no forget, I am not from Baku, I spent my childhood in Kafan, Armenia, where they had a large azeri community. Zeynab and co with all other "Azeri stars" used to come to sing for azeris in our stadium. I remember climbing over the gates of the stadium with other children without any ticket and having fun at Azeri concerts. Of course I dont remember the songs but I always laughed when orchestra played at least for 30 minutes until the singer began its bayati.

Yes she was, but then Nairuhi Alaverdian was Azerbaijani National artist, an unknown provincial untalented singer...That was USSR's policy. Sofico Chiaureli was Armenian SSR national actess, but she starred in 3 armenian films only, Sos Sarkisyan was Georgian SSR National artist. Lots of Bakunian Armenians were Azeri National Artists. Margarita Shamkarian e g from Samed Vurgun Theater, Adamov etc etc etc

not me sorry and not my mom. There were a lot of Azeris living in Armenia and she was popular among them, some low class people in Armenia did like Azeri music, but not the aristocracy. And of course, soviet national policy made republics award different titles to artists from other republics. Therefore Zeynab was Armenian SSR National Artist.

Its not her singing, I dont even know what kind of song is this, I dont understand a word of it. But her make up (so excessive), her untasty dress, full of stupid color with sick design; give me a break, nobody in USSR dressed like this or had this haircut even by that time. Zeynab and Ilhama are drag queen. And it is not my it is my Azeri friend in NY who kept calling them drag queens.

Man still she was one of the most popular USSR Azeri singers and was famous all over the world as well. She has given concerts almost everywhere on the world from Japan to European countries, Mideast and US. Please dont show your minority-oriented complexes& views here being jealous of her because she is Azeri. This song is from USSR oldies and dress,style,view as well. Nothing strange in this. You are armeninan and have put your armenian comments here, could not expect better one from you.

C.mon boy dont be so childish. I am Armenian but I adore Shovket Alekperova and Rashid Bebutov. I also like Ilhama's and Zeynab's singins. But they are both drag queens, there is nothing we can do. Esp Ilhama-arrogant dumb stupid and tastless. Zaynab is just a rural woman. But for example some other singers were really very elegant- Shovket, Sara kadimova, Byulbyul, FLora Kerimova.

no forget, I am not from Baku, I spent my childhood in Kafan, Armenia, where they had a large azeri community. Zeynab and co with all other "Azeri stars" used to come to sing for azeris in our stadium. I remember climbing over the gates of the stadium with other children without any ticket and having fun at Azeri concerts. Of course I dont remember the songs but I always laughed when orchestra played at least for 30 minutes until the singer began its bayati.

Heart breaks when cant see any azeri surviving in Erivan and when see the hatred&killings from armenian side, though we let our neighbors live here and enjoy the country since we are all human beings.If you like the singings not the style you should have written it before rather humilaiting her,listeners and even your fellow armenians listening her marking them as low class ones. Ok,then tell everybody here why there are still so many armenians living here in Azerbaijan, especially in Baku after everything? Is it We who hates or you guys? It is a pure FACT that you guys are ful of hatreds towards other nations especially to us. There is not a single azeri living in Erivan today, impossible to imagine!

even in soviet time there werent many azeris in Yerevan. Only 5000. But Armenians in Baku were 250000. According to azeris there are 30000 left. They are not even Armenians, turkified people who were either half armenian or whose husband or wife was azeri, they changed their names. I know for example Agnessa who became Nisa and is still in Baku, her husband is azeri.

Of course we hate you now after everything but still we let our neighbours to live here in Baku since they have not done anything bad to us. There can be only dead azeri in erivan today. Our armenians here are ashamed of being the same nation with those living in erivan who used to kill kids, civilians then.

Chekck UN demographic studeis and see the real percentage of other nations in armenia. And then see the neighbouring countries georgia,iran,turkey and azerbaijan how multinatioal and tolerate they are. armenia is almost by 98% pure armenian.

When you give out Talyshstan and Lezgistan you will also become very monoethnic. There are so many countries in the world who are monoethnic, this does not mean anything. yeah that is right, though late unfortunately we came to understand only now that we should hate you our forever enemies and spread it like you guys did it all the time everywhere in the world. Though i think we will again forget about armenian brutalities&hatred as history approved it since we can not keep ages long hatred like minority peoples, e.g.,armenians.If we could keep hating you we would be better off today and there wont be any armenians living here like no azeris in erivan.

First of all pure one nation counties are called monoethinc. We are monoethnic because we have never been en empire. YOu Azeris have Armenian Talysh Lezgi territories included in your country thats why you are "international". Plus Baku oil attracted a lot of Jews(as always), Russian from other parts of Russian Empire. I think until 1945 it was practically impossible to see any Azeri muslims in Baku, that city was all Armenian Russian and Jewish intelligentsia and business city.

Wow till 1945? man you should write history again disfavoring azeris&others and favoring only armenians. There was a Baku Khanate since the late 18th century,oil was not important then, even many years before that it was one of the big cities of Safavid Azerbaijan when the oil was not known for its importance again.

Well I am young enough to talk who lived there. Here i met a lot of former Bakunians russian jewish etc who told me that it was alsmot impossible to see Azeri chushkas in Baku in both Russian Empire and during early soviet times. U appeared there due to Heydar baba. Baku had never been important city in Azerbaijan until the eartquake in Shemakha and oil discovery in late 19 entury. So dont fantacize here.

Well you are also young enough to talk about its history before 19th century, and historical Baku gates,ateshgah temples from thousands year ago and other historical stuff here.Russians,jews,armenians appeared here with russian empire invasion from 1800s and soviets. Go read again!
