  • wow this is quite something

  • I had quiet a few Secret Pints before I turned 18.

  • I was there it was and still is amazing. First time I saw them.

  • The thing about being a poor wee man, as myself, is that I can't afford to see Mogwai live this year, unfortunately. That's pretty sad; they're no a band not to see before you die. I first figured I'd listen to their album's to help me get to sleep but I'd always end up listening to the whole thing, before I nodded off. They're a force.

  • what language was that?

  • man i usually like this kind of music but this is lame and it sux

  • @zeitguy311 Try The Bird Ensemble. SO good.

  • Thank you...trip experts !

  • No idea the great Mogwai were in sicko, will have to watch again to listen for them, keep the great tracks coming guys

  • /watch?v=Xt5w4mPyCHI

  • hehehaa... just read some of the art vs music bjohllox. could someone recommend an artist equivalent to the singer 'ROLF HARRIS'??.......

  • absolutely sublime :-)

  • totally beautiful

  • Sick

  • muy buena rola eee xida me recuerda muxas cosas lindas jajaaj

  • hipsters , hipsters everywhere

  • awesome!!!

  • amazing.. mesmerizing... what a great band indeed!

  • The cello isn't out of tune. It's called dissonance.

  • cello out of tune!

  • That´s the way music should always be, awesome!

  • 0:00 Best accent in thee whole woooorld!

  • sooooooooo true!!

  • Comment removed

  • Beauty in distortion...and a cello!

  • ambience of the subconscious!! Brilliant! Brilliant!

  • Very beautiful. You may also like Jakob,God is an Astronaut,65daysof static if you like Mogwai.

  • no..

  • they have toured together. i have no idea how to classify either band's music. 'post-rock' is something i've heard tossed around, but either way, I think I would classify them both in generally the same category. Personally, I'd file them both under "the stuff dreams are made of".

  • How about you just call them both "music".

  • @Morrisseyisdead go fuck yourself.

  • LOL that just made me laugh a lot.

Sigur Rós is a band. They sound quite similar because they both make relatively quiet instrumental rock.

  • @PaulyPlz

You obviously have not heard anything else by this band if you think they're just "quiet instrumental" music. I've seen them in concert, probably one of the loudest shows ever.

  • I've seen Sigur Rós twice and Mogwai once (and have all both bands' studio albums) and can say that yes, at times they are loud, but normally just reflective. Peaks of the Mogwai concert were some of the loudest I've experienced but Sigur Rós only opened up in that fashion by finishing with Untitled 8; other than that they were calmer. I have only seen both bands in large situations though; I'm comparing them to gigs like 65daysofstatic onces which are loud but in a smaller room.

  • ones*

  • buueeeeenooo

  • you have to respect the beauty of it.

  • Very cool!

  • ha ha someone needs a nap , wat did i write?

  • great band

  • i bet seeing them live is magical....

  • Amazing band

  • avangarde

  • what the hell did they say at the beginning.

it was in some kind of strange tongue.

  • "You're watching.... Mogwai.... Fuji Rock festival 2001."

    That's Scottish laddy. :-)

  • Great top band.

  • Ack the feedback hurts my ears... but Mogwai is too good to care about feedback

  • i saw them live and met them this summer.

    it was just too amazing.

  • very deep

  • as far as the whole lighting goes, the discoball-like effect is pretty good! (i know it's a bit random, but hey!)

    great music guys!

  • I wish they would use more strings when they tour. Sounds amazing!

  • i love this song is really nice and CHINGONA

  • a wevo q si kbron!!!! :D

  • Wow, listen to that cello!!

  • by god mogwai's done it again

  • i love the cello part in this ^^

  • can't wait to see them.

  • i like the pace on this performance. They are like radiohead in that way: they play better live. BTW: what are u guys discussing about??? i dont care if anything is art.. i just know what i like and theres nothing anyone can do to change that. period.

  • you are all wrong

  • hahaha you guys are full of yourselves. i agree with brianjonescity, art sucks fat veiny prison cock, good music is good music as a picture is a picture as a painting is a painting etc. art is word for 'art dealers' to use to sell stuff to pretentious rich snobs

  • spot on

  • art dealers artists art dealers artitst those who cant do teach sir u are a teacher learn ur history about proper art music is an art form not sound waves sounds good but theres more to just sound the muscles in them they use to advocate such lovely art every single drop of blood and sweat put into this the thinking and creating its an art form and this piece is a master piece.

  • Carni, what are you talking about? If you are trying to explain art in the form that you're writing in, please follow djdeloris' advice and get some spelling and grammar lessons. Your manner of writing isn't isolated but is sure angers the hell out of me.

  • what you're saying here is way more pretentious than just using the word 'art', you hypocrite.

  • that's foolish, i'm saying is music is MUSIC, you know like a series of notes strung along to create a song. the rest is arbitrary. any discussion there? or are you gonna go into the 'art' lecture. just shut up and listen...and turn it up to you little bitch i like this song.

...and carnicerodeperros, i have NO idea what you're saying sorry, invest in some punctuation and grammar.

  • ever heard of John Cage? Its not pretentious to try to figure out why you like music and sound and why it affects you emotionally. If you play guitar and you like a song you're going to try to understand it and work out how to play it - same goes for the sound of traffic or birds singing or whatever, you cant play it on an instrument, but these things can affect you,so why not try to understand why. Your viewpoint is just inflexible inverted snobbery, and you're not saying anything at all - fail

  • You all deserve each other. Your twatty bickering has ruined what would have been the single greatest page on the internet.

  • twaty. great word. i forgot about that word. great word.

  • 'fraid not man. Read your comment again and think about what you're saying.

    Blessings

  • id call it art.

if i can close my eyes and have a song take over my body, id call it art lol.

    greatgreatgreat band.

  • cock ring

  • True Art. What are pop bands compared to bands like Mogwai and Sigur Rós? Nothing.

They got blown away by the melodies and the feelings of the audience. Post-Rock is the new Art.

  • "True Art". Rubbish. Art is completely in the eye of the beholder. Mogwai is probably like my favourite band but, music is music. Just because something's "pop" doesn't mean it's bad. I mean look at Radiohead! That's all verse chorus verse chorus pop music, but look how amazingly beautiful it is? I mean shit. And besides, post-rock is nothing new, chicketty-check Tortoise out - 1995 man. Everything is art.

  • I totally agree with you it couldn't have been said any better. Plus this is a bad ass song.

  • and I think even before than Tortoise, Bjork has her post-rock/trip hop going on sometimes, and I don't really cathegorize Radiohead in the pop genre, I think they have some pop style sometimes but they're more like an alternative band

either way they're an awesome band...I mean Mogwai...and Radiohead

  • Radiohead is not pop its alternative rock

  • No..Is more experiemental proggressive and..more it's not just Alternative...and hell for all the gold in the world IS NOT FUCKING POP!

  • Who cares what is is?

  • Post Rock?

  • i really miss wowow... damned cable reception they eliminate wowow and subtitute by a non-essenciable network!

  • amazing.

  • great track

  • That's my third comment on that.

Best Mogwai's song. Everytime i listen i can't avoid comment it. Hope to see them live soon

  • ...A R T .

  • you know, everything I think, "ok they can't make it a level more awesome now", these songs come... they are one of the biggest artist in the post-modern world

  • Did my worst...Came in first : )

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

  • Truly dream athmosphere.

    Love Mogway

  • I'm starting to like Mogwai's stuff :) thx for the post!!

  • this song always makes me think of a funeral procession.
