  • The girl is lookin like what... I am so ready to hang with my friends mom

  • Glad I'm not allergic I was stung when I was 3 my brother too

  • is the mom the bee or am i missing something here

  • You shouldnt give a child under 16 asprin...

  • Carrying a bee sting kit is kind of scary, b/c you never know who's going to know how to use it, in order to help if you pass out before you yourself can use it.

  • didnt she put the stinger in the cut

  • im alergic to bees

  • what there saying to do to get the stinger out is to go get a credit card to get it out??? just flick it off

  • @Christopher2398

NOPE! YOU JUST GAVE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ADVISE!!!

The flick could drive more bee venom into the affected area. Always use a scraping motion.

Maybe in future videos you should advise the viewers about the signs of an anaphylactic reaction.

Also, discussion of pseudo-anaphylaxis and true-anaphylaxis. Just a suggestion.

  • @cbarsonfire ok there buddy, slow it down... lol

  • the girl is cute

  • I got stung this morning while on my way to school. I just yanked the stinger off and went on, and the pain receded in about an 10 minutes and was completely gone in an hour.

  • oh wowww a bee sting looks like ur gonna die soon ohhhhhh well tough luck

  • I'm allergic to bees too. And I'm allergic to aspirin.

And all you have to do ask the parent if the child is allergic to aspirin. Nearly very parent alive will know by the time their child is 5 years old if he or she has had a previous allergic reaction to OTC pain medicine.

I work in health care. It's never gone wrong asking in the past, and they've always known whether their child is allergic by that age.

  • why resort to using drugs like asprin which are expensive and just use baking soda and vinegar (vinegar is very effective for a wasp sting gets rid of the pain fast)

  • wasnt that the bowl that had the bee sting in it?

  • Im allergic and i stepped on a bee. I cant move 3 of my toes... Ita swullon and hard =[

  • Credit cards? Aspirin? Spoons? What the heck!!!

Use some tobacco to put on the sting before and after the stinger is out to get some of the venom out

Use tweezers to get the stinger out

Use a water/baking soda paste to apply to sting and keep elevated.

Trust me, I've been stung around 4 times within the past 6 years and I've used this every time. A cold compress would work too, to keep swelling down.

  • did you actually have that poor girl sting herself for the video

  • I was stung by a bee and it wasn't pretty.

  • @mermaidamp I feel sorry for the bee because it died :(

  • In all these videos it seems like the lady doesn't know what she's saying...

  • i wish bees didnt sting ppl and just make honey

  • i'm about to get stung here and i really need help. any of you know how to scare bees away?? they're really big bees, not those tiny ones... there's two in my house and a hive with maybe 50 to 60 in there behind my house.... HELP!!

  • okay?! umm... just stay calm. if you do get stung just follow thoes instructions... yes I know this is delayed that was just as an FYI

  • ok i got stung by a bee today an when i tried to remove it, i didnt see anything. does that me its gone?

  • It's means the stinger never attached

  • man i hate my room just cuz flies and now bees come in all the time and this week ive been stung by a bee on my leg and then near my armpit OMG the only reason i like freak out it cuz my mom sed that the stinger is poisonous but both times there was no stinger and she just rubbed it with salt so the bump goes down and the pain goes away soon

  • What would happen if I didn't try to remove the stinger? Because it looked like it wasn't there and i didn't have a card on me...

  • u will probably get an infection.

and then u will have to go to a doctor.

    eww

  • yeh same dittto... i could see the stinger when my mom got stung... so we just washed it (with alcohol) and put polyporin on it...

  • You should get it out immediately. Just in case the venom sac all of a sudden does puntcure.

  • You would also get a possible infection as well.

  • hey if u r allergic to bees and u get stung by1 or more can u die from it

  • If you are severely allergic, then yes. For example your airway passage may swell and become inflammed. Which in turn, would block airflow to the lungs.

  • It depends on how severe your allergies are. If they are severe enough, (Anaphylaxis,) then yes you can die within minutes. However, one can buy what is called an EpiPen which will administer 1 dose of Epinephrine (hormone-aadreniline) which will help you. I suggest buying the Twinject auto-injectors because then you have two separate doses of Epinephrine just in case the first initial dose doesn't work.

  • how do you know soooo much? are you a medic, emt, etc.??

  • lol, um, I'm an Advanced Medical First Responder. I been doing first aid for 8 years and I am about to start college to train as a Primary Care Paramedic and maybe even one day become an Advanced Care Paramedic so I can work on the Advanced Life Support Unit.

  • ALS is a fun vehicle. I only know that from my parents. That's very cool. One of these days I think I'm going to take EMT class. Soon I'm only 16 but here you can get your certs at 16 but can't run calls until 18. I will adventully. very nervous.

  • Ya, I can take my PCP course at 17, but our ambulance service won't hire until 19.

If I can give you some advice for your EMT class, one of the best subjects to know, is biology and cell formation. That sort of thing. I bet you'll do great.

  • I was NEVER good at cells. I remember in 5th grade learning cells and looking at my science teacher like she had a 3rd eye. I auctully have a few emts and medics encouraging me, I keep telling them that it'll happen when I'm ready.

  • ya, stick with it, and don't let people talk you out of it. Also if you can, you should try to get out on some ride-alongs if you haven't done so, with some experienced EMT's. It's a great learning tool to see if you are able to handle the stress of the job.

  • I'll call the dept tomorrow and see. they might or might not. I have been such a lil EMT since I was about 10 or 11. Boy I remember thoes days when I thought the years like this would never come.

