John only hears the angel say the number of the 144,000, but when he looks he sees a great multitude that no man can number. The 144,000 and the Great Multitude are the same group. @cornerstone111 As a matter fact, you can read about remnant in Zephaniah 3:13. The rest of the remnant is in Revelation 12. They will see Jesus Christ return at the 2nd Coming & say, "Blessed is He who Comes in the Name of the Lord" & mean it.
Almost everyone believes that the gospel is about the Person of Jesus Christ. Certainly, Christ plays an extremely important and central role to Christianity, but He is “NOT” the gospel. The Bible shows that Jesus is preached in conjunction with the gospel. Again, His role is enormous. But He is not the gospel.

144000 will be alive and present during tribulation and will not suffer the wrath. Where as the multitude which no man can count are the ones who graduates through the suffering/sacrifice during tribulation.
great explanation. it makes sense because the new testament teaches that the only way to have everlasting life is through Christ. the old testament jews didn't know it at the time- their animal sacrifices represented Jesus. @whittle4u You are making the mistake of applying traditional terminology to the bible. The great tribulation came out from is this era we are in which the bible repeatedly calls the tribulation. The use of the word "tribulation" to signify exclusively what the bible describes as the last 7 years before Jesus return is a traditional use of the word, not a biblical one - it helps us have a name for the last 7 years. But biblical text does not impose such a specification to the use of the word

i got a question if the 144000 are of the 12 tribes of Israel how is Abraham Isaac Jacob included since they are not in the Tribes of Israel. if they are resurrected. that if both Revelation 7 and 14 are talking about the same group.
@benelijah12 Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are in heaven right now. Abraham was chosen by God to birth Israel - a separate people. He begun the Judaic covenant. He began tithing, circumcision of his sons, intercession of the priest (Melchizedek) etc and then he passed it to his offspring, birthing a generation under the covenant.
Also, the 144,000 as well as cumulative Old testament saints do not only include Jews. Even in the OT, there were gentile converts

For instance, it isn't 144,000 Jews. They are from all the tribes of Israel, not just the House of Judah. Not all Israelites are Jews (Judahites). The House of Jacob are not 'Jews'. Only the descendants of Judah and the House named for him are.
NIne of The Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel are not Jews. So, to say '144,000 Jews' is an error.

The other 10 tribes, the 'lost ten tribes' are not Jews, but are called Jacobites, since they belong the the House of Jacob/Israel (Jacob's name was changed to Israel, as you know). Since the Jacobites has been taken into captivity at the time Jesus appeared, there were only Judahites, Jews, left in Judea.

