  • The oceans of the cosmos contain infinite mysteries!

  • Selkath:Hdsdjsdgjsdgds(Hello human, how are you today?)

Me: I don't understand you, get away from me or else I'll kill you!

Selkath:Hkdfweifsidsigrif(That's it I'm going to the judges! You broke the rules!)

  • no matter what song from the game I listen to, my first thought will always be manaan.

  • @sebseb1234567890 don't forget super mario 64's dire dire docks theme

  • I think I'll stop playing with "The Old Republic" to start over with Kotor :)

  • where can i download this song

  • I dont think i can ever watch this without getting goosebumps and remembering good times..............

  • I remember how I was on a save-free spree since tatootine for something.

    Then I got arrested..

    ..and executed. >.>

  • Goddamn selkath and their gosh darn laws, I did love that planet , though , the swoop racing was fun

  • I heard this in swtor and cried.

  • @xXBeanDelphikiXx I totally cried too, good memories and amazing song

  • Obey the laws here on Manaan, human.

  • manaan was one of my favorite levels in the game mainly cause think the selkath are awesome

  • This music reminds me of solving the Captain Sullio Murder Trial, wanting to be on his side the entire time, then finding out the truth about him. I love Manaan. I wasn't even threatened when guards arrested me, the music was too entrancing.

  • @MisterAssassinPanda it wasnt the Captain Sullio Case. That was in the second one. In this one its the Sunry Case.

  • This song is so peaceful... I would take forever on Manaan just because of this song.

  • This game is actually more epic better than all the movies (I-VI) together.

  • lolz. 5 people took troll bait

    FAGS

  • Manaan, favorite city :]

  • You have to put Kotor 1 in the top tier of all time games. You have to, it's simply a masterpiece and one-of-a-kind

  • @bj07bran7 Oh, I agree.

  • "I always feel a sense of peace when I walk upon the surface of Telos. The Ithorians are truely amazing in their work." - Bao Dur

  • I remember when my brother-in-law gave me the second game. I played it through, and really didn't understand it. Then I bought the first game a while later. And I must admit I absolutely loved it. Yeah there were some glitches, some levels were a pain but I can honestly say this is one of my favorite games for Xbox. I can't wait for The Old Republic!

  • Just bought the game for the PC instead of the XBox, Reminded me how awesome it is:D especially this level, when you go out and see the endless waters with the sun is just beautiful.

  • "NRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUH WHEN I GET OUT OF HERE YOUR DEAD!

I'LL GUT YOUR FISHY LITTLE CORPSE, CUT OFF YOUR HEAD, AND BATH IN YOUR BLOOD!"

  • I wake up to this shit everyday in the summer. Seeing the bright sun in the windows reminds me of the first time you walk into Ahto West main and are staring at a huge window with the sun reflecting off the water and onto the glinting white walls.

  • I always played this wolrd after Bastila was captured. The little bit of a depressing element in there fit really nicley in creating an emotional experience

  • This game is why i got an Xbox in the first place.

  • This song still makes me wanna cry. Its so depressing yet so calm. I love it.

  • So calming... I listen to this studying. Javyar's Cantina mix sounds amazing with DJ styled headphones. :)

  • This game, next to the Halo series, is probably the most influential to me, of all time. In my opinion, one of the best games ever.

  • @Neoparris

How sad is it that a video game is 'probably the most influential' to you? Why don't you get a fucking life, get out and get a girlfriend, fucking fagot

  • @gdoddmeta3608 can we not have any fights or name calling for one video it gets annoying after awhile

  • @gdoddmeta3608 someone is angry... i wonder why? XD

  • @gdoddmeta3608 penis

  • @gdoddmeta3608 Someones balls are raging, maybe a little too hard.

  • @gdoddmeta3608 This game was from like 2004, you know he is probably a lot different now, I'm sure he was saying back in the day. Dumbass.

  • if only i could re-live experience of the first time i played this game...

