  • Watching this makes me wish I'd never sold mine, same gun except for Houge grips and Lyman sights.

  • I bought Mod 29 in 1973, it also is a 6.5" barrel. I have shot it six times in it's life. Paid $400 for it. By the way Dirty Harry used a 8 3/8 barrel.

  • pistols are much better than 2 handed rifles and such in my opinion. much fancier and looks awsome in display

  • I have a model 29-2. 8 3/8 in. barrel.I believe they were built in the mid to late 70's. I bought mine in 1978.I have shot several thousand rds. thru it and have never had a problem with it.It is probably my FAVORITE gun that i have!I also reload all my bullets for it.

  • Еб...ть! Та это же Влера!

  • The discoloration on the grip is nothing. That's a nice gun.

  • @floridafyme Thanks

  • I have a four inch model 29 that I like a lot. It was actually the first hand gun I ever bought back in 86. Well made gun and very accurate.

  • (stupid question) is it real?

  • i just love that gun i think its the best looking gun

  • A work of art.

  • Very nice! I just got mine, I love it! Great vid!

  • @TheLocknLoadChannel Thanks and you'll love it for sure.

  • Very nice handgun. Regarding "Dirty Harry": The M29 used in the film WAS the 6.5 inch barrelled version. If you want to confirm it check out the length of the ejector shroud in proportion to the length of the barrel. The 8 3/8 inch version does not look so elegant imho. That was used by De Niro in "Taxi Driver". I think the story of the Model 57 .41 magnum being used is a myth. It is dimensionall exactly the same as an M29 other the the calibre.

  • she's a beaut!

  • Dirty harry used different length barrels for the various promotional posters for the movie :}

  • The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson states that the model 29-2 was manufactured between 1962-1982. In 1982 the pinned barrel and cylinder counterbore was eliminated. Yours is clearly pinned and recessed. You have a very nice revolver there and you got a good deal on it! Great video!

  • like the satan model m29 better

  • very nice weapon sir :)

  • Is this the same barrel length as Dirty Harry had?

  • @StiviGun1 i believe his was a little longer actually.

  • @Kain1003 Do you know what was the barrel length of the gun he used?

  • @StiviGun1 Inspector Callahan's mod.29 was 6.5 inches.

  • @Kain1003 It actually is exactly the one Dirty Harry used.

  • @StiviGun1 He had an 8 3/4 Inch Barrel I believe.

  • @StiviGun1 yes it is 6inch (side note: When they were directing Dirty Harry, a .44 looked to big on camera so they gave Clint Eastwood a .41 magnum to fit him better)

  • :o he stole chris redfield (re5) gun

  • WOW BRO !! OWN SEVERAL 629,S but man thats like the holy grail,, hope u know what u have there congrats and thank you very much for sharing that awesome vintage smith 29,,,im totally stoked!!

  • Isn't that in re5

  • @selipod Indeed it is.

  • @selipod yes, it is, but is with a 10 inch barrel lol

  • who would put a scope on that!? they are perfect the way they are!

  • @OsanBlackCat5RS I completely agree. I would never put a scope on a handgun personally, but that's just me. I guess its good that the previous owner tried to put a scope on this pistol though, because it brought it down to a price range I could afford.

  • @jasonsg4111 Thanks

  • Nice gun, although I prefer with a bigger barrel.

    Just looks cooler for me

  • 29-2s were produced from 1961-1982.

    Very nice.

  • Very nice mine has an 8 and a quarter inch barrel. Chrome finish. And rubbery pachmeir grips.

  • Aren't these out of production?

  • @LamborghiniRevent0n Yes sir.
