  • 3:50-4:15 like a boss :O

  • The last minute or so he was just like... screw you Paganini, I'm better.

  • What he does from 0:30 to 0:50 is just amazing. What amazing technique and bow control. It seems as though his bow is bouncing without any visible motion from the arm or wrist. And the left hand pizzicato what power, only masters can project that to the ends of the hall.

  • 10 people don't know what that is he is holding...so sad.

  • I'm jelly of his skillz...Awesome performance!

  • nine people bribed by beiber

  • By no doubt the best violinist ever.

  • Heifetz is great but paganini is awesoooome

  • no, i think 9 people want to be mentioned in the top comments...

  • And, Brooks Smith was his incomparable accompanist!

  • No one could approach Heifetz technically or musically. I admired him very much. RIP, greatest master of the violin!

  • 12 hour of practice OMG i wanna be Heifetz .....

  • The foundation of metal! Remarkable

  • He isn't even trying...

  • 6 haters and counting.

    ~

6 people & counting watched the video totally enjoyed it, then hit the dislike button because Haters gonna hate, they can't help it. The world needs haters because, you can't realize how great you are until you realize you're so good, you've made people forfeit part of their own life to try and fail at bringing you down.

  • otimo!! adoroo! oyeah!

  • this is the best

  • Yes ... Paganini one of my favorites

  • The piece is truly a Caprice - hysterical and havoc-ish. But it coming from the genius and played by his equal, makes it divine harmony ;)))

  • OMG!! Words can barely describe it. Magnificent.

  • Damn. Even God and Chuck Norris took a timeout to watch this video...

  • The guy that "threw" this together is the grandfather teacher of all violin virtuosos of the 20th and 21st centuries lol.

  • He was a student of the man who arranged this piece. :)

  • Amazing!!!!

  • Master!!!

  • bravo!

  • It's so great it made me miss my bus to school =/

    Gracias.

  • Shut up, Mr.Piano. We want to hear Heifetz, not you.

  • LOLOL TURN ON CLOSED CAPTIONS AND WAIT TILL 4:06 WTF XD

  • the piano addition is unnecessary and distracting

  • awesome performance but i must say that i've always thought that this piece sounds thrown together.

  • @heeerro yeah thrown together in the most masterful way :)

  • INCREDIBILE !! Il miglior violinista di tutti i tempi....

  • FREE BIRD!

  • That was some crazy violin playing. I like it better with guitar behind it, piano is more of a lead instrument.

  • Anyone knows where I can get the 24 caprice of Paganini? I'm just...surprised of his talent...I am just recently listening to his music.

  • @BloodWritter14 have you tried looking on IMSLP? They have a lot of free sheet music and this will probably be there.

  • *jaw drops* that's some.... unbelievable intonation!

  • @funkycatglasses01

    on freeviolinmusic com

  • Unbelievable.

  • lol 3 dislikes, how people can dislike the substandard; keep a man wondering how many idots walk this planet ?

  • that pianist needs to get out. this sounds way better with just violin.

  • Is that the Guarneri he owned?

  • best performance Ive ever heard

  • I wonder what people thought when they first heard this.

  • one of the greatest violinists of the last century. incredible staccato by the way...

  • very crisp hands, ouh! orgasm.

  • imagine a fusion of bach vivaldi and paganini :o OMG best like God!!

  • is it me or this part at the end isnt in the piece??4:56...it actually may be his variation!!

  • how can you dislike this video? you can dislike a political idea or a poin of view BUT THIS !?

  • @lolaFreidzon I agree bro. Stupid sick people!!!

  • just one word: AMAZING!!

  • I Can't describe...prefect, fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! I play the viola, but I've never seen a violinist like that....when did he died?

  • @Gaya815 1988 was born in 1901

  • really wonderful

  • Very nice !!!

  • in my opinion, the greatest violinist ever recorded.

  • oh my god those false harmonics at 4:14 are so perfect

  • Perfect, fantastic!

  • Perfect!

  • If I could play that well, I'd might as well be the god of music.

  • absolutely perfect bow control...absolutely perfect everything...

  • diabólica interpretación....hermoso.

  • o, the precision! my brain cannot believe its ears!

  • 帕可尼尼的代言人~海飛茲~很棒~阿偉~台灣~

  • who the f... wrote notes for piano!? There should be NO piano!

  • i remember itzhak perlman saying that heifetz loved to parctice scales and this video is really showing that he did. This is so accurate that it really suprised me...:D

  • 5:20 piece is extraordinary

  • Excellent!!! ... wonderfull ... marvellous ... genial ... espectacular!!!

  • simplemente genial

  • i wiiiiish there had been a recording of paganini T.T.