  • when i got here it brought back the feeling of taris, then i got said from remembering it got anyalated.

  • BEST GAME EVER!

  • GD DMN IT, THAT DOES IT! I'm reinstalling KOTOR

  • 1:12-1:28 is amazing. The best part ever. So peaceful. I wish George Lucas made a movie about KotOR.

  • @TheLyndonman

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in Empire at War, Manaan is one of the planets present in Galactic Conquest, so I don't think it was renamed. Lol. Given that Empire at War takes place AFTER Kamino is shown in the movies.

But anyway. This music reminded me of Zelda when I first heard it. But it is extremely peaceful and is why I loved going to Manaan so much. :D

  • @JayradIceVains i havent played empire at war sorry

  • I'm not trying to say that all you guys would prefer Star Wars over your lives, just that.....well, you know what I mean....hopefully. O_o

  • I can't believe that other people actually think the same way I do about this game....like the peaceness of the game makes you want to live in this universe and wanting to be able to play this game for the first time again. I thought I was the ONLY person who thought that. Well, I'm glad that I'm not the only person who would prefer Star Wars life then mine, dorkish, right? Anyway, still waiting for SWTOR, this game will be.....fuckin' awesome.

  • Manaan was a beautiful planet, but it seemed *too* clean and orderly. I think they have a law that if you litter you are to be executed.

  • i wonder if manaan was renamed kamino later on

  • Hate the Selkath with a passion equal to Wookies, so damn annoying listening to them talk

  • manaan is wonderful, i like waterworlds for some reason and when i first played kotor and got access to the galaxy map for the first time i went to manaan first, man the memories were so good and i cant believe a game can make me feel this way! i felt like i went there myself... man bioware truly are great people with such talent and the star wars universe is awesome, whos playing star wars the old republic when it comes out in december!!?? like kotor but on a much larger scale GONNA BE EPIC!!

  • I always hated going to Manaan because of all the stupid laws and stuff, BUT the music makes up for it :-)

  • Too bad for the Selkath they didn't foresee how much their arrogance caused by Kolto and constant neutrality would backfire as soon as Kolto became useless and obsolete (right after the invention of bacta).

  • I love Manaan!!!!!!

  • You've got to live the way Selkath speak.

  • God bless jeremy soule.

  • Oh my god thank you for uploading this, 2003 in my opinion will be known forever as the year when this incredible game came out.

  • i loved manaan and still do.. a water world? hell yes thats sick and the selkath..epic race.. lol i laugh everytime they talkd 2 me ^^ love that world man

  • The composition was amazing for this game.

  • ohhhhhhh this song is so awesome.........If I could live on mannan..........oh man...........heaven.......hearing this music and watching the calm seas and the sea gals flaying in there air........ohhhhh the sun on the water the angelic reflection on the water............peace -_-

  • @MegaCLONE66 And then out of no were a SITH TROOPER come out of no were and wacks you with a gunand tells u "U THERE CIVILIAN THIS IS IMPERIAL AREA WHAT ARE U DOING HERE" in case u dont remember that on TARIS under the lower cities. A Sith trooper tells u that when he sees u, he has a tale u know.

  • @MegaCLONE66

No sea gals on Mannan. :/

  • @MegaCLONE66 WOW! you just explained what was in my mind! thumbs to you!

  • Thx Merhawk for posting these! :P

  • Why can't i play this game for the first time again?!?

  • sometimes, the horrible voice of the selkath ruined the peacefull music of this planet =)

  • Imagine if the Lord of the Rings (be that a movie, but still, games and movies both have stories) trilogy by Peter Jackson suddenly cancelled the third one and instead showed a future Middle-Earth. You'd never see the ring being destroyed, you just hear how it happened and get thrown into a retarded future plot that uses that past as "distant foundation" for it's own nonsense.

I am a writer myself. What they do with the MMO is just atrocious.

