Another note, the KOs that did not make it to X2 PS2 or X2 AC are the HP 1-2 Power Mixes, "Be With You (Still Miss You)", "PARADISE", and "Now's The Time". Maybe those stuff were ment to be Wii exclusives.
There were missing PS2 X2 licenses: "I'm Coming Out" "Hungry Like The Wolf" "One Step At A Time" "Enjoy The Silence" "Never Gonna Give You Up" "Bonafied Lovin'" "Boogie Wonderland" "Detroit Rock City" "Feel Good, Inc." "Good Times" "My Prerogative" "Pork And Beans" "Praise You" "South Side" "The Space Dance". So many licenses! HP3 pwns for its licenses that did not make it to PS2 X2!
@AgentPofNewVestroia Many of which had the better charts of the license list as well. X2 got screwed there, and IMO after having it for a bit the revivals don't make up for it either as most of those I could've played on SN/SN2 or Extreme 2.
@dship98 X2 if you want the Challenge Difficulty on some of the new songs, and the classic revivals. HP3 if the licenses are more your thing and don't mind the absence of the Challenge charts. HP3 is also infinitely easier to unlock everything on. IMO, if you can get both as they're both probably cheap to get now.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find DDRX2 anywhere.
@023338 No. Not one DDR home game has ever had a song transfer option. Makes me wish they did have a disc swap option sometimes but to Konami that would be extra work.
los DDR con el tiempo estan perdiendo esa cierta chispa japonesa que los destacaba tanto porque era un buen juego, ahora estan poniendo demasiada musica estadounidense o de cualqier otro pais y esa no es la idea ya que el DDR es un juego japones
When I first looked at this video it was ok. But one song had to ruin it for me and the is the Rick Roll song. I am never going to get this game because of that one song. Also to let people know Rick is gay. What I mean is he is really gay meaning He amitted that he likes men.
@darknight068 My personal favorite is Extreme 2. I don't think SN1 or SN2 did that bad either. I mostly loved them for their boss songs. I completely agree with you that DDRX or later is really bad.
@Gigacorn AAs are easier to obtain, that's why. It's somewhat akin to how I believe it was either Max1 or 2 that gave you a AA for FCing the song. HP1 was the only one to keep the strict arcade requirements for a AA along with the PS2 releases beyond Extreme 2.
Personally, I like how they mixed in a couple of classics, like Brilliant 2U and Dynamite Rave... they aught to do that more... I don't like having to spend a dollar in order to play the original B4U on the nearest DDR SuperNOVA... plus, I hear DDR X2 arcade has Roppongi EVOLVED Ver D
@Gigacorn -_-; I realize this now... I wound up playing the original Dynamite Rave, Brilliant2U, and True Love when I returned to the SuperNOVA AC machine, and they definitely sound better.
Still, they get SOME credit for trying. of course, if I understand fans right, then they'd much rather have the original songs brought back in their entirety. hell, if anything, DDR Wii needs more difficulty. Pluto the first is great and all, but I'd really like to see a new, GOOD Max Song on Wii, amirite?
@SlickDX536 Brilliant 2U is still on DDRX AC, but the Dynamite Rave is the one with the new lyrics, BUT the old chart. True Love Clubstar has existed long before it's HP1 debut as part of a soundtrack CD.
On another note, why are people STILL asking for a Max song, when they haven't even put a new Max song in the arcade releases since FAXX. Max period is the only one I'd really want to see come to the US, but I know damn well that ain't happening.
@darknight068 o_o; I apparently have little clue about the DDR song history, seeing as how i started through the HP games.
Max, from what I've read already, it's easily made itself THE go-to series of difficult songs. though you could also include the Pluto series, Regarding PtF, and a few other songs that aren't a series (bag is all I remember from past games, and I doubt if you count Universe 3's 888, being recent). Max just seems to stick out to most when looking or a challenge, I guess...
@SlickDX536 The original Max series of songs are the most popular since they're also the first of their kind of difficulty. However, all three of them are now in the lower tier of difficulties as the hardest one, which is Legend of Max is now considered a 15. In comparison, Super Samurai (downgraded from 16), along with roppongi Evolved are 15s too. Max 300 is a 14. Pluto the First is a 17 (and the ONLY chart of it's kind in the HP series) and is part of the Pluto series of songs...
@SlickDX536 ... see Pluto Story course on DDRX2 AC where the Pluto series of songs, Pluto, Pluto Relinquish, and Pluto The First are all featured back to back. The only Max song on par with those (with the exception of the easier Pluto) is Fascination MAXX. The original Max songs along with Paranoia Survivor are good introductory boss songs, though all of those have been in previous releases on PS2 already and I don't see them reviving them, especially with the direction they've gone.
@ryan71196 MAX and MAX2 can be found for $9.99 or less. DDRX has Butterfly, SN1 has Love Shine. For around $50 you can get all the PS2 releases and have hundreds of songs and a tracklist based more off the arcade titles.
The HP series has ALWAYS been geared more toward getting new audiences, which means new material.
@XMarxanX i agree!! I just bought this for my wii yesterday and I was disappointed with the songs!!! Even the skill level! I USED to the the DDR for my ps2 and it took me forever to do standard version! I havent played ddr in sooooooo long and i went straight into the difficult level.. mind yu i STILL cant do standard in some songs in my old ddr...it was a shame i lost the dvd for my ps2 thats the only reason why i bought the wii version!!! booo

