@Frequent2001 So what? In case you don't know, bajiquan's first practitioner was a Muslim, and Virtua Fighter was the first 3D fighting game to introduce bajiquan to gamers and martial artists.
I agree, because it's trditional chinese m-a. It's how they've been taught and it's how they are doing their demos. It would be interesting to see application in real life. You can go watch this guy video ' whatisyournameya ', he's been my teacher for few month. I had to quit cause i moved but he's a really good teacher, if you watch his chen tai chi application, very nice !!!
Demonstrations like this show technical ideas but they don't show the speed & power generated. It's not the technique that is devastating but the power. So, it doesn't matter what the response would be to a good left-right combo. The training in this art form was designed to generate a tremendous amount of power from many areas of the body against your opponent's soft or vital parts. Demos only show possible movements and forms which mean little without the necessary speed & power.
@Bemap30 watch the movements of the tekken character "Wang" the old guy
then youll clearly see some real life applications however if you want to ill soon upload some videos on my channel that will show movements inspired by the principles that style is based on
it's hard to explain how internal arts work. What would happen in real life aggression with a left-right combination is that he probably avoid the hit first and then strike vital point or put his opponent out of balance. Sounds simple but you should experience it first to understand the real feeling of it.
look.from what i know about h-yi,it's a very devestating art. it has a history.i'm just arguing, that in demonstrations,at least here, the simulated attacks are way too unrealistic.M.A.s in general, get a bad rap, because of the false sense of security derived from working out with same-style practitioners, which tends to impress the uninformed.of course, NO demo is FIGHTING,but i think we'd all be better served if they were presented more realistically,w/less flowery, and more "real" applications.
it is supposedly one of the nastiest martial arts in china using shoulder elbow and head blows . would like to see one master take on say shoot fighter expert or bjj or muay thai.
in my opinion all of the 'internal' arts (pure chinese) are underrated. there is much more to them than health benefits. the rules would dictate much of who wins the fights you mentioned. with no rules...an eye gouge to any one of them and the fights probably over. its all about who gets to that critical point first.
It's interesting you mention that. Think about how that movement was discovered, how someone hundreds, perhaps thousands of years ago found that a motion such as that could be used in a variety of ways in a conflict. When you look at all that, the possibility that it was discovered during a plain activity such as raking becomes great.
very dangerous movemnts!

Virtua Fighter needs to add this and more Chinese Muslim martial arts since they only have bajiquan.

@6arcsn1sky bajiquan and this has nothing to do with muslims.

True, also, the dead or alive character "Gen Fu" utilizes this style as well.

why don't these guys like to show their technique against a good, left-right combination?

Why do you watch this if your not interested?
Bemap30 2 years ago
who said i wasn't interested? if anything, my question speaks to a curiosity of this art and its applications in real life situations.

Wouyld be intresting alot of teqnicues can be learned from these styles. Shoot fighting an bjj is a bit to much "cage fighting" though.
