Bloody Palace with Nero is like a walk in the park for me but damn I can't even make past 30 with Dante.. any tips?

I took your advice kerinoth and just incorporating costant charged shot three into my combat style enabled me to make it to wave 84 on the bloody palae from a previous high score of only wave 34, so thanks :D

@Vocalist181 No problem. The rest of it is just figuring out the spawn patterns and learning how to change the way you fight versus what monsters you're dealing with. It's also especially important to prioritize which monsters are the big threats (Blitzes vs Scarecrows, Chimeras Seeds in a room full of Scarecrows/Assaults, etc)

Try to dodge his attacks but - while I know their not - they seem undodgeable :/

@CoDSheepyy Do you mean Stage 20? The fight against Ifrit? It takes a little bit of practice to get a hang of the he fights down. Just remember, every move you make can be jump cancelled to allow you to dodge his attacks. Jumps in this game have a "startup" time that renders you INVINCIBLE to attacks. Makes it easy to cancel whatever move you're in the middle of and turn it into a semi safe move.

I might sound like a complete retard now but... I've beaten the games on 5 difficults so far without automatic, I'm at mission 12 on Hell and Hell, and i still have no clue what automatic will do for your gameplay, i hear so many says it makes it easier so i don't want to take it on.. Is it the lock-on system that makes it easier, or just targeting creatures on it own without you have to do anything on your own? Sorry for zero knowledge, but i need to learn it somewhere :)

@TheMrDiggi Automatic makes custom autocombos for you when you mash on the attack or style button. It automatically inputs certain special moves for you without you needing to know what they are.

Basically, it's meant for casuals who like to button mash/play the game without worrying about execution/depth of the game. It will not make your gameplay better, it will help you beat the game, yes, but not get better at the game. Think of it as "training wheels" for DMC4.

@artic9bobloser Nah, don't worry, I was just joking. I was being defensive since the other guy thought I was using Automatic and called me out on it. I made it a personal goal when I first got into this game NOT to use Automatic and to learn the game from the ground up, but I can understand why some people want to use it for a bit so that they can get used to the way the game works and transition on to Manual after they get comfortable with it. Keep practicing, you *will* get better!

@Alltimefox you can switch the button to shoot. most people would switch shooting from X to RT because it is very easy to hold RT down and continue with the combos.

how come at minute 34:40 onwards you Buster the Blitz(the Thunder enemy thingy)5 times. i saw your other vids that you can only Buster them for 4 times? to be able to do that you said in the other vids that you have to shoot them a fully charge Blue Rose to squeeze in a 4th Buster.

how can you do a 5th Buster? is there a trick? sorry bout the question, i'm really new at DMC4 and because of your vids i really want to become a pro dmc 4 player :)

@kennyrbk22 Yep, there's a trick. Start with the Air Buster first, after Nero knocks them down, land, do ground Buster, cancel the uppercut of the final hit of the buster into a jump and then Air Buster again. When Nero knocks them back onto the ground, do an air Charge Shot 3, Split to land quickly, ground Buster again, then jump and do a final air buster.

btw question about Dante. are you going to record a video on how to do DRI? and what do you think of Royal Guard? do you use it for fun? or its as important as Trickster and Swordplay?

@kennyrbk22 Watch my Dante FULL playthrough vid. It's on the upper right. It'll show you how I use Royal Guard - it's pretty useful.

For DRI, look up the Youtube vid "Devil May Cry 4 - Anatomy of Distorted Real Impact". That video gives REALLY good info on how to do DRIs and how to save DT gauge when you do it. If you want to distort other moves, look up the video "DMC4 The Art of Distorting".

Very nice video, but if i may ask, how did you get a 1 hour video on YouTube in HD without it going over 2GB? it looks very clear and by the looks of it, you used around 6000 BPS, but wouldn't that make the file bigger than 2GB?

@evilhazardz Go to the Upload page, there's a "Advanced Java uploader" on the right, which allows you to upload videos that are any size you want. :)

I used 4800 BPS using XviD in VirtualDub via the ffdshow codec that comes with the Combined Community Codec Pack (I watch anime, if you can tell). I used to be able to make H264 encodes but Youtube started rejecting the ones I made recently. The resulting file was like 4+ GB.