Also, how did the devout Israelites keep the commandments while the others where not able to? Are the 144000 MOSTLY made up of Foreign Converts and exile Jews who couldn't fulfill the Law/Sacrifices because they had no temple? Also did the devout Jews go straight to heaven when they died or did they wait in until Christ resurrected? Lastly: How/why are the 144000 sealed in heaven? Is it purely symbolic? Who are the ones sealed on their foreheads later during the Tribulation to protect them?
The 144k includes those who served God before the Abrahamic covenant, those worldwide who served God during Judaism but didn't know the covenant OR kept it partially, and faithful Jews during times of exile, as well as many Jews & immigrants who lived in the years close to Jesus birth when Jewish culture had compromised aspects of the law. Salvation of the 144k was always in God's plan. But God needed a select people to keep the full law in order to allow salvation for us all & Jesus' atonement
#2 There are also ppl worldwide who dont know Christianity but are open & contrite enough to receive revelation from God. He reveals Himself to them & they are saved (remember Balaam and the wise men). But the multitudes who worship another god or other gods are not saved. The Old Tst saints didnt go to heaven when they died. The law connected them to the covenant in Jesus blood. If Jesus did not later come, none of them will be saved either. There were however few people (Moses, Elijah)
3...who were "raptured" to heaven & kept alive there awaiting Jesus coming. When Jesus died, dead devout Jews who kept the core of the law went to heaven & those of them who died recently were raised on earth as a sign of the resurrection promise fulfilled. They didnt wait for Jesus to rise.The 144k are sealed for heaven: marked for separation from the rest of the dead people who did not awake when Jesus died; they are raised to glory. The latter sealed in Rev 9:4 are the trib believers
Before Jesus died where did dead Devout Jews remain before going to heaven? Where are the dead 144,000 now before they are raised. Where are the sinners now who have died and are to be judged? Hell?
So the 144000 are they sealed in Heaven after being raised first. When John sees them they are already in Heaven sealed but BEFORE being raised from the grave? how is that possible? Who are they marked for separation from because the dead who didnt awake when Jesus died are obviously not in heaven.
B4 Jesus came ALL who died went into the grave: a state of being asleep (unconscious), knowing nothing.When Jesus died many saints came back to life in heaven.Right now both the 144000 & the OT sinners are "asleep". But the 144000 will be separated from the rest of the OT dead who are asleep and they will be resurrected in heaven just b4 the rapture. Dead OT sinners are still asleep in the grave but will be resurrected much later & sent to the lake of fire which I explain in the chapter 20 video
After Jesus died things changed: people who die now go to heaven or hell (sheol, hades) right away. Sinners who died in the era of grace are in hell right now. In Rev 7, when the angel said to seal the 144,000, they were sealed first, then they were resurrected & taken to heaven right away joined by the raptured saints. John hears them being sealed (verses 3-4) and then afterward he sees them and the raptured saints together in heaven (verse 9)
ahhhh ok. No wonder Jesus talks about hell so much but the OT never really mentions it. So sinners/no christians who die now go to hades and are resurrected and put into the lake of fire with the rest of the OT saints who are not the 144000 and dont get raptured. I think it makes sense now. Thanks
So basically the 144, 000 are saved by their works/Faith in God, but ONLY because Christ gives them a helping hand. You say those that practiced monotheistic religions before abraham are saved also but what about those in Asia, Africa or Native America who were practicing similar religions DURING and AFTER Abrahamic religion began Judiasm was known or even before Christianity spread. Are they also saved and part of the 144,000 because they didnt know of Judaism or Christianity couldnt convert?
Scriptures teach that those who receive Salvation are saved by Christ's Life, and are justified by His Blood. Many teach that Salvation is through Christ's Blood.
Read the scriptures and allow the Bible to interpret itself.
im sorry but this debate is pointless. Christ shed His blood = Christ died/Christ gave His life. We are saved by Christ's blood is a figure of speech that states we are saved by Christ's offering of His life. After all, Lev 17:14
says the life is in the blood and Deuteronomy 12:23 says that the blood is the life, but people always find things to argue about in order exalt themselves as theological experts. I'm saying no more cause this dissension is one that is not even worthy of debating
Let's narrow this down shall we? Whoever the 144,000 are - the Bible teaches that they will come out of the TRUE CHURCH. Read Revelation: it teaches that there are Two Churches - One is the True Church built by the Lord Jesus Christ, (the little flock) and the other is the Great False Church. The Bible does not teach that the 144,000 are Evangelical Jews.
Obviously i've read Revelation since i have an entire series on it :) I wonder why it is so common for people to say "the bible says..." when what they really mean is "My interpretation of what the bible says is..." since the bible cannot be quoted as having said the things claimed

The Bible teaches that people are saved by Christ's life, not His blood. It also teaches that those people are "justified" by His blood, not saved by it.
The bible does teach that we are justified and saved by Christ's blood and by the offering of His life. It also teaches that the life of a thing is in the blood.

I noticed that Rev 14:3, desribes the 144,000 as being redeemed from the earhht, and this happens to be yet another confirmation of what God showed me the about the 144,000. I looked up the word earth and there is no other mention to a concept of anyone or anything being redeemed or saved from the earth throughout the entire bible, except in Rev 14:3, talking about the 144,000!
I don't know... I believe that the 144,000 are here on Earth now, alive and well. They are not saved now but during tribulation will come to Christ and He will seal them with names on their foreheads so that no one can harm them and they will start a great awakening so many will be saved before the second coming.
God will indeed find as many people as are open to Him all over the world and draw them unto a knowledge of Him during the trib and then use them to start a great awakening as well as protect them from being killed ofr a while. Those people are who the 2 witnesses in Rev represent.
I don't know that the number of people represented by the 144,000 in Revelation are literally 144,000 in number. I would hope they are a lot more. But I know that the people represented by the 144,000 do not include ALL of those who "died in Christ", not even all of the Old Testament saints.

In Revelation "one hour" is used multiple times to represent a pre-designated, relatively short period of time that has been determined by God, instead of one literal hour. Notice how Paul uses alive AND remain (1 Thess 4:17). Alive means those who are alive, but that also includes so many "dead" saints because believers who die after Jesus' work on Calvary are alive in heaven. Hence they are still alive. But to distinguish them from those who are on earth at the time of the rapture, Paul describes the latter as those who are both alive and remain on earth. John only hears the angel say the number of the 144,000, but when he looks he sees a great multitude that no man can number. The 144,000 and the Great Multitude are the same group. Revelation was sent and SIGNIFIED by the angel unto the servant John. Everything the angels says is symbolic.What John hears and what he sees through Rev are always different, but mean the same. The Bible shows that Jesus is preached in conjunction with the gospel. Again, His role is enormous. But He is not the gospel.

great explanation. it makes sense because the new testament teaches that the only way to have everlasting life is through Christ. the old testament jews didn't know it at the time- their animal sacrifices represented Jesus. So the ones that kept the faith will be resurrected at the rapture. Thanks for the explanation!

