  • I went on a trip from Chicago to "Sea world" with my best friend and her family. I was 15. We have to drive all the way the way there in his new mercedes benz. It was late, and everyone was asleep in the car, besides me and my friend's father. He was falling asleep. He ask me to take turns driving with him. I got to drive us the rest of the way in a brand new mercedes benz. !! He never even let my friend, his own daughter drive the car. I got to drive it before her.

My mom paniced and wound up go the wrong way down a one-way street. A police officer pulled her over and she explained that she was just passing through and didn't know the streets. He told her he would give her a warning this time! She pulled out and immediately turned down the next street. It was the wrong way again!

  • I would have to say the long drive from Ontario, Canada along the East Coast to South Carolina during March Break. When we left, we were more than ankle deep in snow. During the drive, the weather changed drastically and we were hit with a heat wave. We had to buy t-shirts and shorts by the time we reach South Carolina. It was an amazing transformation to witness the landscape change from snow covered hills to trees blossoming in Washington and Carolina. @charmedchickJG

  • Our family use to travel across country by car twice a year. We always had fun. The most fun was when we would be singing songs to the radio, or old CD's, after a while we would start to get a little punchy, and start making up our own verses. My sons seemed to be natural comediens, and would have us all in stitches. Once, my husband had to pull the car over to the side because we were all laughing so hard! (including him).

  • Our trip to NY.. almost every year. :)

  • The best car trip I ever had was when I was a kid and the family drove

all over the United States hitting only missing the south and east coast.

  • cross country with my brother - a 17 year old and an 18 year old - in a brand new RX-7...good times, good times.

  • looking at all the buildings on the way to the destination.

  • Driving to Savannah, Ga with my college friends! That was over 15 years ago and I still remember how much fun we had!

  • Since my road trips have always been straight thru drives, there's never been anything fun about them. I guess I'd say my kids and husband would think the funnest road trip was driving thru Texas and me getting pulled over by the state trooper for speeding. Since I've never gotten a ticket in my life, getting a warning and having to drive 65 for the remainder of the state was pretty comical to them. And if you've ever driven the entire state of Texas, you know how tedious driving 65 is.
