Try moving the wii remote more slowly to do a perfect hit. It'll kill her even faster and it'll keep the soul gauge up if you do it right so you can keep using it.

well it's never really explained how he does it either. at first you think it's because of the chaos emeralds but then you have Shadow the Hegehog and Sonic unleshed to disprove that since shadow can use his powers without emeralds, sonic can use the same with a fake in SA2, and in unleshed Sonic's power and heart let him control the werehog and turn back to normal.

As for an explanation, it is clearly shown that the emeralds allow the "super" transformation in Sonic the Hedgehog two.

Sonic and Shadow are the controllers of the seven powers then. Why haven't they dove into that plotline yet? it should be an obvious way to do a final game before going with a complete reboot where the other characters can come back but only has Sonic and Robotnik.

Actually I believe the control refers to the master emerald in that line. IMy understanding is that the chaos emeralds merely magnify the power one possess.

yes but that would also imply he'd need the master emerald to control his powers. the emeralds merge with him and awaken his powers.

now I gotta track down the Japanese comic. since the main game series universe is based on that it should be able to explain what I want in story from these games which is how sonic lives in a world where only returning characters are animals and the rest are all human.

Actually the main game series is the main story. The games came before the comics.

The master emerald controls the chaos emeralds.

Shadow can use his powers without an emerald because of his alien blood. Sonic used chaos control in SA2 with a fake emerald that had the "same wavelength and properties" of the Chaos Emeralds. The other abilities displayed by sonic and others are fueled by sources other than the Chaos Emeralds. (abilities that are not granted by Chaos)

yeah but the part that confuses me is Shadow is supposed to be based on Super Sonic as the base for why a hedgehog was chosen as the ultimate lifeform, but if sonic is older than shadow why is he still a teenager? are their other Hedgehogs with this power, so basically amy could do the same if she tried hard?

Time paradox. Shadow was created in the current universe not Mobius. Sonic has been in the series longer, but shadow was in stasis for nearly 50 years. Shadow is older than Sonic.

Technically, anyone could use the power to some extent. Do not forget about Super Knuckles and Super Tails. (Sonic 2 (with debug mode), Sonic 2 and Knuckles, Sonic 3 (with debug mode), Sonic 3 and Knuckles (debug mode is not required))