  • wonderful

  • buena interpretacion pero no me hace sentir lo que nicolo jajaja

  • i almost died from jealousy watching this........

  • Ça, c'est de l'art.

  • Viola it's BEEESSST!!

    :D

  • viola is best :D

  • WAAOOOO DE LOS 24 CAPRICHOS...ESTE ME GUSTA MAS...AUNKE TODOS SON HERMOSOS..ME HUBIESE GUSTADO ASISTIR A UN CONCIERTE DE PAGANINI...DEFINITIVAMENTE PRECIOSO EL CAPRICHO...

  • @copperx20 a mi me gusta mas el 16, escuchalo

  • David Garret would bite in his violin.

  • Heifetz is the master violinist. A marvelous performance. The child prodigies referred to are not capable of playing like this, nor are some of the 20-year old wunderkind. There is a difference in playing "the notes" and playing "the musical phrases and 'glisses' " with gusto, feeling, velocity, endurance, and accuracy. Thanks, newsreelarchive.

  • O_O¡

  • imagine this, people back then work all their life just to reach this spot. now there are 12, 10, even 7 year olds that can play like this without a problem. if he had seen the child prodigies nowadays, he would be beyond the point of envy -.-

  • @iplehguitar The only difference between back then and now is that we live in an extremely egoist society with many who are crazed with the race to perfection and fame. A 7 year old playing Paganini virtuoso pieces with official concert debuts sounds splendid, but the life is not as fun as you would think. In the 1800's and 1900's, they probably had fun doing it as kids, without the pressure to perform at concert halls.

  • @iplehguitar A childhood friend of mine, considered as one of these prodigies, was taken under as a protege at many different orchestras including Moscow at 13. We both started the violin at 4, but while I just did it for fun non competitively, his parents were music teachers that had him practicing 5-6 hours today while he was still in kindergarten. Later in life we spoke, he told me how he felt anger for having much of his childhood taken away from him.

  • @Tim92G i guess the grass is always greener on the other side. i wish i had parents that pushed me as a child.

  • 2:08 sounds like a badass metal riff

  • look at that bow bounce O.O

  • cuanta delicadeza para tantas certezas.

  • ТАЛАНТ БЕССМЕРТЕН!

  • this song was so awesome I downloaded it twice! I still can't find a version of caprice 24 as good as this one though...

  • That's what they mean when they say: "A Master."

  • What is so incredible that he has such dynamite playing and smooth left hand technique without using a shoulder rest. Wow.

  • Beautiful and diabolical...

Nunca Imagine Despertar Esta Mañana, Navegar En Internet Y Encontrar Esto...

    Escuchar Esto...

  • @QuirONZ Apparently, Paganini once had to get his mother to write a letter certifying that he was NOT the son of the devil!

  • Um dia eu toco assim...

  • this is the most besutiful version from caprice 24.

  • IMPRESIONANTE!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wonderful.

  • There is something wrong here. Strange corroded sounds and lines. Not a pure Paganini sound. The soul does not sing here along. The man is a great virtuoso. But no purity of sound and soul. Not meant to offend anyone.

  • The best violin performer ever born...

  • He plays incredibly accurate.

The notes hit your ear like arrows.

    Fast, confident, but not rushed.

    Exceptional performance.

Also i favour Leopold Auers adaption, the artificial flageolets fit perfectly, and the the subsequent part is very exciting, always makes my body release a bit of adrenaline =P

  • He is a God.

  • this version (compared to other caprice 24 by heifetz on youtube) has the noise digitally removed and that i think has ruined the audio quality. it sound discrete and uncomfortable. the video is great though.

  • 24 loles..

  • Yes, this is #24

  • This is number 25! jk :)

  • He was said that he practiced 25 times (Think so ) slower than the actual playing speed of the piece, and that's why, he could play extremely better than other violinist, and that's why , he's the best violinist albeit he has leave the world.

  • non ho le parole!

  • Fantastic.

  • It's number 24, the last one I think

  • perfect!

  • what a performer. I wonder if he's using a strad?

  • Well he had 3 strads but his favorite violin was a guarneri del gesu, named the David and he's probably using it on this vid.

  • yes, although strads have the best reputation. the guarneris are just as good but their tone is much richer and softer while the strads are known for their resonance and bright sounds. this is likely his Guarneri "David" or his Stradivarius the "Dolphin"

  • Brilliant! :)

  • Fabulous archive. Thank you.

  • Im learning (learnt) that at school at the moment on piano (cruddy keyboard), I love the piece of music!!

  • Fantastic Heifetz.

  • No one can be more skillful than him.

It just like a magic......how can a person playing violin like him.

  • ....ah what Paganini did wasn't magic...it was much...deeper huh

  • Amazing ... I am astonished.

  • Excellent Joscha Heifitz

  • nice
