In Poland you must learn how to drive in a state-licensed school, not with parents or friends etc. And these cars are also special, because the instructor has his own clutch and brake pedal. That's why they go to real traffic.

I think the same: better to explain and to do more exercise on some routine track before entering in the traffic. And also i think, better for both to pay a little more for fuel than a few accidents because of losing car control so it would be healthy to show on a routine track, how the car reacts when you push the throttle or the brake in a curve. The instructors aren't wearing seatbelts. They must have a maneuver room to catch the driving wheel if needed. Seatbelt would stop them.
