  • I've just got a like 15year old PC well the case is ancient, but everything inside is sound, ermm, i bought a VGA - HDMI cable thinking that would be able to link the PC to my TV, apparently not, but the example above, will it work from a desktop to a TV straight up or do i HAVE to have a monitor?

  • Don't bother buying the converter just buy a vga to hdmi cable

  • @cmardle07 But you wont get sound without the converter Im right?

  • @Thetrutv just buy a double side 3.5mm jack

  • He's got a nice pair of tits in that presentation.

  • LOL it would be alot easier to use vga to component right

  • is there's a cable that have a VGA TO HDMI END'S or this is the only way.

  • @911tifa No there is a HDMI to VGA cable, go to amazon.com and search HDMI to VGA cable then i should pop up

  • I just want to know if i can plug the HDMI end to a GPU card and the VGA end to an HD LCD Monitor.

  • wts with u and throwing things away man :P

  • This vid is about 2 yrs old...I have a toshiba laptop thats about 2 yrs old (USB Ports)and a new HD flat scree (HDMI & USB Ports) All you need is ONE VGA cable to connect your laptop to your flat screen tv. They start @ $20 depending on how much length you need. You can get them at best buy or even Wal-Mart.

  • @thenewmike2012 I can see a HDMI socket on the back of my hd tv - are you saying that my Toshiba Satellite laptop can connect to the tv by using a vga cable - because that would be Very good news! I was naively looking for a 'vga' socket on the back of my tv. .

  • @yastunt It depends on the model of Toshiba laptop you have. Heres what I suggest...take your laptop to Best Buy (or a similar store) that carries Laptops and flat screens. Find the person that supervises the electronics dept (most of the staff are usually young and not knowledgable), show him/her your laptop and ask him/her to walk you over to the same model of TV that you have. Then he can give you the proper cable to make your connection. Good Luck.

  • @thenewmike2012 GOOD IDEA!

  • @yastunt There are cables that easily connect to your laptop to your flat screen tv. Dont buy into the "online scams" follow my advice and you will do well AND save ALOT of money.

  • Will this work for a older PC (not a laptop)?

  • @lyayme123 yes

  • there is an hp adapter that sent from hdmi to vga

  • hey craig Im wondering if if i have to buy the box to plug in my computer monitor?

  • As i see with video converter it helps to connect between Analog VGA laptop to Digital signals..but i can't figure out the problem that the output of my laptop is HDMI and the input of my LCD/projector is VGA....so how to solve this problem? Do i need any such supporting device as video converter or sth else???

  • hi the only question i have is does it make everything HD meaning could you watch something on the internet which may look crap without HD and make it into HD also how much would this be if i buy from England or dont u ship abroad thanks oh and also if i played a football game(soccer) on my pc would it make it look HD and make it look better then if i was to watch it in SD on a TV

  • @ChingWhonPow The good thing about using this converter box is that you get an HD-like picture. Not exactley HD but close. Most HD tv's also come with a VGA port, so you can also use a single VGA cable to connect your PC to your television, but the quality wont be as good. With this converter you get a better picture because its converting the analouge signal to a digital signal.

  • easy on those boxes guy

  • vga-to-hdmi-cable.avi to VGA to HDMI Cable

  • @germanmusicmaker But would it make any difference? Just changing the connection because the VGA connection wouldnt be changable? What do I need for it?

  • Comment removed

  • Why always HDMI to VGA

Why not Multi av to VGA a lot more cheaper...

  • Hey @ringaroundsatur18215 , is the quality good enough to use it as a computer monitor, I mean word processing and reading books? Thanks.

  • will this work with ps3??

  • My VGA to HDMI converter seems to send the picture, but depending on resolution, some parts of the picture are cut missing or the picture is moved left or right or the color is wrong respectively.

Can I somehow fix that? With settings or maybe software?

  • so am i right that if i have screen that only supports vga, this thing makes it hdmi?

  • why did you throw the instruction manual? xD

  • I like ur style

  • son of a fat fuck...i just bought a vga to hdmi cable i feel like shanking somebody in across the face....FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh well looks like imma have to return the goddam thing

  • does anyone know if this will work in the UK ifi buy it from this company? also does this work on a PC that has a VGA graphics card, i currently have my pc connected to my Full HD TV via VGA but y graphics card is set to the Full HD resolution, thanks

  • hi i was wondering if i connect a vga cable from one end to a monitor and the other to the converter box then the hdmi cable one end in the converter box and the other end to the ps3 will that allow me to play the ps3 on that vga monitor? please reply asap thank u

  • Hi, i was wondering if the converter should be compatible with laptop and the tv or you can use any vgt to hdmi converter.

  • hey i was wondering if i can buy this product from u guys direct couse im from australia and i can't get this product any where couse no one sends it overseas

  • Unfortunately, this device only works uni-directionally, meaning it will not send a signal from an HDMI device to a VGA monitor. I'm actually not aware of any equipment that does that task. But it works as an upconverter, changing VGA to HDMI for newer displays.

  • Hi , I was wondering if you could use the same feature to connect my PlayStation 3 to my LCD Monitor :)?

  • can i connect the hdmi end into my laptop and plug the vga end into my monitor?

  • yes im using a desktop so i can see noting on the tv

  • i have to run a length of cable aprox. 16ft, should i run a 16ft hdmi or a 16ft vga. what would be better. i realize with a long vga i will have to run an equal length sound cable

  • Would I be able to connect a PS3 to my computer monitor like this?

  • how come then my FULL HD monitor uses only VGA cable and shows full crystal clear picture in full hd, if VGA is an analog thing? and how come my laptop knows my external monitor name without any drivers if connection is analog?

  • is the power from that device from the usb or from the normal elektricity?

  • cool. this video was definetly helpful. thanks!

  • worst review or talk about thing ever!

  • I have yet to see a HDTV that did not have a VGA port, so don't see the point here??

  • @HondaDNA95 unfortunately, the TV I got for christmas did not have a VGA port. :( so I bought a VGA to HDMI cable and I just got it today and its not recognizing it. :'(.

  • thanks for the video, now I know how to do this properly.

  • could you use this the other way around like a ps3 to my laptop by that meaning digital to analog?

  • y didnt ne 1 told me this before i bought the cable

  • @dayannevaladez Because you should have been smart enough to know that there is no such thing as a cable that runs analog to digital directly. Thats like running water through a pipe and milk coming out the other end.

  • @JASMann19

I'm sure there's a solution for that out there, but I don't know of anything right off the bat. I'll poke around and see what I can find for you.

  • Hopefully you will find this useful. It's a simple, low-cost way to watch computer video with audio on your TV. The cool thing about this solution is that it includes all of the cables, even the HDMI cable.

  • @ringaroundsatur18215

I was just wondering what if the connection behind the TV is Green, Blue & Red? I'm assuming that would be an analog connection of some sorts, because it's similar to an RCA? thanks dude,

  • @ringaroundsatur18215 Can you post a link where to buy that converter or post the name of it?
