How does a disc plow compare to a rototiller? Do they do the same job? The reason I'm asking is because I am looking to start my first food plot next spring for deer hunting and the plot I'm looking to do is only like 1/4 - 1/2 acre big and also what equipment will be better to make a plot that size I'm doing.
A plow will cover more ground but a rototiller leaves you with more finished ground. In the end they're probably the same.
What they show in the video isn't a disc plow its a disc harrow. A plow digs down deep and turns over the soil. A disc harrow breaks up the clumps in what the plow has turned over or helps to cut your seed into your soil.
