Excellent work trap0001! very well played indeed...any chance that you could transcribe this piece of music on paper and let us students have a go at it? please!!!!!!
Thanks. I can't transcribe it as I don't read music. I will gladly send you a MIDI file though if you let me have an email addy to send to (some progs can then make the manuscript for you).
@trap0001 Hey, I don't know if you will get this, but would you be willing to send me the MIDI version of this song? I love it and I would love to be able to play it. Thank you in advance.
AMAZING, i need help, is there anyway you could make a tutorial, or midi file, or anything to help me learn Don't Stop Believing just the way Jonathon Cain plays it
EXCELLENT WORK! BRAVO!! probably the biggest Journey fan here, and keyboard player for ARCH ALLIES, A Journey tribute in MN!! I gotta learn this one!!
See that band's vids, you have your own account 'archallies' don't you, sounds excellent. The name is presumably taken from the DVD them three bands made (great stuff). Good luck with the solo - its a bitch!
check out the piano solo by Roy Bittan [bruce springsteen] before the song "spare parts", it's equally twicky, but equally fantastic, otherwise you're playing is quite goodly!
I couldn't find a video for you, but it's on this album: Journey - Live in Houston 1981, The Escape Tour (2005)...yes 1981, I thought it was 1985...my mistake.
Keyboard is connected to a Behringer MX1604 Mixer, the ALT OUT is connected to my PC soundcard line inputs. The soundcard line out goes back to the mixer then the MAIN outputs of the mixer go to the monitor amplifier. Cool Edit is set to record from soundcard LINE IN.
Not necessarily - if your keyboard has LINE OUTS (most pro ones do) then you can straight into the LINE IN of your PC soundcard. I only use a mixer because I have several keyboards and modules but only one set of LINE INs on my soundcard.
oh i see i got my keyboard line out directly 2 the computer via usb but i couldn't record into cubase or cool edit idk....i'm new 2 cubase and cool edit..lol
WOW!! I thought I was good . You take the blue ribbon with this GREAT JOB!!

No. The reverb you hear was added post production. If I could modify it I'd make it half a ton lighter!
