People should be monetarily rewarded for productivity, creativity, and inventiveness and their profits should never be forcibly taken to reward those who are idle. That said I think it is incredibly sick that so much money is wasted fighting wars (which are often over money/resources) instead of helping those in need and creating better technology.
In my view, i dont think we need money at all. IT has created many problems, such as stealing, killings, etc. I believe the best way to go, which i doubt we would go into easily, is to make things like we are right now(computers,mp3s,etc.), but making them for other people for the sake of all of our happiness. Reward for giving free, the feeling of doing a good thing that made someones life better.

We have to pay to live here because we walked away from the farms, where we produced our own means to live. We sought the comfort of an easier life. And we have that.
Divorcing money from what we have off the farm is light-years away. It's Star Trek stuff. Even if "free" energy replaced oil tomorrow, they'd make us pay for it. But in any state, there is always a cost to life, and you have to pay it to live, even on the farm.

In asia there are far more people over 100 years old than in the US and I think that maybe even in Europe and for sure in other countries all over the world (all over our planet) people live way longer in average than in the US. If Alex's saying is true.

BUT i am getting a little annoyed at the US centralised commentes such as "outside the US the life expectency is alot less" when in reality is not so as the US is all the way down at 35 highest life expectancy. While in here in Australia and others we are up at number 7. This is not an attack as im a huge believer its just a reminder.

I really enjoyed most of this interview and I think Alex made some very valid points, however I disagree with his negative view of money. People should be monetarily rewarded for productivity, creativity, and inventiveness and their profits should never be forcibly taken to reward those who are idle. That said I think it is incredibly sick that so much money is wasted fighting wars (which are often over money/resources) instead of helping those in need and creating better technology.

In my view, i dont think we need money at all. IT has created many problems, such as stealing, killings, etc. I believe the best way to go, which i doubt we would go into easily, is to make things like we are right now(computers,mp3s,etc.), but making them for other people for the sake of all of our happiness. Reward for giving free, the feeling of doing a good thing that made someones life better.