  • @Tharulerme i agree with you on that. i was VERY surprised that they didnt come out with kotor 3 as well. I can say the same thing for republic commando.

  • In addition, I'm not a star wars fan, but to me KotOR is great as a game. Imagine that a sort of popular console FPS would suddenly become an RTS. It would suck. Switching audience is a mistake. I don't play MMOs, for a reason, yet I do play RPGs. Even if the story would be alright - I won't play it. So biowh0re didn't think of me, an oldy of KotOR. They were quick to whore themselves out to another audience. If only bioware was biodegradable our problem would solve itself. Money-grabbing f*cks.

  • I'm so fucking depressed!!

    Friend: Why?

CAUSE I CANT PLAY KOTOR FOR THE FIRST TIME ANYMORE!!!

  • Manaan was my favorite planet largely due to this. I seriously hope they make Manaan in SWTOR.

  • Was I the only one who didn't want to leave Manaan?

  • this and Bastila Shan's were the best music out of the whole game

    great game

  • youtuberepeat

It's Christmas Day 2006 again. I'm on Manaan again, I'm with my favorite party, and I stand to stare out into the blue yonder of the ocean. I love this game to death!

  • Kotor is my favorite traditional RPG.

Manaan is my favorite planet in the game.

And this music is my favorite part of Manaan.

  • dang old times

  • this game was epic. to tell ya the truth i think this was actuaally my first game i ever got for my xbox....it prolly was the greatest choice that i ever made in my life. this game alone changed my life forever.

  • @trillz31 Same, I never played these sort of Rpgs and I never cared about Star Wars before KOTOR

  • Simply sublime and enchanting, this heavenly music drew me back to Manaan countless times, indeed my second home, lol. Bittersweet nostalgia. Good times.

  • So calming.. but many of those selkath had something up their ass.

  • Damn water levels...

  • absolutely love this music <3

  • Where is the download for this soundtrack??

  • @Darth5igha try 4shared.com other than that idk...

  • I loved this level. You get so frustrated from the friggen Selkath staying neutral.

Wait a sec, or maybe I just loved all the levels...

Or better yet, maybe I just loved the game entirely.

  • In my opinion the most beautiful of the entire KOTOR Soundtrack, epic nostalgia xD

  • @SuperHaloStarwarsFan My second favorite behind Bastila's theme

  • this brings back so many memories. i remember when i was just a young lad and played this game for the first time. that first time you become a jedi, those feelings you get when you realize that little secret (not gonna spoil it for people who haven't played). it's just..... incredible. bioware's BEST work by far

  • @hiimquinn Oh yes :D

  • @hiimquinn what is that secret ive played the game i just dont get were your coming from

  • @PokemonScyther that you are the dark lord of the sith, Revan. one of the greatest sith lords of all time

  • So I was playing Twilight Princess, and the music for Lake Hylia reminded me of this track, with its harp and plucked strings. And Lake Hylia is a water world. Hm, coincidence? I think not.

  • The single best star wars game!!!

  • kotor movie! based on kotor 1 id have tears of joy :')

  • @MegaLewisN What if it sucked!!!

  • @Cybernator23 id have tears of sadness :'(

  • @MegaLewisN Agreed.

  • @MegaLewisN Absolutely not. What makes KOTOR so great is its freedom - everyone has a different personal relationship to the game, and having a film (or three) would destroy its value in our imagination.

  • It's Bioware. Have faith! Don't let it falter. It's Bioware. Everything will be alright.

  • We want a KOTOR 3, not a stupid mmo

  • I've commented on this video alot, but this game is just...I can't describe it.

All I can think of is how much I want to play this game again, but for the first time. I wish I could just forget it all and experience it all over again. The ironic thing is, the game is so memorable that there's no way to possibly forget anything about it.

  • I was so freaking pissed off when I unknowingly got banned from Manaan!!!

