just use easus repartion master 8.0.1 Home Edition i used it to reformat my memory stick so that i could reserve enough space on it for the ipl . is you use mark2 this is the program for you ..mark2 are the ones that are developed by sony they give little space for you to insert ipl by the way if u dont know the ipl is what makes the psp with the pandorized battery inserted to reboot . good luck. :p

1) The memory stick will never be exactly 4,096MB (Because some of that storage is used for the file system).

2) Some of the older cards don't support MagicGate.

3) I bought my memory stick from wal-mart and it only has 3806MB User Capacity BUT Supports MagicGate

The problem with fake ones is that they transfer slower (Magic Gate enables faster transfer speeds), and they are usually smaller than advertised (pay for a 16 GB, get a 4 GB that says it's a 16 GB)

when you buy an 8gb ms pro duo for psp you have to format it to FAT32 so that psp games that exceed 500mb will work. FAT wont work on some memory cards so always format it to FAT32 to make sure they work and if it still doesnt work just return the damn thing :)
