  • RIP Edward Hardwicke who passed away on Monday 16th May 2011.

  • The one fixed point in a changing age. Requiescat in pace, Mr Hardwicke.

  • RIP Mr. Hardwicke, there will never be a greater Watson. Never will there be a greater man whom can be throughly relied upon.

  • RIP my Dear Mr. Hardwicke. You will be greatly missed!

  • So sorry to hear that Mr. Hardwicke has left us today. RIP

  • @ghostfanX2 Thank you so much! :) If you send me a pm with your e-mail-address and you have enough capacity on your mail account I can try to send it to you. Or you can download it with one of the newer Realplayer versions...

  • This is a fabulous tribute to Mr. Hardwicke! He was just wonderful as Watson.

I have a letter and signed photograph from in a place of honor on my writing desk...heck, if Dr. Watson can't inspire me, who can?

  • @Silversgrl Thank you so much! Yes, I think he is a true gentleman, in real life as well as as Watson. He autographed photo is hanging on the wall of my writing des as well... :)

  • Absolutely lovely. I wmay waffle just a bit about who is my favorite Holmes, Basil Rathbone, Jeremy Brett or Christopher Plummer, but hands down, Edward Hardwick is my favorite Watson! You did a great job!

  • @ghostfanX2 Thank you very much! :)

  • its my watson.... yes it is

  • OK, I've cudgelled my brains to no avail, where does cravat-ed Watson at 2:24 come from?!

  • @TheDivaMK Believe it or not, I seem to not remember myself... *facepalm*... but I assume it might be from the Master Blackmailer, or at least an episode around that time...

  • @Nunewesen It's from HOUND! After Holmes and Watson get back from breakfast with Sir Henry B. It's just after H tells Watson "I'll be glad to have you safe and sound in Baker Street once more."

  • @TheDivaMK Oh, you're right! Shame on me!!

  • could you pleeeeeeeease send me the music pretty please pretty please

  • You've perfectly checked the most beautiful and moving moments! The way Jeremy and Edward portrayed friendship is dear to my heart!

  • Thank you so much! Yes, the way the two of them bring a warm and gentle quality to this friendship is simply unique...:)

  • Thank you, my dear! :)

  • I showed my husband, Edward Hardwicke, your videos, and he loves them - also very flattered by the comments. My daughter Claire found them........don't know what she was looking for........

  • Thank you, I am truly delighted! :)

  • A nice tribute to a great actor, thank you!!

  • Thank you, I am glad you enjoy it! Yes, isn't he great...

  • at 2.24 which episode is it? I haven't seen it yet i must own it.. I own them all. I was sure I'd seen them all....

  • As far as I remember that's from HOUND... :-)

  • Quite right. Thank you.

  • No, thank YOU. I will look for the George Martin CD. And thanks again for posting this video -- it reminds me again of how excellent Hardwicke is in these. JB has my heart, but there is a certain quiet authority to EH -- look at that assured walk at 25:00 - 35:00 -- that makes him very attractive. Wonderful!

  • Absolutely splendid, Nunewesen. Love it, and it's perfect for Edward. Can you tell me whose version of "Here Comes the Sun" this is? Thanks.

  • Oh, THANK you! This version has been performed by John Williams and is part of the CD "In My Life" by George Martin, the former producer of the Beatles.

  • George Harrison, Jeremy Brett & Edward Hardwicke.. could I ever ask for anything more? 5 stars, great job! By the way, how is your bio going?

  • *smiles* Thank you, glad you like it. I think I should really do a part 3 sometime soon. The guy deserves far more recognition, right!? Oh, and the bio? Thanks for asking. I did have some kind of backlash, but I am on the right track now, I daresay. Anyway, it will take some time to do it properly... :-)

  • I've truly enjoyed this and Edwards work as Watson.

  • Thank you! Yes, he is just "Watson the Great"! :-)

  • OOh, I just loved this! Edward Hardwicke's work has not received enough appreciation, and I thank you for bringing him to the forefront. Very nicely done--my thanks to you.

  • O yes, the dearie is growing on me more and more...
