but in an actual fighting situation for example on da street or sumthing im fairly sure hes silat gayong techniques are more useful :D

This is not fair that Joel can get black belt 3-cula without grading and should be following by belt color level. He started with empty and supposed to get white belt first. By the way, if he made a sweeping kick backward or scissors kick to make the opponent falling he will win. Moreover, he is a lot of retreat without fight back. In this sport, injured is just normal thing. I had seen worse injury than that but still continue the game.

this is why the reasons i hate sport silat, too many rules. Its totally different with the traditional silat fighting methods

This is not a street fight, there are rules and regulation, i m sure joel just lack of experience, it takes at least 6 month to fully master technique that being use in the competition