@ryuurei01 If you're familiar with MAX1 US, you should've gotten HP1 and/or 2 instead, as HP3 went in reverse difficulty wise compared to them. Those were both much harder games. HP1 actually had BPM changes in songs that weren't 10s, and it's charts are closer to what you would've gotten in something like MAX1 US. And there's not a single 9 in HP3 that's as hard as Closer to Your Heart, among others in HP2.
@ryuurei01 Or also, let me put it this way. In HP3 I've AAAd everything that was 9 or less on foot in a matter of three months. Licenses and KOs. On HP1 and 2 I still have several songs left in the KO sections of both and I've had those for years now. Especially with HP1. I've AAAd the licenses on HP1 and 2, but especially with HP1, it was a MUCH harder feat to do. I have AAd all of HP2, but still have problems in HP1. In comparison to PS2, I have AAd all of MAX1.
I won't be able to afford a dance mat at first, and will only be using my balance board, does that mean I won't be able to unlock all the new things at first?
@EnspelledEntranced I THINK you still get DDR points in balance board mode, which means you'll still be able to unlock stuff, but the process will be slower. Your best bet would be to just play tournament mode with the classic controller/GC controller as that's the quickest way to unlock anything.
this game is way too easy, compared to all the other ddr games ever made, all the songs are like rnb no good songs to actually dance to, like love shine, afranova etc. I got this game just the other day already bored of it, got AA rank and full combo set like in every song on expert.
DDR HP sucks in many ways, dont know why they a making them with a lot of disgusting songs, no rave, no tecno, no electronic, ps2 ddrs were WAYYY MUCH BETTER
@XMarxanX@XMarxanX i agree!! I just bought this for my wii yesterday and I was disappointed with the songs!!! Even the skill level! @loveromance825 Those grades are actually old now, as every song is now AAAd with the exception of the boss charts and HP1 and 2. I came REAL close to a PFC on the HP1 track though, as I managed to get 3 greats on the Super Samurai section.
@heijasc They just gave them typical PS2 easy license charts, and I was mad about that too. It was the biggest problem with the game as the license AAAs came within about a couple weeks tops IIRC. That aspect was a significant downgrade from HP1 and 2, as those games had harder and good license charts. Especially HP1.
Go play a hacked ITG or Stepmania dude. You know full well if Konami made a release that completely catered to you it would be a lost cause because outside of you and couple others nobody would want to buy it.
And if Sacred Oath isn't Japanese, I don't know what is. Speaking of which, WTF is up with saying jap? Show some respect fool.
2.the Expert difficulty of this game is just Standard in the PS2 version(Standard is one difficulty lower than Expert) so yeah...the game is easy no matter what you speak.
3.Konami already made games catered to me and many ppl and they were an complete succees compared to this one. so you obviously dont know what you were talking about.
Japanese doesnt cares, they are not so immature, pathetic and sensible like you, show some respect fool.
The DDR from PS2 are way bether....These DDr HP every single one suck.......just my opinion the ones from PS2 Way bether harder and bether songs DDR Max 2 for example or the DDR Extreme 2? those where betehr the HP sucks
The songs are very easy except for kimono♥Princes and those other songs i was like 0?_o wtf i had to do them on basic just so i could get new songs. and for wen it says you have new songs on course music i don't get that cause i go there and all it does is makes me play all the songs from my playlist and idk why it doesn't let me get my new songs! ^-^
The courses each consist of a collection of six songs already available put together in a nonstop back to back session. There are no new songs in the courses.
Oh and everything is easy to PASS. That's not a measure of difficulty in this game. It's scoring well on higher difficulties where the true challenge of this game lies.
I unlocked those in Tournament Mode. It's in the one mission where you're forced to play certain songs with gimmicks turned on. Pass all three and gimmicks will be unlocked.
sorry for tardy response to your question. Depeche Mode is an English electronic band formed in the 80s and their song Enjoy the Silence is featured in DDR Hottest Party 3. And their my fav band :)
Neither does DDRX2 and as far as I'm concerned they got stiffed on the license difficulty. The Space Dance isn't a 9, but it's still a good sight better than most of the license list. So is Detroit Rock City.
It actually makes me mad because it would've been one thing if they made the game the way HP1 and 2 were done where hand markers were part of the official charts for the songs. But since on here Free Play is essentially traditional DDR, it didn't make any sense to me anymore. Same goes for the lack of challenge charts.
Why do people keep asking for BeForU knowing full well that Konami lost the deal with that group YEARS ago? As for the weird techno music, they lost access to Dancemania even before the BeForU deal.
That would be very idiotic IMO. And I can tell you right now that I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) will NOT get it's video irregardless of the platform.
When I was 13 I got a ddr and I tore that shit UP! I also discovered enrique iglesias :D

The DDR from PS2 are way bether....These DDr HP every single one suck.......just my opinion the ones from PS2 Way bether harder and bether songs DDR Max 2 for example or the DDR Extreme 2? those where betehr the HP sucks
LightNinja01 2 years ago
What are you doing here then? Go play them.
darknight068 2 years ago
@LightNinja01 Oh look, you can't vouch for anything after Extreme 2. That's because the series WENT TO SHIT then.
The 360 and Wii versions are superior.

