Today all of us can download HD images from two independant satelites orbiting the moon.
All the Apollo landing sites are depicted with footsteps, instrumentations on the surface and the landing modules clearly visible. This is available from ALL the landing sites, and would you belive, the position is exactely where NASA said they landed. Fake? I´m sorry, but NOPE. To all of you in the "fake" community. You're right. The Japanese KAGUYA mission (2008) made 3D visualizations of the lunar surface. These and an actual Apollo 15 photograph were compared. The scenes are identical. Pictures of the Moon made in 1971 and 2008 are IDENTICAL. May be a hoaxer can explain why...?
It means nothing; it only means that the NASA managed to take photos of the moon, but it does not mean than men landed on the moon; KAGUYA did not show remnants of the Apollo missions.

The Apollo 11 crew had 3 men. So roughly, just their suits cost $750,000 total. They also spent millions of dollars on the shuttle, fuel etc., and there's proof that Apollo 11 took off on July 16, 1969 because there's videos of it taking off. So why the hell would they spend that much to fake it?

E.g. they set up a mirror there that allows laser beams to be reflected on that particular spot. In fact that is how we measure the distance to the moon up to milimeter precision.

The computer on board was a small one, its memory was enough to receive the orders and calculate the single task of guidance. The mainframe computers in Houston did the work and sent the orders to the capsule.

That is a good comment. In 5000 years time I doubt archeologists will find much in the rubble of todays civilisation to be proud of. @DeadJesus100 When I visited the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, they had an original Apollo space suit on display. In the description, they said it cost roughly $250,000 (1960's currency) per suit. The Apollo 11 crew had 3 men. So roughly, just their suits cost $750,000 total. They also spent millions of dollars on the shuttle, fuel etc., and there's proof that Apollo 11 took off on July 16, 1969 because there's videos of it taking off. So why the hell would they spend that much to fake it?

E.g. they set up a mirror there that allows laser beams to be reflected on that particular spot. In fact that is how we measure the distance to the moon up to milimeter precision.

@chabi3000 The technology to fly to the Moon and back safely was available. The astronauts were high-skilled pilots. Most of the manouvres were done manual. The computer on board was a small one, its memory was enough to receive the orders and calculate the single task of guidance. The mainframe computers in Houston did the work and sent the orders to the capsule.

@chabi3000 Apollo took risks with men and equipment that would be unacceptable today.A return to the moon would still be risky and fearfully expensive.Apollo`s goal was to get there.We would only go back now as part of a bigger strategy (eg a base or a stop off for mars) The equipment would need to be totally new.You`re kinda right about the budget although it`d be pricier than that.It may well be China who tries next now that NASA cut the lunar project(remember people criticized the cost then)