  • Bioware actually evolved Mass Effect from KOTOR, but I think they should make a KOTOR III with Mass Effect graphics (maybe controlls too) and voiced-manin caracter, and THAT game would be a best-seller. (MMOs get boring over time, with never-ending storys like a soap opera, and graphics are not so good)

BTW, what is Lucasarts doing right now? I mean they haven't made anything worthy since Force Unleashed (part 2 sucked), so they should make something worth playing, like:

    JAcademy 3

    RCommando 2

  • @Gasssolo SWTOR, and I think SW Kinect

  • @Tharulerme

To solve the story of Revan and the Exile after Kotor 1 and Kotor 2, Drew Karpyshynn, the lead writer for Kotor 1, and for the Mass Effect Series, is writing a book entitled Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan, out on November 15, 2011. This should tell us what happened to Revan. In addition, in The Old Republic MMO, there is a side plot on Korriban revolving around Revan, and his final fate. I agree, though, I still wanted a Kotor 3.

  • Lucas needs to stop being a chicken shit and either make the movie or let someone else do it. I think it would have more success then his original trilogies.

  • one of my favorite songs in the game and probably my favorite planet.

  • People who talk about the fact that TOR will be a MMO. You should know as it IS a MMO, you're forgetting that Bioware is handeling it. Which means?

A good story. You can solo's this game mainly, only when you are planning to raid you will be having people to help you out. And is that so bad? Plus, this game is 300 years after The Dark Wars. Which means?

There is still a possiblity they will make a KOTOR III in the future maybe.. cause there could ben enough that happend in those 300 years.

  • @RobinotX Yes, it takes place way after the first two games. Which means you don't even get to experience taking actions as either the Exile or Revan; instead you are in a mostly fixed "future" where their conclusions have already taken place.

"What's that, we missed the climax our singleplayer games built towards? Well, tough luck, we just wanted your money."

Why the hell couldn't they properly finish KotOR and make this a different MMO?

REALLY. Did they HAVE to ruin a whole series for this?

  • @Tharulerme

Well you do remember that you had two paths you could follow. So even if they choose to only tell use what Revan and the Exile did via this MMO. They always can say, and know were going to make a KOTOR 3. So you guys know what happend there.

I don't mind it. I know Bioware, they can make an awesome story. Heck, didnt you also wanted to take part in the Mandolorian Wars? I mean, it would be epic if Battlefrond III would tell the story of that <3

  • @RobinotX Definitely, I would also like a it if they included the Jedi Civil War so we can have a battlefield full to Jedi vs Fallen Jedi.

  • @Tharulerme There's no reason why there won't be a climactic ending toward the class stories in the SWTOR games. Stop being ignorant and appreciate what Bioware's doing.

  • @TheSWTORMMO Oh, how about the fact that you WON'T BE PLAYING SAID CLIMACTIC ENDING?

Ignorant? Why, no thanks, I'm fully aware of bioware's money train the last few years and if it wasn't for a bunch of casuals like you the train in question would've been a trainwreck by now. But no. One of the better game series out there has to be abandoned and written off with an MMO to suck the money out of the unintelligent fans.

You know what good sequels are to KotOR 1 and 2? Restored content mods.

  • @Tharulerme They've been saying thousands of times the game's story is a spiritual successor to their KOTOR RPG; clearly the Bioware endings for the class stories are going to be good - stop being ridiculously ignorant.

"Casuals like me"? You're affirming your ignorance and your argument is falling into little pieces. Get with the program and deal with it, you'll have KOTOR 3-10 with this game - with regular content updates. That's A LOT better than any single RPG they can craft.

  • @TheSWTORMMO I am inclined to say "F*CK YOU!" .

If you hadn't noticed, KotOR 3 was actually CANCELLED in favour of this crap.

And funny, I also watched that video where they said they wouldn't ever need to make a KotOR 3-10. In terms of profit, no, they probably won't need to do that thanks to monthly subscriptions. However, in terms of content, the story now goes a completely different direction and isn't much relevant to KotOR anymore. Why? Because it's many years in the future, that's why!

