag.

  • How fast will the bike go?

  • Stock it will go 75mph, with new gearing 80-85mph

  • Im seriously considering buying one of these bikes. Would you mind answering a few questions?

How is the over all quality of the bike?

Is the bike able to ride on the highway? Or are you pushing the engine to hard?

And can you ride the bike for long distances? And by long distances I mean 35 miles one way.

  • The quality is really good, beyond my expectations. Also it is a kit you assemble yourself so the build quality is as good as you make it. Use blue Loctite on everything and your fine.

I havent taken the bike on the freeway yet, but it is allowed on the freeways and would certainly keep up with traffic, cruises right along at 65 with plenty of revs left.

It is a hardtail bike so you wouldnt want to ride too long without a break for your kidneys LOL. 35 miles is no problem at all

  • What does changing the sproket do ??

  • Makes it faster!

More top end and lower revs, pulls better too

  • thanks alot for always replying do u know where i can get a rear sprocket and is there a break in period on theese bikes and if so should i break it in with a stock sprocket and then get the smaller one or can i put it on when the bike is getting built

  • No problem, I am happy to help to get more of these out there. You can get the rear sprocket from just about any HardKnock dealer, or you can go to Rebel Gears, but always try to support your Knock dealers first. The part number will be 405x.

There is no real set "break in period" some guys just jump right in to these things, they are really durable engines but I always like to break my stuff in, about 200 miles of different speeds and gears, after 200 miles open it up!

  • Part2;

Doesnt really matter if you break it in with the stock sprocket or aftermarket. You could always ride it around stock for the break in and see how you want to change the gearing, 28 tooth or 29 whatever you need. It is an easy swap out later.

Oh and do your self a favor, get an aftermarket chain right away, they are better and dont stretch as much, size is 520 and probably 110 links, dont forget a chain breaker
