Thanks for that useful piece of info I'll remember this for future use but not that I'll put a new Drive on my Laptop. But atleast all thanks to the know how I'll use youtube more often for installng things on the PC.

HI Bro! Good job! eSATA/USB is also know as eSATAp. or Power over eSATA.

The good news is that almost 40% of the notebook have this high speed port.

Its easier to implement than USB 3.0 for desktop, because SATA is in the blood of PC & MAC. You simply requires a bracket. ZERO drivers. Hope to see more of these videos. -eSATAp Support Group (Singapore)

does the optical drive have to be a special esata device or is it just a standard sata as it appears to be, and therefore any hard drive/ optical drive will automatically work by just plugging it in?
