now i'm really confused. let's say you won one of Ai's many contests and have the tuition covered or in other words, money isnt an issue. i have been told (not by Ai) that the only thing employers really care about is your portfolio (and i mean this only for graphic design). they say they dont really care where you went to school so long as you have a degree so they know you are serious about the job. does anyone who works in the field of graphic design know if this is true?
My Admissions Representative and Student Finance Counselor told me right off the bat it was $457 per credit hour. You probably just got someone new who had their words mixed up. Besides, when have you ever heard of a college charging you based on class? I've never seen a college that doesn't charge by the credit hour. All the faculty has been nothing but extremely generous to me. My Admissions Representative checks up with me every day to make sure I'm understanding everything in class.
@b00mYou No, people who AI target have usually never heard of anything when it comes to the inner workings of college. And "probably just got someone new?!?!?!" These are people's lives and someone who doesn't have their facts straight shouldn't be let anywhere near a phone.
You need to wake up, pal. I hope you do before you graduate and realize the degree they promised you is FUCKING WORTHLESS.
When I first talked with the admissions representative I told him that the costs were prohibitively high for this school. He responded by saying that with AiPOD's educational "quality", after attending AiPOD I would be more or less "guaranteed" a job that would bring me "3 or 4 times the cost of the entire tuition easily". He gave the impression that AiPOD actually taught something OTHER than "by-rote"attendance (which I learned in first-grade, thank you!). Attending AiPOD = Endless Nighmare!
I need someone to look at my paperwork. I'm so bad at math it's not even funny. I don't know what to do! I won a "scholarship", but I feel like I was bullied into this. :(
@Neequu78 If you're doing to AI just use your online library! There are literally hundreds if not thousands of resources right there at your fingertips for all industries. All you have to do is put in the effort. They also have a live tutor center with tutors ready to tutor you.
Call your faculty. Talk to them. Tell them you're not understanding it. Talk to your professor. Communication is everything.
I just noticed this when auditing my own account BUT turns out they were charging me upwards of 700$ per credit hour...when I asked about this they tried to change numbers around on me and finally after they realized I could do math they hung up and told me I would get something in the mail.
Nope because the PDF file that showed what my classes were going to cost, is password protected and I forgot the password to it. I used to know it, and I had it wrote down somewhere but for the life of me, I dont know where it is. I still have the PDF file but its pretty much useless because it is Password protected. Now have you ever heard of a school that PW protects those types of information files??? Odd, huh?
@sinwoman70 I'm wondering if people are just making crap like this up. None of my financial information is password protected. Also, it's accessable right from the AI Campus Common.
Get a grip people and quit trying to find things to complain about... in fact, this is the first thing they teach you in your very first course... LOL