  • lol, likewise. I remember when I was like 4, I was always pretending to be a police officer, firefighter or paramedic. Then, I just choose paramedic. I love every aspect of that career.

  • lol. I was going to be a police officer until I learned that you get a lot of time with them when you're a medic.

  • ya you do. It's kind of cool though. Cuzz they usually always work the same shift, so you get to know them really well and form a great work relationship.

  • I remember when my mom was preggy with me. (well I have heard stories) like once it was a day in July and they were doing search and rescue. one of the officers made her drink a bottle an hour. message me back and I'll write details. not enough characters.

  • im scared of bee thank god i never got stung by 1 but they buzz in ur ear i hate that

  • thanks my son just got stung by a bee..hehe

  • i got stung by a bee around 12am and the next morning a have red bumps on my back what does dat mean

  • It is most likely a form of an allergic reaction. Did you get stung on your back?

  • meat tenderizer!!!!!!!

lmao obviously she would be using meat tenderizer look at her

  • I'm severely allergic to aspirin, but I don't know if having its paste on your skin is akin to ingesting one with a glass of water.

I don't like to take chances though, so I used to use baking soda as my mom did when I was young.

Now I'm allergic to bees and carry an Epi-pen.

BTW there's no truth in that phrase, 'They'll leave you alone if you ignore them.'

Every time I got stung, I thought I was ignoring the little pests.

    Apparently they disagreed. : /

  • My Paramedic friend told me not to put aspirin on my skin if I'm allergic to it.

He said a lot of stuff after that which I didn't understand, but I do know what 'don't put it on your skin means.'

It's irrelevant in the case of bee stings for me, but I thought I could use it to stop the pain of other bites.

I'll have to stick with baking soda.

  • Ya, he is right, you shouldn't put it on your skin if your allergic.

  • deal with the pain? or try a deferent thing

  • dude juss take a sharp knife and run it over the place u got stunk like the credit card she used, than put mud on it, wait till it cakes(dries) than take it off.

p.s. for the mud part u dont have to go over it with a knife...

lots of countries use different things, its actually relle cool to read soem of them(i.e. maek willow bark tea for asprin/advil..)painkiller..

  • Wow, Aspirin and meat tenderizer, both things that are NOT recommended anymore, if I'm not mistaken. Expert Village, what a joke.

  • like my grndpa does me old style chewing tobacco knocks it out immediatly

  • Finally, I DO NOT RECOMMEND using ANY form of MEDICATION (Acetaminophen,) as the patient could be allergic. ONLY use medication if you have been trained in medication administration by a certfied instructor, or if the patient is your own child.

  • Also the first aid attendant could also do a modified primary assessment. She could also get a brief/ modified history from the patient if it's not her child-- relevant medical history- list of allergies and medications if any.(SAMPLE) & (PRESLOC)

Ask me if you don't know what (SAMPLE & PRESLOC,) mean.

  • Sting stop/ a sting prep pad works great too.

  • I will try that right now. I just got stung about a half hour ago.

  • mud works too

  • the girls fine, shes acting, how can you record a bee sting weh nyou just got one, what if you dont got a camera? also, bee stings are nothing, snake and jellyfish are serious. YOU FAIL

  • Actually, you are right that a jellyfish sting, and snake bites are quite a serious nature. However, a bee sting can be quite serious aswell. For example, if the patient was allergic to bees, than depending on how severe the patients allergies were, the patient could go into anaphylactic shock.

  • Oh snap. I feel retarded. Sorry about that last comment friends. And thank you for your comment.

  • the eazy-est way to take really good care of the sting is to simply take like a man u fags

  • Expert village my a**. Your doing a clip on BASIC first aid and you're telling people to use aspirin!! What you really should do after you brush the sting off you should raise affected part when possible and apply ice pack/cold compress against affected area for 10min(remember no direct ice should be put on skin. If pain and swelling persist see doctor.

  • that woman always looks like she is discusted

  • Use acethaminophen (Tylenol) instead of aspirin because of possible allergies.

Just make it wet and put it on the sting.

  • Some people are allergic to Tylenol - I know I am. Some people are also highly allergic to bee stings, too. It's a dire emergency if I am stung by a bee - VERY serious! I am allergic to aspirin, too! :(

  • Don't use aspirin if you're one of the many who are allergic to it like me.

  • i would suggest for a quicker method to use hot water. pain is reduced by heaps.

  • dam, the credit card thing luks painful to me!

  • i got Sting today

  • that chick is hot, the one on the left of course.

  • that girl is fine

  • Thanks for the tips but what happens if the swelling is over 6 inches long?

  • then it's probably infected if it's over six inches long. See a doctor

  • A little too late for that because the swelling already gone.

  • my bad

  • good tips. you can also use meat tenderizer on jelly fish stings.

  • interesting

  • yeah you can also use chewed up chewing tobacco. or tape a penny over it.

  • tape a penny over it? What does that do?

  • apparently the minerals counteract the venom sack and pull it up or drain it away.

  • @maarakailet1 - from what I have read, something to do with the copper concentration in the penny, will supposedly help reduce the swelling. However I do not reccomend this seeing as millions of people, some who have communable disease, touch the pennies. You don't want to contaminate the wound anymore.

  • Thats right, use a penny. Millions of people touch them and your going to tape it over a sting. Excellent, you have now just contaminated the area.

  • now I what to get sting to try it out!

  • good job