  • @Tharulerme Deal with it.

  • @TheSWTORMMO I'm sure as hell dealing with someone without a clue nor the respect for stories, alright. Although you've apparently run out of statements - very good, stay quiet. Don't need to know how much foolish people are going to waste time and perhaps money on another disgraceful and pointless game like that MMO.

  • @Tharulerme Revan is still alive in the mmo. quit freaking the fuck out. if you wanna find out what happens then just play the game.

  • @UglyS71ck That's NOT what I wrote.

You can't play as Revan or the Exile. Even if they make a brief appearance - what's the freaking point? All the while we've played as two characters working from and towards a single yet very interesting plot. Which is gone now and replaced by an obsolete "aftermath" for whiny kids to explore in a grindfest.

No, I will not play that crap, thanks. A pathetic MMO conversion cannot deliver anything remotely close to the singleplayer experience of KotOR.

  • @Tharulerme kotor 3 is also what i would prefer but none of us are ever going to get it. ever. plus if you read up on the lore for the mmo you will realize that the mmo is in fact following what happened in kotor. but since its an mmo they have to add a shit ton more quests than just the story of revan and the exile. there will be/is an ending to what happened with those two. i dont really see the problem.

  • @UglyS71ck The problem is exactly what I typed all along, if you still have trouble reading or unstanding that then I suggest English classes.

In the MMO you don't play from were the first two games left it at. It leaves a big interval, a big unplayable gap for the player(s). Sure, they can SAY that Revan and the Exile went from this through that, but wake up, we were supposed to have a bloody game about those details.

Which is now cancelled in favour of utter CRAP that comes long after it.

  • @Tharulerme well i guess you can toil in your anger and hate while im enjoying myself playing the game then. also there is a book about revan coming out that will most likely explain what happened in greater detail. but im sure thats not good enough either right?

  • @Tharulerme your cheap attempts at english class "insults" honestly arent very insulting as i understand what you are saying but im attempting to give alternatives. its obvious you are going to continue to act like a child though and all i can say to all of your whining is this: cry more. oh and perhaps you are the one in need of english classes as the words are correctly spelled understanding* and where*

  • happy memories of being 12 years old

  • Zen .....

  • 4 people don't speak Selkath. I love KotOR :)

  • @YellingDingo22 If you speak selkath, please teach me a phrase or two. ._.

  • @renshammar Kelttaaarthkshh norrt Jlashh "Will you play with me" jk it's not a written language.

  • @YellingDingo22 Sometime should take time and write it down lol

  • mannan is my favorite level of the whole game

  • @lightsaber609 Mine too. If it weren't for the freaking load screens, it would be perfect.

  • This should be ending theme some movie

  • It's beautiful, crisp, happy... but at the same time has a creepy, mysterious undertone, that makes you feel on edge, even though everything around you seems peaceful.

And people say video games aren't art... freaking ridiculous.

  • Merhawk, you sir have excellent tastes.

I can't thank you enough for posting some of the greatest soundtracks in history.

  • Isn't this the sea place?.. God, this place was so awesome.. Just thinking of my childhood makes me want to cry. I miss KOTOR.. I miss when it first came out.

  • i feel happpy because it reminds me of taris, and it makes me sad because it reminds me of taris....

  • @TheMandalorian1000 Earth still contains its beauty, just not in cities.

  • So many memories, both good and bad. There were far too many loading screens on Manaan, but the very detailed environment made it all worth it.

  • Personally this song and the Jedi Academy song are just the best ones, why? The harp...

  • @Supertrooper697 So so so True, These Two are my Favorite

  • Jeremy Soule at his best.

  • @LimeLou Yes,he definitely is . He made best game songs ever . I just wonder if he doing some movie music ?

  • best song of this game . I cry ;( sounds a little like some elder scrolls oblivion song :)

  • This music makes me sad the world wasn't really like Star Wars :(

  • 1 of my favorite kotor songs. It just makes me feel at peace and reminds me of going through the sunry murder trial, investigating the missing selkath and just the peacefulness of the world.

