Thanks, I bet they come back every year cause you dont bother them LOL I quit putting hanging plants out I didnt want to have a nest in there and damage it by watering the plants
Was the first one a thrush? nice to watch Walter..expanded family!! unfortunatly video would only play half way...coulld be my computer playing up again!!
Nice video Walter, good to get a peep into nests and see the youngsters. The hardest bit of video will be trying to be there when they make moves to explore the world outside of the nest. Would be great if you manage to get that video. The Tits are busy building here but it's in the neighbours box so I guees he wont be wanting me climbing his trees with a video camera lol....cheers Walter 5*
@pwalpar LOL....thanks Walter, that's going to be a hard one to explain when the cops roll up lol......"What are you doing with a video camera on a 20ft pole sir".......errrrm well I'm filming some birds in the next garden!!!..........ok lock him up lol....
Nice video and good investigation work Walter! lol It's funny you put this video up today because for the last few days I have been watching a bird make a nest on my neighbors window sill and was thinking of taking a look and videoing It. Maybe I'll do It tomorrow If the rain holds off.
Both nests are House Finches. They nest on my front porch columns and in my hanging potted plants every year.

It never ceases to amaze me how birds construct these excellent looking nests using only their beaks, and no tools, its incredible really.
Even I couldn't make a nest like theirs, and so neat, using just my hands and superior know how... ha ha
Nice of them to provide you with alternative video footage Walter... ha ha

Sounds like a good plan. A bit of rain will help us though. The pollen is bad
