  • Very Awesome my friend, i almost like yours better than the original!

  • Beautiful!!!! :))

  • Very Beautiful!! You hit it perfectly!!

Any chance you try to play the Houston 1981 Jonathan Cain solo??

  • You'd have to point me to the video, I'll give it a whiz.

  • beautiful 10000000000%

  • THANK YOU

  • Very soulfull playing!

  • wow!

  • Dude, sounds just like it! Props!

  • Although Jonathan Cain uses two kurzweil micropiano's modules chained together it still sounds just like it

  • Exceptional playing! Nailed it!

  • Excellent work trap0001! very well played indeed...any chance that you could transcribe this piece of music on paper and let us students have a go at it? please!!!!!!

    Thanks in advance!

  • Thanks. I can't transcribe it as I don't read music. I will gladly send you a MIDI file though if you let me have an email addy to send to (some progs can then make the manuscript for you).

  • @trap0001 How on earth can you play that by ear, amazing.

  • To be honest, I think your version is superior to Jon's version :-)

  • LOL! Thanks for that but I doubt it, certainly not when I attempt it live!

  • Hoolllyyyy CRRRAAAPPP! LOVELY!!!!

  • great job

    amazing

  • AMAZING, i need help, is there anyway you could make a tutorial, or midi file, or anything to help me learn Don't Stop Believing just the way Jonathon Cain plays it

  • This is outstanding my friend. Love the sound of that Roland as well.

Your playing has all the polish needed for this piece.

    Dave.

  • wow!!beauty of music....loved it great job!

  • EXCELLENT WORK! BRAVO!! probably the biggest Journey fan here, and keyboard player for ARCH ALLIES, A Journey tribute in MN!! I gotta learn this one!!

  • See that band's vids, you have your own account 'archallies' don't you, sounds excellent. The name is presumably taken from the DVD them three bands made (great stuff). Good luck with the solo - its a bitch!

  • The voicings through this are superb. Your playing makes me want to improve mine, and I've been playing for 47 years.

  • Very Good, Very Good, excelent Job. Pretty close. Congratulation.

  • check out the piano solo by Roy Bittan [bruce springsteen] before the song "spare parts", it's equally twicky, but equally fantastic, otherwise you're playing is quite goodly!

  • great.... many thanks

  • Man...minus a few moments, this is perfectly accurate. Very well done.

  • I meant to saw AWSOME job! LOL

  • Wesome job!

  • holy shit, tutorial!!! NOW!!! that was superb!!

  • This is awesome!!! Your so very talented. Yes. It would be cool to hear you do the Houston 81 solo. I'll keep checkin back for more!!!!

  • Awesome dude, now how about the 85 tour solo?

  • Don't think I'm familiar with that one - perhaps you could direct me to it via a link...?

  • I couldn't find a video for you, but it's on this album: Journey - Live in Houston 1981, The Escape Tour (2005)...yes 1981, I thought it was 1985...my mistake.

  • Ahhh, I know THAT one!

  • Well...let's hear it!

  • Err... ok, check back in about 2 years (that's how long this bugger took me to learn!!!).

  • hi very good i am thinking of buying one, howdoes it compare to an ordiary acoustioc piano which i am used to please

  • SICK !! That was sweet brother.Very nice.

  • beatyfull

  • that was fantastic!

  • Awesome !

  • This is the best ever. i loved that solo. i have the 2001 dvd and they did this solo before open arms. 12.5 outa 10

  • Yep, thats the bugger. That DVD also inspired the forming of our tribute The Essential Journey. Glad you liked it.

  • show off

  • You're welcome.

  • wow ur awesome =D

  • You are fantastic!!!

  • thats rly good. dude journey rocks no question about that...

  • finally someone agrees with me. all of my friend are annoyed because i love journey soooo much

  • No. The reverb you hear was added post production. If I could modify it I'd make it half a ton lighter!

  • how did you record your keyboard into cool edit?

  • Keyboard is connected to a Behringer MX1604 Mixer, the ALT OUT is connected to my PC soundcard line inputs. The soundcard line out goes back to the mixer then the MAIN outputs of the mixer go to the monitor amplifier. Cool Edit is set to record from soundcard LINE IN.

  • oh so u need a mixer and a preamp to record into cool edit?

  • what's the cheapest you can get a mixer and a pre-amp for?

  • Not necessarily - if your keyboard has LINE OUTS (most pro ones do) then you can straight into the LINE IN of your PC soundcard. I only use a mixer because I have several keyboards and modules but only one set of LINE INs on my soundcard.

  • oh i see i got my keyboard line out directly 2 the computer via usb but i couldn't record into cubase or cool edit idk....i'm new 2 cubase and cool edit..lol

  • hi, has your RD300s been modified?

  • Nice work dude!

most impressive and great soul and emotion in your playing

    good work