  • this song does demonstrate the parallel between Ahto City and the Citadel (from Mass Effect - another BioWare game) as both are genuinely tranquil with a strange aura of hiding something mysterious and sinister. there are certainly big differences in what they hide (i'm leaving it at that, so as not to spoil it for others) but the similarities are easy to see.

  • @po5010 Have you noticed the world that looks identical to Dantoonie on Mass Effect 2? I forget what it's called, but I was very pleased when I found myself back in Dantoonie. Haha.

I was like, "Where's the Crystal Cave?"

  • @SolidSnake3131 the plante is called horizon, and i agree haha i was like what a blast to the past.

  • such a beatiful place but it just had to be owned by fish heads who sound like theyve been shoving vibroblades down there throats

  • Wrex: Relaxing, peacefull wake me up when this is over.

  • Comment removed

  • Listen to this reminds me of all the fun i had in that game. i would always come to the city to hear that song.

  • 0:00 to 0:22 best parts

  • @Kreitos432 wrong my friend, the best part is from 0:00 to 1:32 :)

  • @FiddyBigOnes I agree sry :D

  • 3 people are insane Selkath

  • @TheDoomstalker you mean 4

  • classic jeremy soule.

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs ever created!! Such an enchanting melody at 48sec till 1:10 :')

  • mannan was probly one of the most anoying planets in the game but the music makes up for it

  • The sea, the port and the fight in the bar. Oh man, it's Manaan.

  • and im sure you can customise them as well one of the professions is scavenging so im sure youll be able to scavenge from lost ships or whatever and add to your own which will be cool

  • i take it all of you here will be playing the old republic mmo? how can you not!? they got lot of planets in ther, and taris even tho its all messed up, i so wanted manaan back tho, the old republic is gonna be fucking awesome, a star wars mmo from bioware, with like 16 planets n ther huge

  • @Brady2k10 Can you have spaceships? :S

  • @K4inan yes class specific so if you say wanted to be a sith warrior you'd get a ship exclusive to the sith warrior, basically bioware said its kotor 345678910 all in one and with expansion they will keep it going for ages they say they had so much more they wanted in the other kotor games but they couldnt get it all in so now they can, check out the site just type in star wars the old republic and see the planets, classes etc. its gonna be awesome

  • @Brady2k10 Does it have an release date :S?

  • @Brady2k10 I know. TOR is going to be a real treat for us KOTOR fans. Will be amazing for everyone else, but we will have it best. :D

  • @XtremeGoose yea i cant wait, im seriously on the website just lookin over developer blogs, watchin videos, lookin at screenshots, reading up on planets, classes etc the one thing i want though is manaan in the game, they got alot of others some known ones like tatooine and hoth, and then some not quite known ones like belsavis and voss, its gonna be awesome tho goin back to taris, but i loved manaan, if they added tht it would make it perfect for me, loved taris and manaan in kotor

  • @Brady2k10 Manaan isn't in TOR, unfortunately. Ahto City was destroyed by the sith in The Great War (The one leading up to the treaty of coruscant). Its a shame, but it is understandable. Not really much more story to be said.

  • it makes me sad that they're not putting manaan into the old republic mmo yet taris and shitty tatooine got in ther, i hate tatooine, i like taris though.

  • Yes, a very Brian Eno-esque track. Maybe not as minimalistic, but the use of sound textures feels similar.

  • YOU ARE BAND FROM MANAAN!!!!!

  • I am a straight mal and this music is my relaxation song. It's so peaceful, just so... Moving. I wish I could live on Manaan. It'd be the best place to live

  • Nothing can beat the wonders of manaan

  • the raw passion that went into this game creates its atmosphere, its a polished brilliantly scripted game that has beautifull music to set off its already amazing amazingness, a 100/100 game for certain