@whittle4u You are making the mistake of applying traditional terminology to the bible. The great tribulation came out from is this era we are in which the bible repeatedly calls the tribulation. The use of the word "tribulation" to signify exclusively what the bible describes as the last 7 years before Jesus return is a traditional use of the word, not a biblical one - it helps us have a name for the last 7 years. But biblical text does not impose such a specification to the use of the word

@benelijah12 Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are in heaven right now. Abraham was chosen by God to birth Israel - a separate people. He begun the Judaic covenant. He began tithing, circumcision of his sons, intercession of the priest (Melchizedek) etc and then he passed it to his offspring, birthing a generation under the covenant.
Also, the 144,000 as well as cumulative Old testament saints do not only include Jews. Even in the OT, there were gentile converts

You speak critically about the error of others, yet your own errors are obvious.
For instance, it isn't 144,000 Jews. They are from all the tribes of Israel, not just the House of Judah. Not all Israelites are Jews (Judahites). The House of Jacob are not 'Jews'. Only the descendants of Judah and the House named for him are.
NIne of The Lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel are not Jews. So, to say '144,000 Jews' is an error.

@benelijah12 I haven't forgotten anyone. The tribes of Judah are Judah, Levi, and Benjamin. The other 10 tribes, the 'lost ten tribes' are not Jews, but are called Jacobites, since they belong the the House of Jacob/Israel (Jacob's name was changed to Israel, as you know). Since the Jacobites has been taken into captivity at the time Jesus appeared, there were only Judahites, Jews, left in Judea.

Are the 144000 MOSTLY made up of Foreign Converts and exile Jews who couldn't fulfill the Law/Sacrifices because they had no temple? Also did the devout Jews go straight to heaven when they died or did they wait in until Christ resurrected? Lastly: How/why are the 144000 sealed in heaven? Is it purely symbolic? The 144k includes those who served God before the Abrahamic covenant, those worldwide who served God during Judaism but didn't know the covenant OR kept it partially, and faithful Jews during times of exile, as well as many Jews & immigrants who lived in the years close to Jesus birth when Jewish culture had compromised aspects of the law. Salvation of the 144k was always in God's plan. But God needed a select people to keep the full law in order to allow salvation for us all & Jesus' atonement

Before Jesus died where did dead Devout Jews remain before going to heaven? Where are the dead 144,000 now before they are raised. Where are the sinners now who have died and are to be judged? Hell?
So the 144000 are they sealed in Heaven after being raised first. When John sees them they are already in Heaven sealed but BEFORE being raised from the grave? how is that possible? Who are they marked for separation from because the dead who didnt awake when Jesus died are obviously not in heaven.

B4 Jesus came ALL who died went into the grave: a state of being asleep (unconscious), knowing nothing.When Jesus died many saints came back to life in heaven.Right now both the 144000 & the OT sinners are "asleep". But the 144000 will be separated from the rest of the OT dead who are asleep and they will be resurrected in heaven just b4 the rapture. Dead OT sinners are still asleep in the grave but will be resurrected much later & sent to the lake of fire which I explain in the chapter 20 video

After Jesus died things changed: people who die now go to heaven or hell (sheol, hades) right away. Sinners who died in the era of grace are in hell right now. In Rev 7, when the angel said to seal the 144,000, they were sealed first, then they were resurrected & taken to heaven right away joined by the raptured saints. John hears them being sealed (verses 3-4) and then afterward he sees them and the raptured saints together in heaven (verse 9)

ahhhh ok. No wonder Jesus talks about hell so much but the OT never really mentions it. So sinners/no christians who die now go to hades and are resurrected and put into the lake of fire with the rest of the OT saints who are not the 144000 and dont get raptured. I think it makes sense now. Thanks

You say those that practiced monotheistic religions before abraham are saved also but what about those in Asia, Africa or Native America who were practicing similar religions DURING and AFTER Abrahamic religion began Judiasm was known or even before Christianity spread. Are they also saved and part of the 144,000 because they didnt know of Judaism or Christianity couldnt convert?

Scriptures teach that those who receive Salvation are saved by Christ's Life, and are justified by His Blood. Many teach that Salvation is through Christ's Blood.

im sorry but this debate is pointless. Christ shed His blood = Christ died/Christ gave His life. We are saved by Christ's blood is a figure of speech that states we are saved by Christ's offering of His life. After all, Lev 17:14
says the life is in the blood and Deuteronomy 12:23 says that the blood is the life, but people always find things to argue about in order exalt themselves as theological experts. I'm saying no more cause this dissension is one that is not even worthy of debating

Let's narrow this down shall we? Whoever the 144,000 are - the Bible teaches that they will come out of the TRUE CHURCH. Read Revelation: it teaches that there are Two Churches - One is the True Church built by the Lord Jesus Christ, (the little flock) and the other is the Great False Church. The Bible does not teach that the 144,000 are Evangelical Jews.