Question:
If you get a Marvelous Full Combo, will there be a white "Full Combo Finish" splash?
It seems plausible since there's different colors for the "# combo" display also.
blueapple128 2 years ago
That's how it is on DDRX AC and DDRX2 so I can imagine that's how it is on here. Too bad I actually haven't done that to see for myself.

MsiSkater 2 years ago
The courses each consist of a collection of six songs already available put together in a nonstop back to back session. There are no new songs in the courses.
Oh and everything is easy to PASS. That's not a measure of difficulty in this game. It's scoring well on higher difficulties where the true challenge of this game lies.
darknight068 2 years ago
I would hardly say Pluto the First Expert is "easy" to pass.
blueapple128 2 years ago 2
Ohh no wonder. XD. Yeah the only way you could get new dancers, songs, and arrows, is by passing the tournaments.
Yes that's true but then again the more you practice the better you get.
MsiSkater 2 years ago
Does the ddr pack have 1 mat or 2; 1 right?
albinopig123 2 years ago
@albinopig123 it only has one mat, the other, you can get like at "game stop"
waterspirit2 1 year ago
@albinopig123 just 1

How do you unlock Gimmick?
anikid0392 2 years ago
I unlocked those in Tournament Mode. It's in the one mission where you're forced to play certain songs with gimmicks turned on. Pass all three and gimmicks will be unlocked.
darknight068 2 years ago
AAA (w/ crown) on EXP?!!! How?!!
anikid0392 2 years ago
I LOVE the songs on here so much more than the ones on the 2nd. I want this one so badly! I really wanna get RICK ROLL'D.

darknight068 2 years ago

how many points to complete?
DarkCobalt55 2 years ago
Damn if I can remember. lol That's been a bit of time now.
darknight068 2 years ago
this game has no 9 footer licenses..
elosodelmal 2 years ago
Neither does DDRX2 and as far as I'm concerned they got stiffed on the license difficulty. The Space Dance isn't a 9, but it's still a good sight better than most of the license list. So is Detroit Rock City.
darknight068 2 years ago
is this game on Wii?
Sakura5304 2 years ago
yes
blueapple128 2 years ago
can't wait <3
Rrheno 2 years ago
how many total songs?
Alfredotendo 2 years ago
60, 58 single songs, and 2 nonstop megamixes.
darknight068 2 years ago
One burning question from me, since the rest of this game looks totally sexy...
Is there EDIT mode?! o.o
TimeSpaceMage 2 years ago
No, for whatever idiotic reason Konami doesn't believe Wii owners want anything like that.
darknight068 2 years ago
Well fuck...
And I even suggested it on DDROC back when it was still in development. I'll be holding off on getting this game then.
TimeSpaceMage 2 years ago
It actually makes me mad because it would've been one thing if they made the game the way HP1 and 2 were done where hand markers were part of the official charts for the songs. But since on here Free Play is essentially traditional DDR, it didn't make any sense to me anymore. Same goes for the lack of challenge charts.
darknight068 2 years ago
DD: I like chinese music and techno music for ddr, i don't like this songs. I got DDR HP 2, and i loved it. Wah.

does this have all the same songs as DDRX2 for ps2 have?
rockleeluver4ever 2 years ago
It doesn't have the JP and AC revivals. However it does have 15 extra licenses and 6 exclusive KOs two of which are nonstop megamixes..
darknight068 2 years ago
Kiss in a DDR game? o_O

yeah i know kiss???

what about beforu, naoki, and other wierd techno music that ddr is famous for
jeffreybelic 2 years ago
Why do people keep asking for BeForU knowing full well that Konami lost the deal with that group YEARS ago? As for the weird techno music, they lost access to Dancemania even before the BeForU deal.
darknight068 2 years ago
DDR just got Rick Rolled XD
I really like most songs in this game, I can't wait to get it, but first DDR X2
starfoxluver 2 years ago 4
wow, music that plays on the radio every day, lame, what happened to Eurobeat that DDR is famous for? ugh
MapleBedas 2 years ago
Does This Disturbia have a music vdieo?
wavergame 2 years ago 2
No, it didn't get its music video. It's got a routine though.
darknight068 2 years ago
alright sweet! I'm thinking about getting this game also. I got X2, and I love it
wavergame 2 years ago 2
I'm sure PS3 and 360 will have music video since Konami did say all license will have music video
XohshitztonysbackX 2 years ago
That would be very idiotic IMO. And I can tell you right now that I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) will NOT get it's video irregardless of the platform.
darknight068 2 years ago
THANKS :)