Please be wise people. Have your beliefs in your heart and ponder the mysteries but take care not to become snared by the mysteries. You see if we become distracted on wild goose chases , as the saying goes, we are effectively disabled from declaring the Gospel. It is more important that the Gospel is declared and people understand what salvation is and why we need it. I noticed that Rev 14:3, desribes the 144,000 as being redeemed from the earhht, and this happens to be yet another confirmation of what God showed me the about the 144,000. I looked up the word earth and there is no other mention to a concept of anyone or anything being redeemed or saved from the earth throughout the entire bible, except in Rev 14:3, talking about the 144,000!

I don't know... I believe that the 144,000 are here on Earth now, alive and well. They are not saved now but during tribulation will come to Christ and He will seal them with names on their foreheads so that no one can harm them and they will start a great awakening so many will be saved before the second coming.

I don't know that the number of people represented by the 144,000 in Revelation are literally 144,000 in number. I would hope they are a lot more. But I know that the people represented by the 144,000 do not include ALL of those who "died in Christ", not even all of the Old Testament saints.

In Revelation "one hour" is used multiple times to represent a pre-designated, relatively short period of time that has been determined by God, instead of one literal hour. i dont know about that... ;the bible is an open book such that a child can understand it. as for the 144k, we are all the dead in Christ if we are saved and our life is hid in His. unless i am mistaken, the 144k are the first fruits unto the Lord, and if that is true, they are those who were resurrected when the Lord resurrected, the gospel says many came out of the graves, went into the city and witnessed to others. that would make it 2 errors in your teaching.(the other is in another comment)

144,000: They are of the tribes of Israel, 12,000 of each tribe (verse 4), who are set apart from the rest of humanity (see Ezekiel 9:3-10 for a similar occurrence). In Galatians 6:16, the church is called "the Israel of God," so this separation into "tribes of the children of Israel" may be a spiritual designation rather than physical lineage.

Notice how Paul uses alive AND remain (1 Thess 4:17). Alive means those who are alive, but that also includes so many "dead" saints because believers who die after Jesus' work on Calvary are alive in heaven. Hence they are still alive. But to distinguish them from those who are on earth at the time of the rapture, Paul describes the latter as those who are both alive and remain on earth. I have an interesting commentary to the right of the video.

Because the 1st saints who were resurrected where Jews linked to Jesus blood by the OT covenant, they became the firstborn of the resurrected. Because Abraham was the father of the OT covenant, the heavenly kingdom prepared for the saints has been called Abraham's bossom. Note that OT saints didnt wait in Abrahams bossom. They were dead & knew nothing until Jesus died. In fact, "Abraham's bossom" is the exact same heaven of today. Remember when Samuel's soul was resurrected by God cause of Saul?

... Samuel was in a state of being asleep then; but now he is in heaven. Note that the 144,000 are not just OT jews who could not keep lesser requirements of the OT law: they had to have been devoted and faithful to God to have a hold on salvation. The 144,000 also includes non-Jewish converts.

My statement is not about christians it is TOWARDS he TEACHERS of ERROR. Truth is based on the ORACLES of GOD which Christ pointed to as the Jewish texts. True teaching WILL lead beleivers to MANIFEST as Children of GOD (THY KINGDOM COME) not get caught up in a fire/escape FALSE theology invented by FALSE TEACHER - Who will have the greater judgement.

Based on your own judgement of what a false teacher is, YOU are a false teacher! Teachers are not expected to get everything right but they are expected to teach the plain fundamental truths. You are talking as if teachers or preachers become angels just because they are saved. You said that if a teacher doesnt get it 100% right, he goes to hell. This is the purpose for the true HOLY SPIRIT to allow the beleiver to DISCERN the Spirit of error. The 144,000 are those spoken of by Christ in the Parable - "WHAT YOU DID TO THE LEAST OF THESE MY BRETHREN YOU DOD TO ME." They manifest in humanity with the message of THE TRUE GOSPEL and are dissed by all those who refuse the SPIRIT of TRUTH. They are they who by whom all will cause their own judgement(or slavation) to manifest.

There are many Christians who do not realize that the rapture is true. But they are true to what they know and I love them for that. But when self-righteous mansionmaker comes yelling that Christians who KNOW the truth of the rapture are Satan's children & will burn in hell, that I don't take kindly to. No one asked your opinion. I am ONLY interested in GOD'S. Go to videos that will entice your ears! But guard your heart because your attitude could cause you to be the one who's in danger of hell
